CLIP DESCRIPTION:
A training operation tests a Rainbow Six operative's (Domingo Chavez) skills. The sniper manages to best them without being detected.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
This is the third film based on Tom Clancy's high-tech espionage potboilers starring CIA deputy director Jack Ryan. Harrison Ford, returning to the Ryan role after his first go-round in 1992's Patriot Games, is assigned to a delicate anti-drug investigation after a close friend of the President (a Reaganesque Donald Moffat) is murdered by a Colombian drug cartel. When Ryan discovers that the President's wealthy friend was in league with the cartel, the President's devious national security adviser (Harris Yulin) and an ambitious CIA deputy director (Henry Czerny) send a secret paramilitary force into Colombia to wipe out the drug lords. The force is captured and then abandoned by the President's lackeys. It falls to Ryan to enter Colombia and rescue them, aided only by a renegade operative named Clark (Willem Dafoe), with both his life and career on the line.

Everyone talking about the sniper being sneaky, but no one talking bout the uber eats guy coming in delivering the food and leaving without a trace.
I take it you are unfamiliar with Ninja Burger®
Uber paid good money back in 94, and gas was much cheaper
Correction..... the uber eats guy came and left without a trace and realized he picked up the wrong order from Mcdonald's then ...
Went back to get the right order
McDonald's remade it because it got cold
and he returned and entered the line of fire and took payment and left without a trace
LOL
After sniper training Uber sent him a survey to fill out
What if the uber eats guy was the actual one firing the shots.
@@theunpaidprofessional
But he wasn't....
Uber guys are not issued firearms
HE WAS THE SPOTTER
LOL
“You know, I’m something of a sniper myself.”
He is. That what makes it awesome
Lol, I was waiting for someone to say that

I want to see the realistic version where the sergeant major and captain are both like "okay why in the hell are you yelling at us? This is not boot camp calm the hell down...."
and where you can hear the gunshots
Yeah, and the gunshot.
@@spanningbread suppressors don’t silence gun shots, but they make it’s so that your enemy doesn’t know where you are shooting from
@@saltypotatoaim715... No. They make shots quieter, so that hearing protection may not be needed, but they still make a distinct sound and can be just as easily located within earshot.
@@Guitardrumr yes, but from farther distances, and I also heard this in another video of veterans talking about suppressors, they said that the enemy had a very hard time locating where the shots came from when they were using suppressors
For everyone that might be into Tom Clancy lore, the sniper (Raymond Cruz) is Domingo “Ding” Chavez and Willem Dafoe is John Clark, they are among the founding members of Rainbow Six.
"Ding" was my favorite "new guy" in the series.
To clarify one step further, John Clark is "Rainbow Six" as in, he is number six. While he heads the organization known as Rainbow, his number is just a misdirection to cause confusion in the same way that Seal Team 6 was named even though there weren't currently 6 teams.
Heh but will he be added to the operator roster? 🤔
Except Ding wasn’t a sniper in the book.
@@FS2K4Pilot no, in the book he was part of an off-the-books fire team made up of Latin-American army NCO’s.
I’d really like to see a Ryanverse film that’s actually close to the source material.
"Quarterpounder ... with Cheese" :-D Everytime I hear this line I get remembered to that scene from Pulp Fiction.
"You know what they call a Quarter Pounder with Cheese in Paris?"

I love how hollywood knows nothing about guns. Nobody is going to stand meters to the side of a steel target being fired at with rifle rounds.
The dude just happened to have a quarter pounder with cheese on him during training. I'm pretty sure they weren't going for accuracy here my man.
Read the book if you like it when a story gets the military details right
@Ghost Reaper Gaming It doesn't look like a 50 caliber bud, to me it looks like an M24 or something in the M40 series. It's probably chambered in 7.62/30.06.
With that close they gonna heard the gun silencer too
After last shot we hear someone say that's 4, so 1 shot is of camera, they don't hear the first shot we see but hear second, one comments, that's close, so they hear it third shot the test is over
The legend of Ding Chavez is born here. Seriously wish a Rainbow Six film would get made one day with Clark and Chavez kicking ass again.
Gosh. There is so much Clancy lore that would make badass films.
Doom Guy Agreed. Wish Hollywood would get off the Jack Ryan jock already and make Clancy's other books into films instead, like Without Remorse and Rainbow Six for example. Both are perfect for kick ass action movies.
alucard624 Dude. I've hoped for a Without Remorse movie forever. Hopefully they do it someday.
+alucard624 Wish a game was made besides the atrocity that is Rainbow six siege.
eblb1ful2 I don't think it's a bad game. Didn't have any Clancy characters that I can think of, but it plays well.
Damn, Agent Coulson, Norman Osborne, Martin Querns and Tuco Salamanca in one scene. Geek mind blown.
+Ninemmfan Holy crap! I always knew I recognized Tuco.
So this is where he was before SHIELD.
so after tuco was discharged in the military he became a druglord? damnnnn! no wonder he was a mess up shit.
Don't forget Norman Wilson.
You mean before he went to drugs. At least get them in order
That scene was too funny, "by being a sneaky bastard sir!" Lol
"YES SIR!"
SGM ask the question, and he responded by addressing him by sir 🤪
The SGM is called "SGM". The Captain is called "sir". 😁
Snake would be proud of how sneaky he is lol
(Snake from metal gear, obviously)
Met Raymond Cruz, who played the sniper in this film. Came into the museum I used to work in with his little child. Told him I admired his work, got a smile and a handshake, then I left him alone. Nice guy.
That's the stuff of dreams mate, love it :)

@@fieldmarshalbaltimore1329 i know its intentional... But it still irks me when someone calls it a silencer
@@TheMakushimirian I know, you good. I was just mocking people who know nothing about silencers lol
It's call an silencer.
@ they market it as a silencer, so what is the point of you being a know it all, it would only make sense to make this comment if a person had no idea how it works, it suppresses the sound. A suppressed 22lr subsonic is the only one that's almost hollywood quality "silent".
It's a shame Tuco turned to a life of crime after this.
He was disillusioned with serving a corrupt government that threw away its own soldiers lives and treated other countries like playthings. So he decided to cash in on the fun lmao
That shot was TIGHT, TIGHT, TIGHT...
wenaldy dance a make her dance, - to the rear harch !

Quarter Pounder shot with ketchup
😎😏🇸🇾
Except that in the book, Chavez wasn't a sniper. Rather, he was a skirmisher with a silenced MP5.
True, but at least he was in the movie finally in some form or another. Why the hell hasn't Hollywood gotten around to making a Rainbow Six movie yet?
Andrew Martin he uses the mp5 later on though in the film lol
They did. It was called "Kingsmen"
You're wrong. In the books Chavez was a sniper, read Operation Rainbow.
silenced weapons are not silent
Now if only someone would do Tom Clancy proud and make a movie that is 100% based off the book with less than 10% alterations to it in script, that would be awesome!
Spartan536 If they did, it would have to be a TV miniseries if done properly, as his books tend to be very long and chock full of details that a 2 hour film just couldn't do justice to. Patriot Games the film was pretty close to the book, but Clear and Present Danger the film cut out a LOT of the book and made quite a few changes to characters and story moments that I didn't really like much.
@@alucard624 Yeah, way to many point of view characters for a movie. A 10h+ miniseries would be a must. CAPD is still in my top 3 favorite movies.
Right?
yeah but can we get HBO, NFLX, or Prime to pick up a rendition of "Without Remorse?"
It would be great except the majority wouldn't like 80% of the film watching people guessing what each other or discussing tactics.
"Quarter pounder with cheese"
"Damn... one hell of a lunch" 😅

From sniper to drug lord. Tuco sure had a wonderful journey
This remains one of my favorite scenes, even though it's completely unrealistic.
They didn’t look after him in the military he returned with severe ptsd and became a unhinged drug lord
*I know hank killed Tuco but Walter/Jesse is the only reason tuco was tracked down by hank so basically it’s walts fault.*
Raymond Cruz is a legend! This scene gives me goosebumps.
That ain't a quarter pounder wrap. It's just a cheese burger wrapper
Maybe they ran out of the regular wrappers that day.
Or he ate half the wrapper to hide the burger's true identity.
***** Either way, Chavez is being a sneaky bastard.
Inaccurate military movie- 3/10 Rotten Tomatoes
***** LOL
the target being so close to the observers the lead would have gone everywhere and given the observers some nice little shrapnel as gifts, also no sniper can eat while out in the field shooting at targets even a USMC sniper. and last but not least no weapon no matter how big the suppressor doesn't sound like a mouse fart when fired
let me introduce you to the welrod, or any subsonic manual action firearm
Did you forget this was a fictional movie?
After all that do you know the fine for littering lol
Pretty sure the guy was being sarcastic about the wrapper and that it just blew in from somewhere. You're right about the steel target. Those observers in line with and just a few yards from that target are asking to get their eyes put out or worse. Not to mention that the the sniper would have to be aiming very close to them period, regardless of what the target was made of. He wouldn't have to be off by much to just flat out shoot one of them.
Gotta say, that's exactly how I pictured Ding in the books.
in real life you wouldnt ever be able to be that close and the guys not hear the shot😂
Don't bet your life on that "Demofact"!

He also played Detective Julio Chavez on The Closer/Major Crimes...

Tuco really had his life going great. Poor guy, drugs is really a hell of a destroyer. 😢
Not everyone knew Tuco Salamanca can shoot that good
I loved this movie as a kid watching it with my pops.
hell yeah the future team leader of Rainbow Six...
He is Rainbow Six, the team is Rainbow Team
rainbow six is a multi nacional counter terrorism unit
dion woollaston no Rainbow is. Rainbow six is a very specific person.
@No Name maybe
_Six_ is the commander of Rainbow. Rainbow Six is a title and codename. Rainbow is an organization.
I cant explain the epicness of this scene
The silencer doesn't completely reduce the sound it just covers enough of it for there to be no flash or echoing noise.
The ' phew ' sound still can be heard.
Got the impression it was an air-rifle for wargames
As someone who hasn’t seen this movie, I’m assuming he failed for littering.
I love how 30 years the same situation would be completly reversed and thermal optics would make it almost impossible to stay undetected

This movie is just one aspect of the Tom Clancy cinematic/video game/book universe
When watching this movie for the first time, didn't think too much of it when I heard Clark's name-till I heard Chavez's name. Then it clicked...Rainbow 6. And Chavez's sniping is 100 in the original game. And a Butler Creek scope cover...I love it.
I love how they are all amazed but they probably had to do it themselfs
Officer - I never saw you in stealth training.
sergeant - thankyou sir.
When after his discharge from SF, he "Broke Bad" and became Tuco!!
Before he joined he was a Vato Loco
I'm guessing the fact this involves a sniper is why they're allowing the firing of a live weapon in the direction of the observers?
90s bro. Everything is real
They actually do, but target is farther away and the would-be sniper has to read a two digits code from observer's truck afterwards, without being spotted. To show he has clear line of sight to the observers.
Those observers would be getting fragged BIG time.

In the OG video game, I'd put Ding on his own team and play as him, leaving everyone else standing at the drop zone, and never went in without the suppressed MP5... Ding and I been through so much together, lol!
Thus the birth of Rainbow Six begins here.....
