Im rooting for Rivian to survive! Then maybe I'll get one of these to replace my Grand Cherokee in a few years....unless Jeep electrifies the Grand Cherokee by then.
In my opinion, the closest ICE competitor for an R1S is a Jeep Grand Cherokee. Yes, the Rivian is more expensive and faster, but other than that, the two vehicles match up in almost every other way. They are essentially the same size, offer three rows, have air suspension, have great offroad modes, etc... If Jeep were to make an EV version of the Grand Cherokee, I think it would be very similar to the what the R1S is today.
Lucid is known to have excellent driving characteristics, so the Gravity is expected to drive much better than any other E SUV.....on and off-road. And, the Gravity will have more space than most, with better frunk design. BUT overall, I still like the looks of the R1S, the best.
It’s the opposite mate. The reason why folks didn’t necessarily like Gen 1 R1T (noted as bouncy) vs R1S is because of wheelbase. While they had similar tuning the R1S being a bit longer helped reduce the awkwardness. To me the Gen 1 R1T was not an issue, but this Gen2 R1S definitely blows it out of the water
Ya, 258 with this wheel and tire package. With the optional moon discs you can get 272, but I did not want to spend extra money on wheels and tires when the base all-terrains look so good. 258 for me is more then ok, I work from home and travel occasionally.
I have a 10 year old Lexus 570 with 55000 miles. I don't drive much and have been waiting to get a quad in 2025, but I hear Trump is going to do away with the $7500 taxes credit, so next week I will the Tri motor. Have fun and be safe.
one of the rare reviews that aren't overly biased, this has a lot of realness and honesty!
You are far too kind! Thank you for watching.

Agreed!
Interesting. Most folks seem to think the Gen 1 R1T and Gen 2 R1S have comparable suspension quality now - previously, Gen 1 R1S was really bad.

Oof the price for 250. Looks great though.
I hear you, but to me It hasnt been a problem once!
Beautiful, but 250 and some miles only? That’s a bummer for the price

He is buddies with elon, so i wouldnt believe everything the media attempts to say... just my two cents.
Even if Trump gets rid of the tax credit, it won't be until 2026. Why do people panic and make rash decisions based on rumors?
If you make more than $150,000 you don't get the $7500 anyway... but, by all means, rush to get your $100,000+ tri-motor and get the $7500 credit.
@@iamnid people that make over that are leasing to still get the credit passes on from the dealership
Tesla Model X has FSD and way more advanced technologically.
What else aside from FSD is way more advanced in the X?
