Thank you, man. When i listen to albums like these and especially, when i listened to this one from beginning to the end, as a musician myself I really wish to be able to build something merely similiar to this. Unfortunately life says no to me every single time. I just wish there are more of gems like this and your channel in general. Thank you again.
Holy crap, I thought my album of the year would be firmly cemented as Imaginal Disk since it was already November, but then this came out of nowhere. As Small As Ants was already one of my favourite albums of all time, but think that this has somehow smashed my expectations and then some. This might be one of the greatest albums that I have ever heard in my life. The sheer brilliance of the performance and production in every ounce of every song is overflowing. The vocals are fantastic, January and Before Machinery have such bleak and powerful presentations, while Old George has gorgeous vocals and instrumentation that I never could have imagined would have come from this record. The use of noise and samples in songs like the title track completely floored me. Sevenbass/ Lorne feels like an exhibition of how well the performance of the instrumentals on this record are. The writing of everything is gorgeous. Just listening to this for the first time made me almost cry, which is an immense achievement. The growth shown between As Small As Ants, an already brilliant record, and this is insane. I think this might have cemented you as one of my favourite artists ever. Thank you for making this. (I am a part of a server that does album exchanges each week, and I used this one for my exchange. My partner also thought it was really good. This record is an incredible achievement).
@frozentanukii this is one of the nicest comments I've ever gotten, thank you so much for sharing it around with others because I think this really does have the potentially to connect with a lot of people as it did with you!! thanks for the support 🫂💪👽
my entire week wasn't good. im mentally drained and burnout. the only thing that's keeping me happy is cooking. and random albums i find. this one is special to me, its like all my thoughts put in a single song. thank you youtube for recommending me peak and goldd. also god speed to my brother who is in the hospital. i hope he makes a full recoveryy.
Hoping that your situation gets better!! Sounds really bad but I'm so honoured if this work can play a small role into your personal recovery... thank you < 3
I've taken to clicking on albums that the algorithm throws at me. The dog compelled me to click. The music compelled me to stay. I'm glad you choose to release this and I hope any future releases come with less pressure.
@@thisistheglasshouse it's nice to see a video of a dog without happy ukulele and xylophone music over top of it. I approve of your brand of dogsploitation
Holy crap, mythical pull? The sax in the first song, so good. My new favorite song on repeat. Thanks UA-cam and thanks for uploading this on the internet.
This is exactly the kind of music I love ! That's what I'm looking for when clicking on random albums on UA-cam. I'm only halfway through and this is already so good. Congrats !
Every song is such a jam, just absolutely packed with emotion. The effort to create something like this doesn't go unnoticed, and you can tell how much of a labor of love this is, thank you for sharing. So so good, what a gem, beautiful work.
Wow no wonder this album almost killed you, this is crazy. I cannot believe you have 600 subscribers, that is absolutely criminal. I really adore this style of music and the quality is clear throughout the entire thing. Banger after banger after banger. Well fucking done.
When the first song started I thought this was Everything Everything, not sure if you've heard of them. But that is an immense compliment. As the song goes on I feel your sound much stronger and it's so fucking good.
Just sat and listened to the whole thing. I had my album of the year locked in but I guess not anymore. Genuinely incredible, like a harmonious cacophony of a thousand different sounds. Incredible stuff!
@@thisistheglasshouse your right, ive certainly grown insensitive to good music that i need my mind to be blown, this did blow my mind! thanks for making it!
This is like a blend of jazz and progressive rock, and additionally reminds me of the band Moon Hooch in certain areas. This is amazing, adding all of these songs to my spotify playlist ASAP. thanks for the great music.
@@thisistheglasshouse Haha, same man. My buddy and I used to bump moon hooch back around 2013 in our last year in high school. This is some great stuff here, glad you were able to pull through the thick of production hell and put out this wonderful art!
Holy shit this is amazing. DC-3 AND Chicago referenced??? Insane. I wanna buy a physical copy of this, but it's only on cassette and idk how to feel about cassettes :c 10/10 album tho
@@thisistheglasshouseyeah this album's really good, i like it a lot even if the track lengths are a bit long for my liking. my only real complaint is the lack of any way for me to follow along with the lyrics since my hearing isn't the greatest, but there's still plenty of more instrumental tracks i could enjoy. eight six seven is by far my favorite track off this album, it's a complete bop and i love the vibe of it. january was also amazing and both before machinery and old george reminded me of plunderphonics albums i've listened to in the past so yeah, good shit. solid 8/10 from me
This got recommended to me by the youtube algorithm and I'm glad it did! Also saw this album pretty high up on the 2024 list on rateyourmusic so I guess a double recommendation. I like the wide range of instruments here and also the fact that you're not afraid to crank up the distortion at times. Good work!
