So the fuse relay box in the engine compartment in a 99 is different, and if you swap the stater relay and the one closest to it, you will be swapping the ignition relay and the starter relay. If one of them is bad, you won't be able to start regardless, because you need ignition and the starter to start. You can swap the HDLP relay (headlamps) with the starter relay, or swap the HDLP headlamp relay with the ignition to see if either of those is bad, but you have to have a relay in both the ignition and starter positions. Alternatively, you can check just check the individual relays by swapping them into the HDLP headlamp position, and try turning on the lights. If the lights work, the relay is good. But turn off the headlamps while swapping around relays.

I took my car for a remote starter since that the starer die and i replacement for a new one. And the we figure out it was the underground. So we made it crank on and jut took me to one place to other and then again doesn star. After a few hours when the engine got cold. To crank again. 😢
Thanks for the comment
So my gmc Sierra won’t crank at all but starts something weird lol I need help
Start with a new battery and upgrade the grounds.
I swapped relays and checked fuses... still nothing
Does it try to crank? Battery and starter motor are good?
I have a trail blazer that has the same issue, but it made a weird sound before it stopped working while driving.. it was driving pretty bad before that. Now, I don't know if the engine ceased up or not..😣😢😭
Is this ua-cam.com/video/MAKDJoNg3C8/v-deo.html legit!?!?!?!?

@@bankroll_g Did you tap on the starter solenoid?
@@bankroll_gAny updates?
I had the same problem for a long time I changed the ignition switch and also the cylinder just to find out was the crank shaft position sensor and problem solved
Glad you figured it out!

Thanks for sharing!
It don't crank like the fuel pump no power and no nothing Brandy starter
What's the battery voltage? Is the battery tight?
Somebody Sue them so this will stop
Can't really do that with older vehicles that don't have warranty. I'm showing a 19 year old truck in the video.
Ive changed 2 crankshaft position sensors, one ignition, tow haul doesnt work, sometimes starts immediate sometimes hard and a backfire ish. Idk shit hurts my soul i love my 6.0 273100just passed today on er.. fuckin help

Check the small ground on the back of the engine block under the intake manifold.
Maybe it's just me

I just got my 99 gmc Sierra 2500 out of storage and it wouldnt start and jumped it and started. However then it wouldnt start again after getting gas then i jumped it with a semi ju.p box and started, after that next day wouldnt start. Kid you not i was recording the issue then all the sudden started out of the blue, i left it running and then disconnected the positive battery cable and it started every time. Then today my idiot friend told me it was going to eave me stranded and guess what it did🤬🤯, all day!!! Called insurance at 3:30 pm report it for roadside and it wSnt till dozens of people later the. Telling me i had to wait till tomorrow when i have 2 dogs and 6 more at my friends needed out and i still am ticked.... Anyways thenthey said i had to pay out of pocket and itold them i didnt care if i had a million dollars iwouldnt pay a single penny and i pay insurance every month so i dont have too. They kept arguing i told them they gonna have to pay so the out of service guy she sent to me and i called them and told them i didnt want to waste their time of insurance wasnt paying cuz my ass is broke. However i already had my friend have amother guy come to help although his charger wouldnt work. At the same time he shwed up then the orher people showed up🫣🤣... Well they both said it was my started however its always started by jumping the battery. And it is a walmart junk battery. There was a huge spark wheniwas trytto tighten my cables earlier and i could never get spark after that from no ones cables. The truck started however lightss were dim then they went bright then they shut off and my truck light necer go off. I actually had to turn them on to use them then acter 5-10 minutes of driving they back to always on no matter what. My radio dont work now. Amd forgot to mention i have a whole world armys of mice living in my truck and they chewed up everything so i think its nore of wires are chewed then anything. But i still dont know. You made it look so easy taking those relays out 🧐.. im scared to shut it off or even go take it to get tested. What are your thoughts? Just replace all the relays or switch em all over to dofferent spots?????? Nornally starters give you some sign but this is a chevy/gmc. Also when he said it was the starter cuz it only had one click, they tapped it with a hammer and it still wouldnt start. Ony when he used the semi jump box.
Check all the wiring for rodent damage, upgrade the grounds from battery to motor, chassis and battery. I would also put in a new AC Delco Gold battery.
No way ur dash got 200 mph
Cluster is in kilometers.
I changed the starter and it's still blowing the ignA 40a jcase fuse. I was starting one night it turned over twice blowed the fuse. Hasn't turned over since blows the fuse as soon as turn to crank even after putting new starter on it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
It is an 05 tahoe
The battery cable to the starter motor might be corroded. I would investigate and possibly replace.
@@AnthonyJ350 I appreciate the advice. It ended up being a bad ground strap. The braided one on the back of the motor to the body. Added a new one from body stud to new clean location right below next to the alternator.
I have mine it will only start when cold and not after driving replaced starter battery, alternator test good any ideas also swapped the relays and nothing
What year truck do you have?
