9:30 i would actually recommend iris+sodium. It generally updates faster, and performs better than optifine. It supports most optifine shaders. Only downside is, it doesn't come with the texture pack features, unlike optifine.

In all honesty with the spyglass now just use sodium instead of Optifine. It increases the FPS to a ridiculous degree and now in combination with Iris will also run shaders.
Plus there's a bunch of fabric mods that allow you to use zoom and dynamic lights with sodium, the only reason to use Optifine is that some texture packs only work with Optifine

Mending on my bow for sure. I have a mob farm that produces more arrows I can store anyway, and I don't often need to shoot more than 2 stacks of arrows, so I'd prefer to not go through the trouble of enchanting a new bow.
In late game you will have an ender chest with shulker in it so just need some stack of arrow in a shulker to have a big ammo stock and still it uses only 1 inventory stack

I think grian will build a storage system with shulker box unloading in this season as a surprise, he now understand redstone mechanics well but he might not show it on video because most of his fan base doesn't like redstone grian. He will use redstone supplies from impulse to build an impulse sorting system I suppose.
1:58 I make my mineshafts like that. It takes less time and uses less durability which is nice early game.... and it takes just as much time to go back up as when you do it with a taller ceiling (going down a second time is faster with a taller ceiling though).
On the subject of the Cat disc, i started my first hardcore world, and 25 days in, got the cat disc. This is my first tome getting a natural disc in the game, and the first time surviving over 2 days in a world.
AND, i only use a golden helmet because of the Vanilla Tweaks resource pack with the crown look on it.
Mumbo, if you haven't already offered to build Grian a sorting system for stacks of diamond blocks, I don't know what you're doin mate

Creative mode tip: Never place a monster spawned and forget to place the spawn egg in, after 10000 days of the game, in your auto farm or zombie defence, you’re getting nothing.
And don’t completely destroy a dungeon. It’s a waste of time. JUST FARM IT
Here are reasons that I can think of for doing this
0:17 if you only need one and want to save time (tho I do think no one should do this)
0:44 if you need a potion once and never again, you don't have glass, or you don't have a source of water nearby

Skeleton Spawner + Powdered Snow = Strayfarm for usual Skeleton drops and especially Slowing Arrows. Pretty good in PvP, since a single hit can help massively to secure the kill, since they have more trouble running away. And Infinity does not work with tipped arrows.
That's why you may get Mending on your Bow instead of Infinity.

I always choose mending on my bow, thank you very much. Infinity doesn’t count for special arrows, and I always use spectral, because I have so many from bartering.

Digging straight down not necessarily bad, on my server of co-workers i make small bets on digging straight down while in full gear and inventory. I've only dropped into lava like 3x out of like 50 or so times ive done it. Not saying its a good idea in general but it has paid for a few of my lunches and grian has made some diamonds from it (realistically probably lost diamonds from the ores)
Every single time I make a mineshaft I make sure the ceiling is tall enough… not because it bothers me… but because every time I think about how mumbo would be disappointed and make sure it’s tall enough 😂😂😂
I regret not having my first world anymore... It was 1.7 and I had a panorama apartment with 360° window line and a farm on top. I just had to go down and were at my spawn and I made a railway from spawn to top of the mountain to reach my house easier! Back then high peaks were actually small enough to make them cozy apartments. I want to do the same for my "Join Hermitcraft hopefully one day" so I am actualy looking at seeds right now :D

I choose mending on my bow because I completely maxed it out on enchantments, have an xp farm, and have two villagers who trade me 20 arrows for emeralds. Because I have a huge semi-ajtomatic carrot farm that gives me over 10 stacks of carrots to trade for emeralds each time, it just makes sense.
Since 128 stick can be traded to 64 arrow, you're right
And in late you'll have enderchest with shulker box for arrow stock in case of big adventure

As for the resource pack part, recently I've installed "Bare Bones" which makes minecraft look like the trailer, and I will never use another resource pack unless it only changes sounds or other things like paintings.
I was going to joke and say "whats wrong with any of these?" but as soon as he said mining and banging your head i just gave up instantly. Never do this. Ever. Really.

Dylan Thomas if you get an unbreaking 3 leave 30 enchant you will get only unbreaking 3 not good enchants with it but mumbo got more enchants
@@dylanthomas4994 about a 1/4 of our books are unbreaking, woukd just get it via the book because its so easy to do. Or earsy to bater for via the villagers.
Frost walker is great for when you’re riding your horse over terrain but then come across a river or an ocean, honestly. Just keep an extra pair in the ender chest, boom
