Don't know if you know this or not, but when blending into the environment, you should slow to a semi stop about 2.5 meters from the light and creep up slowly. Watch the AI cars, it's what they do. This will also have the advantage of getting the AI cars to slot back into the lane behind you instead of coming alongside. Also, and I cannot stress this enough, change your clothes.
They also don't stop when turning right on red, unless there is another car in the way.
Yet again great and obvious ideas are mentioned but they just don't get noticed at all. Real shame since it's been so many eps by now.
Does this stop the AI from trying to go around you?
Don't get it, you made it out of the city like you said. Where were you supposed to make it to?
If Alex forgets his helmet again I think it should be added to the list of things he had to do within the 24 hours. 3 Priis and buy a proper helmet! Can't wait to see the Laddo perspective on this one.

The ultimate hunter power move would be to locate Alex without him realizing that you knew, get a whole bunch of hunters to pose as traffic and work their way around him, and then do increasingly weird stuff in tandem to see what you could fool Alex into going along with.
I wish I could remember what episode it was but someone did pose as an AI and followed Alex around until the other hunters showed up
There was a STH where 2 hunters put themselves in front of Alex and made the same janky maneuver in the same spot and fooled him into doing it as well
I've wondered if Alex could fake being an AI at an intersection by "passing like an AI" at a red light. It'd be risky, but it could divert their attention.
Yeah like when an AI tries to overtake him on a right turn lane
He's done that sort of thing before successfully - squeezing alongside a Hunter firetruck at the lights.

I would love to see it pulled off, but the issue is, that if the hunters recognise they are hunting an AI quick enogh, unless they forget what car did the overtaking, Alex is gonna be in loads of trouble. Also, I'm afraid it won't work if he's already sus to the hunters - it could work if he was not sus, or if it was unclear, but doing it while not being suspected is a pointless risk and for the latter, it is also dificult to judge whether they are onto him, so he could just worsen the situation for himself, but who knows, it could be worth a try.
Guess we will have to wait and see if it is attempted in future STH :D

Hey Alex. Remember with STH #40 the pink Pris were replaced with Halloween themed Pantos? I was thinking that for the Christmas/New Years special you could replace the Pris with the Vapid Clique.
The Clique has a Christmas themed livery with a bow tie on the roof making it a nice "present" to blow up. See if some filming crew members have it since it was given out for free on Christmas Day 2018 as well as the Christmas livery.

That livery is only available if you got it for free when it originally dropped. I don't think everyone has it

It's like his brain resets to a specific point every month, or just after the race, so it's as if he's never done it.
You can also hear it in his commentary, it's much of the same everytime and he mentions it as if it never has been brought up before.
He also does the same mistakes over and over.
He rode a Sanchez dirt bike in a really early sth
@@Masterfighterx I love Alex and I've been watching for 8 years, but he can frustrate me no end by making the same mistakes over and over. The one that annoys me the most is how he can forget the map for a game that he's been playing almost nonstop since 2013. Also that and how he would notice more things going on in the background if he just turned the damn volume up!!

I paused at 37:19 to say this: after watching so many races and every single STH... there is no one, and I mean no one...I would rather have driving that get away van than the human wrecking ball that is the Laddosaurus. Now... back to the action. Well done, lads. Great show.

Good idea with the time limit. I felt a couple of the recent STH's, while still entertaining, had lost some... immediacy (if that's the right word). I was kind of starting to miss the old manic Survive the Hunts. It might also still be an idea to occasionally throw in the old 'destroy as many Pris in 24 hours' variant from time to time to mix it up a little bit.

Would definitely add to it if either on STH or DTH adding that map so you can at all times see where the hunters are, or a hunter perspective with a post game added map from a map person monitoring FR
I know it's been done a little on and off in the past, but I think it really is what this series needs. And since it can and has been done I don't really see what the great issue about it really is.

@@jonahfastre Agreed, unless you're lucky finding some really good people (either in real life or if you actually just buy the game and roll with it) or already have some, don't really bother with it..
I was the same until I finally decided to get it this year. I can understand if people have been playing it for 7 years then they might be a bit bored of it, but as a new player there's plenty to do. I didn't know anyone that played it but I met people online who I regularly game with now.

To me, this seems like a "fair" Survive the Hunt ruleset. You have the advantage through most of the episode (blowing up Pris), but they may have the advantage in the escape.
Yeah, I loved both the 24 hour time limit for the pris and the chase out of the town.
Come to think of it, Alex has a higher incentive now to try to cap a hunter or two, as that'll mean fewer enemies to deal with in the final chase.
i kept going ahead to set up roadblocks but it's surprisingly difficult to get tyres at that speed. did get some good shots on alex at 41:15 tho

A tip for the radio issues is to go to the Interaction menu and deselect all the radio stations in the 'Favourites' section or words to that effect. It will remove the radio stations from your radio.
That has been mentioned so many times but it seems the comments are not just written...
I like how the police at the end did a better job forcing Alex out of the truck than all the hunters did. Never seen them that competent before Lol.

We really should have a STH bingo card!! I was just thinking of that myself. I wasn't able to fill my _"Let's take a left here" _*_*turns right*_* bingo card this time, but it was a great STH!

This was just perfect despite the ending. I was convinced Alex was going to make it with how many people he managed to get rid of! Maybe there will be a next time for another movie-esque escape.

In the end it was a spectacular but unplanned collaboration between the cops and one Stevie that did him in. The Cop’s shooting forced him out of the truck and then he got blown away by Stevie who was in the right place to do it. Really cool ending tbh. An escape would be better, but it was overall good anyway. Ngl most useful cops I’ve seen in a while in survive the hunt.
I think the best way to get the Pri at the dock, is to go to the furthest Pri first, then double back towards the Pri at the dock and then that gives you plenty of time to escape the dock and go for the last Pri of your choice. I would love to see Alex try that strat at least once.
I've always wanted him to hide right outside the dock, wait for the hunters to disperse, the blow the pri.
@@stargate525 I also thought the same thing, it would be a bit sneaky and the Hunters would never expect it. However, once he's done that, the Hunters may end up leaving 1 or 2 behind to patrol the area and to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Judging solely by the chaos at the docks at the beginning of the STH's, it's kind of a wonder the hunters ever win.

I would also love to see a STH where there's no time limit, but Alex/Casino Royale had to blow up _all_ the pries (and escape the hunters/escape from the explosions unseen) to win.
Can't wait to see the discussion for this one, I'd love to hear the audio of the hunters when you got to the truck, that was intense :)

Haha what you are forgetting is Alex was in a mule... so "fast" is eh yeah not a word that should describe that chase haha, let's say the sandking is sprightly.... compared to a mule haha.

Stevie's a little cheeky with the taking 20 shots to the chest while taking no damage at all haha. And he happens to be the one who survived the chaos and shot you? Riiiiiiiight. Cheeky Stevie rides again!
For future reference... Not sure if you ever considered this but in the US, with being able to turn right on red, courteous drivers that aren't taking a right will stay left. Haven't really researched the GTA AI but, I feel I've seen you being trapped by the hunters from the left many times.
I absolutely LOVE this new end game goal. It was extremely cinematic and hilarious to see all of the bois freaking out from your pot shots.
Wish survive the hunt was a weekly thing. I absolutely love it.
One day they should absolutely all try to never leave the docks and watch him freak out on his own for an hour. :D
This is probably my favourite Survive The Hunt out of all the ones I've watched. Using the truck for the getaway was genius.

Should do an assassination version, instead of killing 3 pris, you should assassinate 4 players, 3 chilling out and 1 blending in with traffic so it's basically survive the hunt as well as hunt the survivors in one video
One of these days Alex should just get himself a pair of blue coveralls and drive around in an ambulance in the STH since the hunters love blasting sirens all the time.
I love it when Alex is talking so much he completely misses random explosions.
The escape in the back of a truck was excellent! I'd happily see this one again.
Hilarious ending. It's like a singleplayer, on-rails or turret sequence we see in an FPS game where we play this very kind of thing.

Damn, that was a brilliant finale. Hope we get to see Laddo's footage too as that would have been epic.

This was awesome, the ending turned into an on rails shooter section in GTA 5. Surprisingly cinematic! And good idea to only use the pistol, made it much more intense than if you destroyed all of them with a LMG.
I don’t know if it’s on purpose or not but I love the outro/ending theme music… it has a sort of “Jessica” from Top Gear vibe to it. I can’t get enough of these “Survive the Hunt” episodes, I can’t wait to see the content you guys come up with when GTA: VI releases. Keep up with the amazing work and great times you all provide. @@thewordywarlock7159 Yup, that. Both Alex and Laddo turn that on, drop the wanted level, laugh as the cops loose interest and target everyone else. I mean, understandable not to think of it when standing in a box truck getting shot at by the world and - let's not forget.- relying on Laddo as your getaway driver but still...
You should do one where you and the hunters have some power ups you get to use e.g. you get to shoot from your car for 30 secs, theirs would be stuff like you have to honk your horn 3 times or force a car change in the next minute (cancelled by a chase)
That would be a variation to the taskmaster variant.

STH challenge, I'm convinced the hunters don't look at the lights, so to prove it Alex has to run EVERY red light when he's the first car in queue.

I was cheering you on to shoot down the blimp after you got out of your car. Even if the hunters came after you, you had the car as an option to get away.
Doing so with the sniper rifle would have been great. Rocket is obvious, but even if you miss with the sniper, they probably won't know where it came from.

would be interesting if you experimented with fewer/more vehicles to blow up, if you had fewer their response time would be more challenging
I only just stumbled on the series so I don't know if you've done this before. But the "Destroy as many Pris as you can" type could have a rule where for each pri you blow up, you have one less hour to survive. But if you kill a hunter you get a penalty of one hour added

Really hoping we'll see more of those in the future. Because it is very difficult, so having that every time might be unfair for the escapy Alex. But it's definitely very amusing

I love that right out of the gate we basically see AI vs hunter antics and it doesn't ever stop
That was entertaining at the end. The rest was good too! I don't mind having these going in the background, but I was full attention when then end came.

What a finish. Definitely should’ve had a go at the blimp and get bullet proof tyres on the truck. Cops turn a blind eye would’ve been helpful too. Hope we get to see another like this!
I've got an ending suggestion.. How about you have to get an aircraft (from anywhere) and get to the top of maze Bank which is your finish line. But the hunters can all get aircraft at that point too. End up in an air chase

full epp on you trying to landmine and prox the streets would be fun
or laying sticky bombs on the rd then rpging the pree then waiting for them to show up
Hell of a final boss battle. I like that format.
Traffic was madness....it mostly looked like left turning vehicles were confused on who had the right away and kept cutting off traffic going straight. Was weird.
This had biig classic car heist vibes with the sneaking to the race track!
The last 10 minutes of this,us the best STH moment ever and second isn't even close.
would work well as a dusk til dawn setting, have only 12 ingame hours to hit 3 pri's. much tighter deadline means you gotta take more risks or do more out of the box thinking to get them done in time without dying

Really happy to see that you've moved out of the city even for a little bit. I know that it would be impossible to pull off, doing STH on the entire map but as much as I've enjoyed your videos, the City really has been overplayed at this point (in my opinion).
I think he mentioned once that he tried doing it in the northern part of the map, but it didn't work that well
@@robinchen5458 Probably because it's not as densly populated and there are less roads so hiding is more difficult... ehh. I understand the concerns and reasons but still... changing the locations from time to time would do something.
@@filipjecz They tried it more than once. As you said, trying to hide in that village up there is near impossible, even without aerial assistance for the hunters. Swapping a car, well, you migth get spotted doing it from the road on the other side, as the buildings aren't as tightly packed as they are in the city.
And getting away from the hunters once they spotted you... better get out of the car and blast them to pieces before they are able to react if you want to have some sort of chance.

@@Timberwolf69 Just to clarify, he talked about STH doing only on the north part of the map or its entirety?
@@filipjecz I know they tested playing in the north of the map. That's where I've got my info from. But I think he mentioned sometimes that covering the entire map would be difficult due to the size of the lobby. The hunters would be spread out so thin that Alex would have to be more than desperately unlucky to run into them.
Absolutely brilliant escape sequence. Need to do it that way again!

The ending was ABSOLUTELY worth it.
That final chase was top notch.
That was a good idea for a challenge for getting out the city. It gives the hunters a real chance to take you out.
