I'm a diehard Gator and Bucs fan but Larry Munson has got to be the beat Radio voice of all time. He was made for Georgia Football. Just the way he said Dawgs fires me up. You could honestly sense the true physicality of the game. I loved his Atlanta play calls as well. Eli Gould and Gene Deckerhoff are up there but in my opinion Munson has to be my best of all time. Even though some of his playcalls were heart breaking moments for me as a Gator.
I don't hear too many fans talk about his one year with the Braves but in my opinion he was the best at that also, absolutely the best play by play broadcaster of all time !
Gator fan all my life but I love Larry Munson and used to listen to Bulldog games on Saturday just to listen to Larry's play by play, boy oh boy do I miss him !
Nothing like fall football listening to Munson and Al Ciraldo.... Georgia and Tech fans Spoiled rotten and so glad of it!! RIP Larry Munson RIP Al Ciraldo
A lot of things in life will ever be the same , but the Munson era had people turning their volume down on the tvs and cranking the radios up and i don’t think that will ever happen again , RIP can’t help but wonder what it would have been like if he were here in the Kirby era !!
Could you imagine Larry calling games today? He would be LOSING IT over our DAWGS & Kirby…Thank you for the incredible memories Larry…We all miss ya BUDDY
AND this didn't even include his classic Atlanta Falcon calls from 1988-92 including Deion Sanders first NFL game when he returned a punt for a TD or Paul MacFadden's LONG...LONG, LONG field Goal to beat Buffalo as time expired. Also "Primus 5, 17. 13, 10 yard line, 6, 5 touchdown Primus in the corner!"
@@SnowmanMultimedia Oh yes he did from those years I posted in original comment. That's how I knew him first, was the Falcon Radio play by play voice in the final few years at old Fulton County Stadium.
@@rustykuntz94 Coolness. Do you have any of his calls from those days? And you're right because he had moved on after the Georgia Dome was built if i am right
Think of what that could have been like,Georgia would have won national championship easily. Think of Horace King and Andy Johnson at running back ,Appelby at QB,Gene Washington .that would have been unstoppable
We did it y’all. We finally did it. MY GOD A CHAMPIONSHIP!!!
The greatest announcer that the University of Georgia will ever have rest in peace Larry you're sorely missed!
We Did it again y'all back to back National Champions
He would be so proud
Bama fan that lived in Peachtree City during the Herschel years. I loved listening to Larry every weekend.

I wonder what his call must’ve been like up there after Georgia finally won the National Championship.
probably similar to when he called it in 80
probably similar to his call in 1980 national championship ?
The best!
G.O.A.T.

“Oh you Herchel Walker!! He ran over two men!” - Greatest Sports call of all time!
Amem, yeah one of the best commentators in the SEC...
Oh how I wish He were here to call Kirby's Dawgs. I'm sure He's looking down cheering and pushing them on.
There is not a better announcer than the late Larry Munson. The Rush Limbaugh of college fb.
Go Dawgs!
Dang I wish he could’ve been here for the back to back championships.
Remember like yesterday! Stopped in traffic in Savannah as folks going Ape!!

Is it just me or was there more passion from the players/coaches/fans in these clips compared to today's game?
It’s just you
pretty sure past two years athens has been the loudest in the country hitting 113 dbs
I remember Andy Johnson.
My older brother was in athens high his senior year
Excuse me, can you upload 25 Year of UGA Football: the vince dooley era & 100 Years of Georgia Football 1892-1992?
I don't have any of those, unfortunately.
Ray Goff dated my sisters best friend. I was 10 years younger than them. Later on he was in a bar and hit on me. LOL!!!
Go DAWGS!
My skinny little assistant with the wiff on the high 5.....GoDawgs
It wont let me click the like button
Appleby should have been the starting quarterback. There was enough talent unused in that Vince Dooley offense to score 50 a game. Facts

Chuck dowdo is a joke compared to larry he's a joke
