- The power ballad "I Remember You" from the third and final single from Skid Row's 1989 eponymous debut album.
Skid Row opened for Guns N' Roses at Wembley Stadium, London, UK on August 31, 1991.
If you’re here in 2024 make some noise!! ❤ Skid Row

I played pool with Sébastian in 1989 at a bar called The Button South in North Miami Beach he asked me to play an I didn't even know who he was. All the women thought I was his friend. Haha yes I got lucky that night. Thanks brother.

😎 When did you find out who he was?

I said, you just told me he's from skidrow.i thought she ment he's living on the streets. Haha true story. But him and me had such a fun time doing coke and drinking playing pool till 6am. No autotune, or backtracks. Just one guy and a godly voice. The 80s/early 90s were a time of surrealism
But they have put an awful chorus effect on his voice on this song for some reason.
It's not.
It's called reverb dude
Christian Doleac. you must have some amazing reverb. Baz has an amazing voice. Its called Wembley stadium!
I agree Bach has an amazing voice. I'm just saying, in my band my singer uses reverb for an effect and it just sounds like it.
Can't listen to this song without recalling my dear departed fiancée (R.I.P. 2017) Never will be another woman even close to her. And I am okay with that.

Can you imagine what his daily life was like back then? A goddess of a man. Must’ve been a level of fun that few will ever know.
A few know!
Read the reality, he actually was married and struggled with band mates and financially If I recall correctly. But the performance is forever amazing.
You seen him lately? He couldnt get laid by a raccoon eyed 70 year old stripper
One of the most underrated singers in Rock and Roll. The man could hit the highest notes and slay the lowest. This was when Rock was mean and dirty. There was no auto tune and no bullshit..

Ryan Chacanias It's Mark Slaughter
He has the voice yes, but the singing is a bit sloppy on this one. Off key at times.
Robert plant Could for 20+ years. Sammy Hagar could do it for a while too.
One of the best concerts I ever went to. Nine inch nails, Skid Row and then G’n’R at the height of their powers. I was 18, just left school, life was good in 91
I maintain that '91 was the greatest year of all time! Subjective I know but there is a case to be made. Admittedly I was 8 but even looking back...
Just Google albums and films from 90-91. Simply incredible
So basically...18 and life...

It makes me yearn for high school and seeing the smoking hotties walking around in their tight jeans through the school hallways. Chilly Friday night football games. I would have been going into my sophomore year in the fall of 1991. What a time. The big hair band era was creeping toward the ledge. We didn't know it at during the summer of 1991, but within months a song called "Smells Like Teen Spirit" would forever flip the music scene into its head. Also, an album called "Ten" was released at the end of August 1991 to little fan fair. But, within the year the world belonged to Nirvana and Pearl Jam and the big hair bands have never been on top since.
Still watching September 12,2022 thanks man 👍
Seriously one of the greatest power ballads EVER. How Sebastian had vocal cords left after singing like he did is a miracle.
He knew how to belt without pushing too hard. His vocal chords were never in danger.
you hold in your gut and use air from your stomach
Saw him a few years back and his vocals were still amazing. It kills me that this band broke up.
@@alfredooliva5175 I can hold as much air as I can, I'll never have 1/10th of his range.
Probably one of the greatest solos from the 80s.
Tons of great solos from the 80's, but I would put this one in there somewhere.
Yep, felt that one. Played perfectly. Lead vocals slightly flat but still badass.

back when lead singers could actually sing....and he was one of the best
LesPaul1482 he still is pretty dam good definatly not as good as he was in his 20s but still amazing
Yep! I miss those days of partying with my friends, and ALL the HOT CHICKS!
He was trained early on an opera singing so that's probably why his voice is still good. -- He learn to sing from the diaphragm as opposed to screaming in the throat area .
Enough with this "back when" BS. I'm 53,I've seen a lot of kick-ass shows in my life and I'm not done, and there are plenty of performers who can sing their ass off even today. I'm not a huge Greta Van Fleet fan, but you can't deny their vocalist has one hell of a set of pipes.
It's just that rock music isn't trendy these days, it's all about shitty hip hop. But there are still some good rock acts out there.
50 years from now people will see this and say holy hell this band was incredible!
I doubt that. Maybe they will look back on the era and think it was incredible but literally every 80s hair band looks and sounds the same. So no bands really stand out above any of the others.
It's been 30 plus years later and they still SUCK!
@@lobsterboy8148 I think that’s true for the vast majority of hair bands, but Skid Row wasn’t just another hair band. Sebastian Bach had one of the most stunningly incredible voices in all of rock history, and they were quite a bit heavier than most of the hair bands on MTV at the time. Not to mention Bach’s sheer size and his looks. They were the real deal, which is why it’s perfect that they toured with another of the greats, Guns ’N Roses.
I think i never saw a more beautiful man than him..and i am old..

This is perhaps the most majestic power ballad ever written. I tell you, when Sebastian Bach's voice is under control, he shows off his incredible vocal gift that is virtually unmatched in rock history. There are few male singers who have his natural vocal ability and powerful range. I have seen a few live performances on video where he tended to lose discipline and overdo it, getting a bit off key. But when he is on target, he is an incredible singer.
Second best, next to Axl Rose.

Woke up to the sound of pouring rain
The wind would whisper and I'd think of you
And all the tears you cried - they called my name
And when you needed me I came through
Paint a picture of the days gone by
When love went blind and you would make me see
I'd stare a lifetime into your eyes
So that I knew that you were there for me
Time after time you were there for me
Remember yesterday - walking hand in hand
Love letters in the sands - I remember you
And through the sleepless nights, through every endless day
I wanna hear you say, "I remember you."
We spent the summer with the top rolled down
Wished ever after would be like this
You said I love you babe, without a sound
I said I'd give my life for just one kiss
I'd live for your smile and die for your kiss
Remember yesterday - walking hand in hand
Love letters in the sands - I remember you
And through the sleepless nights, through every endless day
I wanna hear you say, "I remember you."
We've had our share of hard times
But that's the price we paid
And through it all we kept the promise that we made
I swear you'll never be lonely
Woke up to the sound of pouring rain
Washed away a dream of you
But nothing else could ever take you away
'Cause you'll always be my dream come true
Oh my darling, I love you
Remember yesterday - walking hand in hand
Love letters in the sands - I remember you
Through the sleepless nights, through every endless day
I wanna hear you say, "I remember you."
