Yeah that was a seriously skillful getaway. What I can't believe is that just prior to it the hunter didn't pull the trigger when he got out and pointed - he HAD to have seen the health bar over Alex, and it looked like he pointed that gun for several seconds before Alex moved - I was sure Alex was going to get shot in the head there. Also - how the heck did they make the Schafter? I don't see anything that could have clued them in to it, but it seems like they suddenly all knew it was Alex. Weird. But what a great getaway!

I was NOT expecting a train escape to be used so soon after it was first conceived just last month... Bravo Alex! And thank you everyone, brilliant show this month!!
a twist on the "escape the city" part that might make it interesting: instead of having a teammate start with the means of escape and calling them into a somewhat predetermined location, have them start as a passenger in your car. you drive into the city with the normal two minute head start, and your teammate has to go find a means of escaping the city while you blow up pris. then you have to coordinate the escape via the in game texting. so you'd ride into the city, both swap into incognito cars, then go your separate ways. once impega has an escape option they can text you "boat/helo/plane" and you can reply with a location. to add a layer of difficulty to the escape, it could be that Alex has to board the escape vehicle within the Los Santos city limits. jump in a boat impega snuck into the canals and bolt out to sea, jump in a helo impega lands on the roof of a carpark, etc. there could be a built in twist if the hunters manage to kill the escape driver, like the new endgame for Alex is he needs to blow up ALL the pris in 10 minutes to guarantee a quick chaotic end to the episode.
*BREAKING NEWS!* Assault and Car-bombing Near the Last Train! 26-year-old Hercules Grytpype-Thyme II, junior partner of the legal firm Argue & Phibbs, was the victim of an unprovoked assault near the Last Train restaurant in Los Santos today. This is the best episode, nice car, we got to see how the hunters check cars (ewan moment), legendary escape juking trucks and good cars with expert maneuverability, t r a i n, successful heavy chopper escape. chef's* kiss, Alex.
I've haven't watched a survive the hunt since number 13, I'm so happy to find that not only are you still going, but that you're continuing to spice things up, to try different things and that folk are still watching. It seems to be your most popular type of video by far, helps that you can drive like a beast!
Alex, man, you gotta live a little. You were actually stopped at a red light, right by a Pri. You already needed to swap cars anyway. There were countless alleys right there (even a car park not too far away at all), all within visual range of the Pri. You could have planted the bomb easy, rolled near (but not right next to) an alley, hopped out and camped behind a dumpster, blown the Pri, waited for the dust to clear and then grab a new car and hightail out of town. Taking the 4th Pri would have absolutely surprised everyone and completely thrown them off of your usual tactics, ergo they would likely have never even thought you'd be hanging in an alley right by that Pri.
my favorite bit was you spinning your car around and launching that lady off motorway ramp, and then you had the best getaway and used the train!!!! absolutely stunning
Hands down the best series on YT to date, and keeps getting better with every episode! One thing i'd like to see is a "speedrun" of STH, where you have a fast and durable car with bulletproof tires, and you just blast through the city blowing up Priis and running away as fast as you can. Maybe not the best for an assisted escape (boat/plane/heli), but have a goal of blowing up all Priis for a win, or something like that..?
whoo, Alex is quite a pro at this now. every action has calculations informing it. for a time in this series, it looked like the hunters were becoming unsurvivably-adept - but the hunted party's upped his game.
I'm not sure if its been tested/anyone owns them, but using the big Russian cargo plane (Bombbushka?) or the Submarine would be a really cool exit vehicle
Alex might just have the best openin lines ever.. Imagine him with a girl.. "Hello and welcome to the show! We are here today, on my bed, messing around, trying to figure out what the bloody hell we were supposed to do.." :p
I'll be honest, seeing Dangerman fly over stab city in the blimp right at the end, had me on the edge of my chair :D can't believe you didn't notice :D
Yess, another survive the hunt is here!! I love these, but I have a suggestion. Could you maybe put a map with all the prius in the video? Just for a few seconds at the beginning while you are running away, would be much appreciated :)
Hands down, STH is the thing I look most forward to on YT! And this one was a banger! I think it might be second only to the last one, which was epic. Or maybe tied for 1st place with last month's. lol!
~littlest hobo theme plays~ The heli escape worked pretty nice! That one looks a bit fast, I'm wondering if a smaller one might work better? So the hunters have more of a chance to see it coming and do a mad scramble to get to the pickup (well everyone besides the stealth blimp)
Out of all the bazillion videos on UA-cam, I genuinely look forward to survive the hunt videos the most. Please never get bored of making them because we never get bored of watching them!!!
no one else is suspicious about how consistently that Hellion was "bumping into" alex ? every time i watch these STH episodes there are several points where im certain a hunter has sneaked a look at the map.
There is always a “edge of the seat” suspense with these videos, which is great, but anyone who walks in my room gives me a look, and walks off. These are funny, invigorating and suspenseful. Thank you Fail Race, for curing all boredom in my soul.
Awesome to see the helicopter suggestion used! Definitely made the moments after the 3rd Pris more suspenseful than the boat escapes. Also, with how quickly you got away with the Schafter, this felt very much like an incognito escape.
@23:30 I am surprised that he always holds for so long. I don't remember an episode where the hunters don't decide to pull their guns at a car they have been searching and harrasing for so long.
My favorite STHs tend to be the ones where Alex is cursed: can’t catch a break, tripped up by random nonsense, stressed the entire episode. In this episode, Alex was blessed, calm, caught every break, and it was hugely enjoyable to watch. I was hoping he’d do a long distance explosion of the 4th Pri just to cause confusion or sticky bomb the blimp, but he didn’t need to. It seemed like he could have jumped on a bicycle halfway through and would have succeeded regardless. Expert level survival.
Yup! I was thinking that if Alex had seen trouble near Stab City, he could possibly just keep going and loop up to the tunnel that exits near the mill by Paleto and sneak over to the construction site evac location. Or keep going to Grapeseed and hit the farm. Really, picking Stab City gave him a lot of outs if it didn't work out there.
My friends and I play a similar game where we steal cop cars, and the group of us in cop cars search for a 'wanted' player who has to pretend to be an NPC. No maps or HUD allowed so calling for backup requires memorization of the map. Amazing how similar your game is. We're gonna steal this idea and see if we can make a small scale version of it work since we don't have enough people to do this exactly. Absolutely LOVE that you have air support helping your ground units
In terms of vehicle spawns. I did a test the other day and I personally found that medium range vehicles like Zions, Sentinels and Sabres can spawn quite frequently in the desert area. If Alex had driven a super car such as an Infernus, Bullet or another high end vehicle, the chance of them spawning there drops considerably so the Zion was actually a great call.
Perhaps one time and one time only. From the viewers standpoint; very very boring. Both Alex and every single person watching can, while he's just sitting in the vehicle get up for minutes and brew themselves a cup of tea. From a gameplay POV; great idea, but once you consider he's also trying to make something of entertainment value folks would watch the whole way through, not so much.

This is the best episode, nice car, we got to see how the hunters check cars (ewan moment), legendary escape juking trucks and good cars with expert maneuverability, t r a i n, successful heavy chopper escape. chef's* kiss, Alex.
I think you mean "chef's kiss". I could be wrong, maybe you just have the hots for Alex.
@@Marrrrtin I'm gonna be honest I didn't even catch that but yes, chef's kiss
How is this not subtitled “The Freight Escape”??? That was seriously too perfect 😂
I've haven't watched a survive the hunt since number 13, I'm so happy to find that not only are you still going, but that you're continuing to spice things up, to try different things and that folk are still watching. It seems to be your most popular type of video by far, helps that you can drive like a beast!
That was the most brilliant STH I think you've ever played. I can't believe so much went so well for you Alex. Can't wait to see the discussion video
I look forward to this every month more than I do payday 😂
24:00 This was the most elegant getaway in the history of getaways. Brilliant job
21:16 He's "drawing a circle around you" with his car until he gets enough hunters to block you in! Smart move!
This has gotta be up there as one of the most legendary Survive The Hunts yet! So many glorious shenanigans and such brilliant luck.
whoo, Alex is quite a pro at this now. every action has calculations informing it. for a time in this series, it looked like the hunters were becoming unsurvivably-adept - but the hunted party's upped his game.
I'm not sure if its been tested/anyone owns them, but using the big Russian cargo plane (Bombbushka?) or the Submarine would be a really cool exit vehicle
That had some epic “movie moment” stuff in there! That train tho! Great vid!
This episode had everything, from holding out as an A.I when being hussled at traffic lights, to a train escape.
It also had that 1 guy who was clearly looking at his map cheating, there’s always going to be 1 I guess
Props to that train escape. I know it was lucky timing but damn.
The way he got to the train was the genius part
Or maybe tied for 1st place with last month's. lol!
"I dont know where the chopper will turn up at"
Heli lands
Oh! There it is.
Blimp Lands
"BLIMP!?!?!"
Blimp pilot gets out and gets crushed by his own blimp
~littlest hobo theme plays~
The heli escape worked pretty nice! That one looks a bit fast, I'm wondering if a smaller one might work better? So the hunters have more of a chance to see it coming and do a mad scramble to get to the pickup (well everyone besides the stealth blimp)
The escape at 23:20 was epic.
Out of all the bazillion videos on UA-cam, I genuinely look forward to survive the hunt videos the most. Please never get bored of making them because we never get bored of watching them!!!
Congrats on a successful StH Alex, I have to say I was impressed by the slip you gave them with the stairs then the train.
Hilarious carpark sleuthing, amazingly quick getaway with a train, perfect car swap at just the right time, and a stealth escape! Great Episode!
Have you done a Halloween themed StH? YOU should!
no one else is suspicious about how consistently that Hellion was "bumping into" alex ?
every time i watch these STH episodes there are several points where im certain a hunter has sneaked a look at the map.
That moment in the car park with the freaked our AI in a suit was absolutley golden lol. I love these episodes so much, pure comedy and entertainment
We need a City vs Alex episode. All the hunters must drive city vehicles (bus, police cars, ambulance, fire engine, garbage truck, etc.).
They kind of do that anyway? All the hunter vehicles are regular traffic vehicles, except for the blimp.
All of the recent STH have been amazing, and #39 did not dissapoint. I could see this as a Hollywood movie.
Hey, this was the best birthday gift in a long time! so awesome
Happy Birthday!
"Ooh I can fire my hmg from the side of this." cue Ride of the Valkyries
That escape in the Schafter then onto a train was great!
There is always a “edge of the seat” suspense with these videos, which is great, but anyone who walks in my room gives me a look, and walks off. These are funny, invigorating and suspenseful. Thank you Fail Race, for curing all boredom in my soul.
Super sneaky escape, train riding and the parking lot shenanigans. Great episode!
this is by far my most fave series on fail race.. this one was brilliant.. the train ride outta nowhere!!
Love these videos, 13minutes onwards in the car park was bloody hilarious
Awesome to see the helicopter suggestion used! Definitely made the moments after the 3rd Pris more suspenseful than the boat escapes. Also, with how quickly you got away with the Schafter, this felt very much like an incognito escape.
Your content never fails to make me laugh. The shenanigans in this were just what I needed on my miserable Friday.
Ah, man. I had one of those days, too. This was a much appreciated break from the stresses of our lives
I bet you had a miserable Friday because it's 2020's decade. Virus are made people miserable and even make them wish it's 2000's or 2010's again.
22:40 Bro you were definitely getting boxed in! I woulda been outta there quick
That initial escape early on WAS Mission Impossible beautiful! 👏👏👏👏👏
13:54 at this point you should have, confuse them more by getting out of the car and blowing the the pri.
@23:30 I am surprised that he always holds for so long. I don't remember an episode where the hunters don't decide to pull their guns at a car they have been searching and harrasing for so long.
3:48 "We gotta change it up from time to time" Alex said as he wore the same outfit that he used in the last STH.
That one with the Shafter was the ultimate getaway!
Unfortunately sticky bombs despawn after you go some distance away from them so a long distance explosion isn't possible.
One of the best episodes so far! Very cool. Especially the first quick escape in the schafter/train :D
That was one of the greatest survives yet! Never really caught except for the train escape.
This beautiful gift that has just fallen in my lap! Thank You Alex!
Thank you guys for your work. Survive the Hunt series is really my favourite way to start a month
44:08 That's Stabcity! Also, great concept for the hunt, would love to see more!
Halfway in, and I’m thinking this might be the best episode ever.

Fail Race advice no. 391:
"If things go south, go north!" 😝
BIg balls move would have been to steal the Pink Prii from the Chinese monument and used it as the get away vehicle.
Man, I absolutely *love* Survive The Hunt! Thanks for another awesome vid FailRace!
In terms of vehicle spawns. I did a test the other day and I personally found that medium range vehicles like Zions, Sentinels and Sabres can spawn quite frequently in the desert area.
If Alex had driven a super car such as an Infernus, Bullet or another high end vehicle, the chance of them spawning there drops considerably so the Zion was actually a great call.
honestly knowing areas like that one where you went around the building before jumping on a train is so entertaining and useful for these
just thinking, have you ever just stayed in a car park when exploding a 'pri', I wonder how fun that would be
Perhaps one time and one time only.
@@David-qi1ys there would be tension though, and Alex would be talking non-stop during the whole thing anyway
This man made watching a 20minute drive to sandy shores enjoyable
I hate how quickly I am sucked into this after only hearing it mentioned casually on Reddit. This makes me actually want to play GTA.
I'm REALLY looking forward to the hunter chat for this one
Hahaha, the part at 12:50 and a few minutes on was absolutely fantastic.
Stoked you managed to hop that train. What great timing after a super stealth getaway!
very fun one! You can add some kind of new mission to finish every game, that heli scape was fun!!!
