Thats nice. I noticed an immediate result in second gear grabbing with no more hesitation like it did before i put on the Injen Short Ram intake. Very happy with the result.
Thank you man!! And I know, it kind of sucks that everyone only shows the turbo mods :/ that’s why I wanted to bring you guys along with me and my journey!!
i couldnt find your iG. WHAT SHOCKS YOU GOT ON. Just got my self 2017 base model and i want to build it up.where you able to do the intake short rather getting close to the tires
Hey nice job just one question what’s the name of those front hood struts that hood your cars hood up? I have a 2012 base veloster and I got it used and there’s no supports on it like nothings holding it up when I open it what can I search up to order it??
Bradley have you had any issues with your motor going into limp mode? I keep getting a P1326 code. We replaced the knock sensor but it keeps going into limp mode after about 50 miles
Hey I have a 2016 base and I was wonder what type you of suspension you added on for your Lowe’s suspension and did you notice any problems why the handling after
Hey what’s up man! When I had my Veloster I had Airtekk air suspension I didn’t notice any issues with the handling but after some time I had popped my rear bag cause it was rubbing against some part of the body
@@InfiniteGamerXI also do you have a different instagram to follow because I’ve tried to find the one you have post so it’s easier to ask questions if you don’t mind ofc and I can’t find it
Did you have any codes or lights pop up for res+ muffler delete , I have the same car and I lowkey want my car a little louder . But heard not so many promising things is it safe?
I didn’t get any lights on but after about a month I did a full straight pipe and it actually flooded my engine because it was 3.5” straight pipe with 4” blast pipes, I guess the outforce was too much for the engine ? If you do a regular res/muffler delete you’ll be okay. If you do a full straight pipe just stick with 2.5” inch piping and you’ll be fine as well 🙏🏽
I'm just looking to take out the box and put a cone filter on the end...it's necessary to take off that bottom box behind the bumper? Or is just taking out the box and installing cone enough? Besides the box what else needs to come out on a cone install only?
Just so you guys know. 113k developed top and bottom end engine knock. The dealership tells you that oh you need a motor from the same year. This is a lie. I swapped in a 2013 motor myself at gearhead DIY In Warwick. Furthermore hyundai expected 7000$ for a new long block bwahahaha as if I'd ever go through hyundai. I changed my oil regularly at 3,500 mile intervals. Still developed knock. I had my old engine broke. Down by a machine shop and confirmed my pistons measured too short from the factory. Thus leading to extreme pistons wear on one side. That completely wore the coating off and scores the block. Thus once the block was scored it allowed the piston to turn sideways and one side made contact with the exhaust valves on pistion 4. This pistion is also responsible for the extreme amount of blow buy of gas,oil and whatever else. Onto my cams and va valves and just caked them with oil thus making them not close properly. Causing contact with pistion that was sideways. 2 out of 4 pistons scored the block so bad I had to bore out 30+. For an 8000$ car. Go get somthing worth your time and effort.
I have a muffler and resonator delete and no lights are on. However if you delete your cat, you have a high chance of getting a check engine light but there’s ways to fight it. Such as, unplugging the check engine light sensor, or even getting an after market cat back (best option but pretty pricey) and lastly you can delete it but you would need to customize an O2 sensor socket into the tubing if you delete your cat
HendrixPlayz hey thanks for the sub! There should be a specific year reading for intakes some can be used from 13-17 and others are year specific so just do some research and see which one works with your car!
A resonator and muffler delete is not straight pipe lol, do you have a catless downpipe and also deleted converters? If you do then thats a straight pipe if not then its not straight pipe
When I said straight pipe I did use air quotation marks so no need to get all salty 😂 I even said res and muffler delete. But now I do actually have a straight pipe thank you very much 🙏🏽
@@JacksonDutcher honestly no. The Veloster is not a reliable car at all. I had so many issues with it, leaking oil, burning oil, even before I started modding it. I would suggest use that same money to get something like a Toyota or a Honda , used , those are crazy reliable!
I’m debating about the short air intake. I have stock 2013 at 50k miles. Catch can and doing homework on spark plugs as well. How much added hp with short air ram intake?
This is super late but realistically none. I’ve been looking at the short ram or cold air for mine and I’ve found that the stock ones are normally pretty well designed to do their job. The fact that it’s so short doesn’t help anything because it just sucks in hot air form the engine bay. The cold air does it’s job and delivers actually cold air because it’s in the wheel well. On the other hand if you were summer driving on a really hot day the heat from the pavement wouldn’t be helping but realistically it would still be cooler than the engine bay
Rear engine mount bushing replacement with aftermarket (white line or powerflex). Injen Short Ram intake was the most noticeable for me so far. I put new ngk plugs in with new coils but didn't notice any difference until I added the new injen short ram.
Bought a 2016 Veloster with one of these Injen intakes. Sounds like shit. Reminds me of a sucking sound, like a vacuum cleaner with a clogged filter. As soon as I can find a stock setup, that turd is coming out of my engine bay. I don't mind a car with a better exhaust note, but when it sounds like your car has asthma and can't breathe, it's a no-go for me. And as far as HP gains, it ain't worth the $$$.
I’m glad there’s more ppl with the base Veloster that add modded parts!! I have the 2016 base model with a resonator delete Nd magnaflow headers
did it add some type of power on take off

nice ride my man! question,, did you tune your ride after the install? i dont want to tune mine cause of all the ca smog b.s.
I didn’t tune it actually but a few months after my install I reverted it to the short ram intake version vs the cold air intake
