I made one last weekend as a dessert for our Easter dinner. It was delicious. The white part is creamy and sweet and the Jello cubes are fruity. I'm about to make another one because they are so yummy.
Hi. So glad you enjoyed it. Would love to see some pics. You could put them on our facebook page or send them to webmaster@cooknshare.com. Thanks and stay safe.
My nana made window pane jello with real cream for Christmas. Also with a graham cracker crust under it. I make it once a year. Definitely use the pineapple juice!
I'm from Panama, I grew up eating jello with evaporated milk. My mother in law was born in Haiti and she did too. I will make a change in your recipe and I will let you know how it turn out. I will ONLY make it with evaporated milk. I love the saltiness of the milk and the sweetness of the jello. GREAT recipe Dave!!!
Gorgeous and thank you for the detailed video. I've been wanting to make this stained glass jello for years and never did. Finally going to give it a try for the New Year's Eve party.
Hi Dave, I have not been cooking for a couple of years, but I’m tired of eating out, so I’m back watching you. Thank you for sharing this recipe. It looks so delicious! I will make this for my family get together next weekend.
I haven't make that yet , I thought is hard to make it. When I watch your video it is too easy. And it looks beautiful. The different color of the gel look awesome. Thank you very much for sharing it. I am going to try to make it.
Made your rainbow jello recipe, which tasted amazingly good, btw, but all of the jello cubes concentrated at the bottom rather than evenly dispersed from top to bottom. I wanted to have color displayed at the top too. What did I do wrong?
I really enjoyed your demonstration. It was so well explained and I cannot wait to make it for my family. What a wonderful way to entertain with a burst of colors. Perfect for Christmas time. Thank you for sharing this recipe. Would recommend it highly. Thank you.
I make it for the 4th of July party we had at the house and all we had a cookout and I made that for dessert because I'm I had a few kids over and I made it you know just the red and blue and use a condensed milk as a white for the fourth colors here in the US and everybody seemed to really enjoy it specially the kids and it was great because it was so hot hot and humid here in the south in the summer
I have to bring this to a group gathering. I've made it now but I've been trying to decide if I should slice it and put the spoons in the middle of the circle of the mold and cover it up with and leave it in the refrigerator before the actual event because I'm not going to be there. I think it would look like Domino's toppled over but it would be easier for serving. Otherwise I'm not sure how they're going to serve it. Any suggestions? There might be about 20 people attending.
Hi! If you add 1/3 if the milk combo into the bundt pan then jello, then more milk combo jello then remaining milk, then remaining jello, it won't curdle!
Specially for hot days in the summer save your having a cookout or fourth of July party that would be really good to make I'll probably be changing a color just using red and blue and white
Hi Dave, This is a beautiful desert. I am also from Canada, could you please let me know where you got this unflavoured gelatine from. I would really appreciate it. Thanks
For people who can’t have milk but can have heavy whipping cream, whip 2 cups of cream , 2 tablespoons sugar, vanilla if you like, then add slightly jelled jello which you have to prepare of course. 2 boxes of jello and 2 cups boiling water. I always use one cup boiling water and add ice to desired amount. If you do that make sure your cubes are ready.cut cubes 1/2 inch ,,cuter.
Well my mother is having throat surgery for her cancer next week so I'm really trying to learn all of this stuff cuz she might not be able to eat solid foods so thank you for responding back to me
This is exactly how my auntie has always made it! People are always so shocked about this dessert so I’m so excited to make it this year. One question to you grease your bunt pan before putting all the jello in? I’m nervous mine is going to be stuck.
I am going to give the bundt pan a quick spray with Pam. Can't hurt and would be bad if it stuck. I always grease and flour bundt pans very well but with this just a bit of spray on my Nordicware pan.
Hi there. No, actually I didn't. It just seem to slip right out. I guess the Jell-O is good enough. Hope you try it. It really is a pretty dish. Stay safe and well.
