Wait, right up there with the Americans? i don't think so. I would buy Asian first, then a Korean (hyundai), then....if I had no choice, or maybe a $20,000 rebate, I'd then look at a car from Gm, Ford, or Chrysler. i have been burned by them so many times, I'd consider a Huffy first.
I think you mean Japanese first and then Korean. I know this is a 10 month old comment but I just had to correct that because both Japan and Korea are in Asia. Also I loved that part about choosing Huffy first it was hilarious.
Don't agree at all with this review about the wheels looking too small or the comment about the wheel wells. The body of this car is perfectly in proportion to the wheels and looks amazing and sharply styled. The newer model after this one is definitely more understated to say the least and all the fluidic design that made this model so eye catching is completely gone on the newer model and Hyundai decided to go the ford fusion design route and that is so unfortunate. Sales have took a nose dive because of it and they are actually losing money on each of the new 17 models. A very quick redesign or model refresh will definitely be happening for 18 or 19.

i'm looking at the accent as my first car but the extra space and style of the elantra is tempting
This car is very fuel efficient for a 1.8L 140hp engine. I average 6.5l /100km across all driving conditions.
