This game also felt like a microcosm of the entire season. Just bad breaks, almosts, and failures. Bregman gets hurt, which puts Dubon at 3B, a position he's capable of, but not super steady at.....and like an inning later commits an error that ends up coming around to score. Then there's the wild pitch in the 8th that moves the runner to third, aaaand of course a bs check swing ground out scores the run on what should've been 2nd and 3rd 2 outs. And finally Trey Cabbage caught the damn ball and then somehow the ball just teleported out of his glove and it's a HR to end the game.......wtf did we even watch today.....

Ffs this was just ridiculous. Pulling Martinez in the 6th was so bizarre. He was doing fine, only runner on was cuz of an error, he didn't pitch yesterday so he wouldn't be overworked, and he'd thrown 15 pitches. Why the actual fuck did Espada pull him? Montero giving up the run is even less damaging than now you've burned an extra reliever for literally NO reason. So then we're stuck with Pressly in the 8th after he threw 25 pitches the night before. Couldve so easily just had Martinez finish the 6th, Montero the 7th, and Abreu the 8th. And no mention of injury to Martinez. . Just completely inexplicable why he pulled Martinez at 15 pitches with 2 outs and a 3 run lead.....
Martinez has been doing great for a while now. Probably better than Montero. What a weird move to pull him.

A few things to talk about here. Dubon is not a good fielder, Presley needs to go, and that fan stripped the ball from Cabbages glove.

As much as I like Hader, why did he make that his splash signing we already had a guy that had 2 rings? and did well in the role. That money could have went to the 300 mill it's going to take to get Teddy Tucker. I just don't understand this club anymore. Bring back Click
