I’ve sewn small projects but the time between projects is soo long that every time i started a project i was nervous because i was out of practice🤦🏽♀️😆. My goal is to sew more small projects and work my way up to garments

The circle bottom had that pintuck because the fabric feeds through the sewing machine at different rates: the fabric against the feed dogs goes through a smidge faster than the fabric against the foot. This can be prevented by using way more pins, a Teflon sewing foot, or a walking foot, but I don’t think you really needed it for this bag, the final piece looks so good!

You can also baste the two pieces together before running them through the machine if you don’t want to get a special foot (or struggle with the stiffness of a million pins). Beautiful bag - I love your channel!!

Nice! I like the pockets, they seem really convenient. I just sewed some project bags this weekend but I just winged it and made simple flat-bottom drawstring bags without a pattern. Now you've got me thinking I need to include pockets on the next one!

I’ve used binder clips for years. Cheaper and sturdier than the plastic ones sold for sewing.

Try putting a dab of super glue down towards the end of the knot on the straps maybe? I bet it would help keep the knot from slipping out.
