They are silly expensive unfortunately. I think the c800 is a great spectrometer. If you don’t need color, a regular light meter will be just fine

Not a cheap tool but worth it. I've used mine to profile my lights. Without this tool you are guessing, at best, for the right filters. Surprising how many LED lights have NO Red #9.

yeah, not cheap at all, but so valuable. Yeah, I agree. Running around measuring random lights and red are often lacking. Do you know why?
