- Ever since I got the Moroso coolant tank for the NC Miata, I have always wanted to accompany it with the Moroso power steering fluid reservoir. I finally got it! It's a basic install besides dealing with the power steering fluid.

Who needs a reason to upgrade anything. Looks good!
"Because I want it" is always enough of a reason! Looks great!
Thanks dave
Those are nice looking aftermarket reservoir tanks, I see why you like them. One trick I use when I need to empty a small automotive reservoir, I have a dedicated turkey baster to reach in and suck out most of the fluid before disassembling those parts. I recently sold my Honda Shadow motorcycle and thinking about buying a convertible. Videos like yours help me see what it's like to actually own the car, not just test drive it for an hour. So far I like the NC MX5, Z3 or Z4, possibly a convertible Mustang. Cheers.
Thanks! Love your videos!
Thanks, answered my question on how much fluid I was going to lose. Does look gross after swapping the expansion tank, now it matches. Already have the AEM intake so easy access!
A turkey baster is generally the best way to suck out all the existing power steering fluid.
Changing the coolant tank is a good idea anyway due to known premature failures...or failures period. My 06 AT .....with my 2.5 swap I changed the coolant tank with an OEM replacement. Good for another 100.k anyway right..................still have stock intake and exhaust. Actually with my Koni Str and Goodwin Racing Progressive Springs........only squats down lower than stock about 1.2 inch which is fine with me.
With ceramic header and cam/ and properly tuned the car is fast as hell..............a real sleeper since running stock exhaust and such. I absolutely love my 2.5 swap and the suspension upgrade which was due since my Winning Blue had 102.k at the time of upgrade and swap which was first of this year.
your doing this the right way ..............your going to learn allot if you do this swap yourself................you need to lift the car up and drop the sub frame is the easiest way.
Later gator
Both the coolant tank and power steering fluid reservoir look durable. One thing in defence of the OEM ones is that you can shine some light on top of them and inspect the fluid levels without taking the caps off. Other than that, the new ones look cool :)
awesome video!@
Thanks homie
Another great video. Thanks! Any thoughts about update to your hoses w/colored silicone ones?
Hmm, I think they're cool if you wanted to do them. Not on my radar though
Hey man! This looks great! I saw one of your videos the other day and then bought the replica front lip from the appearance package! I’ve got it here but really struggling to fit it! Could you give me any hints!
Looks good! Same reservoir cap? Any options for the cap?
Yes same
I'm still on the fence with this one. Maybe I'll swap mine later.
Have you ever thought about moving the battery to trunk? That would make way for your future turbo!
Yeah I'm working on a plan for that
Are you doing the power steering fluid bleed on the ground or jack stands?
Have you seen the black powdercoat model -- looks real good along side of its powdercoat mate (coolant tank). Trying to decide which way I'll go -- a few pennies more to keep it all black!! Q: can you see the coolant levels through the glass(side) with the airbox in the way???
The black model is dope. You kind of can, tough, but with some light you can see it
Is there a link for this tank?
Could probably paint the stock resovoir to save money. Aluminium definitely looks nice if your willing to spend $$$
@@bUtMyRiGhTsah that too
What fluid did you use? Thanks
You'll want to use ATF
Hi , do I need to Jack up car after install to rotate steering wheel or on the ground? Thank you much !
Don't need to jack up but yes, bleed system
@@ColoredinLight Thank you for your help appreciate it🙏🏼👆🏼
So how do you know when it’s full? I know the coolant tank had a site glass but this one doesn’t.
Gotta open it and look inside
@@ColoredinLight thanks man. That was my guess but wanted to ask.
Does it weight more than stock
The difference is negligable
@@ColoredinLight ok thanks
Anyone have trouble with the cap leaking? Seems okay on the street, but at track temps it's blowing PS fluid all over my engine bay. I confirmed it's the cap and not the other connections.
You probably filled it up too much. I had that happen once
@@ColoredinLight sounds like a problem that'll fix itself then. 🙂
I have mine filled just about level with the shelf inside
6:56 - Brake fluid is looking a bit dark in the reservoir.
Only a year old, it's all good
are you working in a cave? lights!
I never noticed. Check out the newer videos lol.
@@ColoredinLight i'm a fan anyway just bought a 2013 prht
