Thank you for this in depth video on this subject. Music is all about personal taste...to make YOUR sound not just a copy of top artists. Not to say you can get ideas and such from them...but at the end of the day it's on you. I'm still trying to find a good way to make a trance/synth wave hybrid track. I did notice that there is one track of mine on Soundcloud that is getting a ton of replays.
Keep up the good work, persistence will get you far and like you mention one track will get more feedback and that then can become you focus to hone in that sound.😎🎛
Does it ever make sense to add aux reverb to a synth that has built in reverb on it?
I usually will opt for reverb externally so I can control where it appears in the plugin chain. Reverb before side chain or reverb after side chain is one example, if you want side chain on the sound but not the reverb then you have that option to rearrange your chain. Straight from the synth result in the reverb being right at the very beginning no matter what. 🙂🎧
Do you try to keep master under -3db or -6db? And how would you manage that when you layer miltiple sounds and get w huge sound
Why no Spire ? What makes synthmaster 1 your go-to ?
Synthmaster 1 was a choice for this demonstration and has a really nice analog style warmth that I have grown to love.
The same does apply to other synths as they are pretty much the same but with their own take on their audio engines. 🙂
