Thank you all so much for watching our very first video on our new channel and for all your love and support 🥰🦚Also, please consider Subscribing to our channel - it's free and will really help us keep the channel going, Gail & Alex xx
Awww, I'm so happy that Brown Shwoo has a new family! It was fascinating watching her journey to motherhood with her little Shwoblings. I'm looking forward to watching the next episode of your new channel. Much love to you both Gail and Alex, from your friend you haven't yet met in North Carolina. ❤🎉
Sad about White Schwoo but so looking forward to Brown Schwoos motherhood! I love Scotland and I have (distant) family there. Clan Carmichael on my Granddads side! I live in North Carolina near Grandfather’s Mountain and have gone to the Scottish Games there several times! It is the closest I will ever be to seeing my “family” and enjoying the feel of Scotland!
It's so nice to know that "FRAGILE" means something somewhere! Here in America, it means "Go out for a long pass, Vern!". I mailed a seashell in an insured box marked "Fragile" and it was broken! Clearly, we need some Scottish mailmen on this side of the Atlantic!😂 This is the most amazing and wonderful video I've seen to date! It's so calming and sweet watching Shrew and her new babies! Thank you for this new favorite channel! More, more, please! I can hardly wait for the next video!
If it was mailed USPS, it's due to the (good) sorting machines deJoy had ripped out just before the 2020 election finally being replaced with not as good machines combined with the deal between Amazon and USPS forcing employees to work Sundays despite their original contract not requiring work on Sundays. So, staffing shortages....
Used to work at UPS. If you put a fragile sticker on your box, at least in the US, it guarantees that it’ll be handled roughly. There have even been studies into it .
Boy are you right! I was upset when I opened a live chick delivery, I was farm sitting for a friend with a giant farm, and found about 40% didn't make the journey. Needless to say, I will drive and pick up live birds, personally, or have eggs mailed...the mailmen are maniacs in the states, you are absolutely correct!
How precious. Thank you for allowing us to be part of shwoos babies growing up. I am a farmers daughter so really looking forward to your new videos. Thanks again.
How freaking cute is this video?!? If she were an American high school student, Alex would have been a star 4-H member, for sure❤ She loves the schwoo family so much - a kind heart will carry her far in life 😊 I’m a mum - I know a beautiful soul when I see one ❤
What a beautiful thing to experience watching these babies hatching. The male has the most lovely blue feathers on his chest. You are such a loving and caring owner of these amazing birds. Thank you for sharing this experience with you. Blessings to all. 🙏🌻🐕🥰🇺🇸🦚
I found that totally enchanting. Mrs Sadad had a little tear at one point, I told her to be brave as Alex wont let it die, Thank you Both. Mrs Saddad is going to subscribe.
As one of your first Patrons, it warms my heart and fills me with joy to see this new channel coming to life. It’s an incredible commitment to bring new stories about the farm to your viewers. Your heart-felt telling of the Shwoos’ story was lovely. I look forward to seeing what your creativity, story-telling ability, attention to detail both visual and sound will bring to all of us in the future. Thank you, Alex and Gail. xx Karen
In answer to your question about the cigar box incubator... I lined the box, inside and out, with tin foil. Taped 2 plastic spoons to the bottom to hold eggs. A Christmas bulb through a hole in the back for heat. Temp regulated by raising or lowering the box lid. I added a cap full of water for moisture and a small thermometer. It worked quite well.
I found myself 😅crying at how lovely the video showing Brown Schwoo''s elation with her chicks and how heartwarming the whole presentation was ❤. Thank you 😊!
Yay! Well done ladies, I am pleased as punch with your decision to share more of your world with us! Thank you, so looking forward to sharing in your adventures with you 🥰
I like your little roof over the nest. Between you and mama shwoo, her babies will be well cared for. Take care and stay safe. Looking forward to more adventures.
Oh Alex how precious, I have 5 Chickens. 4 leghorns and 1 Rhode Island Red. They are all girls. We have 2 Rouen Ducks. Both girls. I've raised them all from tiny babies. I love them all dearly. I love your peafowl. I'm sorry about losing one. Very happy and excited she's a mommy. Thank you so much for sharing. Your kind gentle love to shrew is so touching and is wonderful.
Dear lovely unfeathered and feathered Schwoo mums. 👍👌👏 Extremely well done, gals! How in the world did you manage not to show us the Schwoo family over such a long period of time? Of course you must've hidden the beautiful animals while doing the treasure reviews on the round table. 2) This is such a great video and you all did an amazing job caring about the baby Schwoos. Kudos! 👍👌👏 I simply had to smile during the whole video and I swear, that somebody was peeling onions right behind me additionally. 😁 ;-) I'm very happy to see you all being so happy. Thank you sooo much for making explaining recording editing uploading and sharing your wonderful adventures. Best regards luck and health in particular. To all of you of course (humans and animals). By the way: That cat yawn was epic.
Ahhhhhhh! So nice to see the whole process of the chicks growing up and lovely too that Runtie is possibly going to be white like Shroo you lost. Its so lovely to see them pecking around and was'nt that great with mum Shroo and the babe under her on the fence when she went up for a warm up. Thanks for all your hard work and devotion to Shroo and her chicks and all the filming you have done to share her experience with us. Thanks once again it made my Sunday evening.
Gail and Alex, this was a most wonderful video! Every time I got a glimpse of Brown Shwoo I could not help but think of White Shwoo and her tragic loss. This was a deeply life affirming thing to do and I commend you for that. I’m happy for each member of your family! ❤
Oh I can't begin to tell you how happy this video made me! I was heartbroken about the missing Shwoo, and this video makes it all better! Please keep us informed on the little familie's progress!!! Good job, Alex!!!
I watched RawBeautyKristi's quails hatch. I cried every time one freed themselves. Man, I am a suckered for hatching babies. I loved this video so much. It is relaxing, joyful, and miraculous every time!! The leaves rustling abd all the verdant spring is just such a positive experience!! I can tell I'm going to love your new channel as much as the other two.
How fun! I am looking forward to following your adventures in renovating your home and all that happens along the way! Best of luck with your new channel!!
You have absolutely excelled yourself with this beautiful, soul lifting video Alex!! Watching you and Shwoo nurse the two chicks into this world was very heart warming. A wonderful thing you did, we always felt sad for big Swoo being on her own; now she has company her heart must be singing! That male peacock sure looks feisty and the female peahen colourful remind us of big Swoo’s sister that went missing.
That was absolutely wonderful watching. Though sad about Poor White Shwoo. As for the babies looking in the window of wonders, like their mum....can you blame them. Its full of pretty colours and interesting things. Wow that male Shwoo baby is going to be a very handsome and noisy fellow. Cant wait to see him in full bloom. Shaking his stuff. Little Shwoo, Runty, come on girl, you can do it. What a tryer. A good lust for life pulled her through. With the loving care of you looking after her so well. Poor little munchkin. Not poor any more. Rich as can be, id say. Xx Thanks for sharing Alex. 😊
thankyou Alex for including us in this beautiful journey of life and love. what a wondetrful experience I get to share with my friens on you tube. amazing xxxx
I’m thrilled that brown shwoo has turned out to be wonderful momma and is no longer alone. Your farm is idylic, such a beautiful place to live. Your video was so peaceful and calming. I look forward to many more! Congratulations❤
You mentioned that when you first got the sisters you got them on when they were still in the egg, right? How did you do it hatch them? What is the color of Brown Shu? Gorgeous! Thanks
Oh my gosh! Aren't they just beautiful! Funny story....when I first started watching your channel, idk how long it's been now, I didn't know what those beautiful birds were. I Googled the word schwoo and, of course, nothing. Lol. It took me a minute to realize that white (sadly missed) and brown schwoo are peahens. Thank you for a lovely and fascinating look into your lives....and that of your sweet peafowl. Sneaky about it too. Telling us it was going to be about a house tour. 🤣
I remember when the other shwoo went missing and how sad it was for the other. So happy to hear of the two new family members! She is such a good mommy. So very cute! I didn't know you had this channel and just subscribed. Congrats Alex.
This film was very happy and life fulfilling. It proved to me that patience is a virtue. Finally, the reveal of the name Schwoo and how it came in to being is known.....😂
I remember when White Shwoo was not at the window that first time when you two were doing the round up with your finds. I was really sad to hear about her going missing. It makes my heart happy to see Brown Shwoo with her babies. Just a very special video. Thank you for letting us share this experience with you. ❤
This is a beautiful way to open your new channel. 💚 Brown shwoo might be a good mummy, but I think Alex deserves credit for being a good shwoo granny and looking after wee Runty so well. I love there’s a boy shwoo, he is going to be beautiful. I really hope white shwoo wasn’t harmed by people, in my niece’s village someone has shwoos which roam around. Most are delighted to see them in their gardens and will even feed them, but one or two get pretty mardy about it 😢. Recently, at Normanby Hall, someone deliberately ran down one of the white shwoos. Fortunately it survived and is back with the others. Personally I think they are a lovely sight.
Oh my gosh, that was such a wonderful video!! Alex you did such an amazing job with your shwoo care! Thank you both for doing this new adventure and allowing all of us to join in! You guys are remarkable! Love it, love it, love it!! Love your farm and all your animals, you must be so proud!🥰
I’m so happy for brown Shwoo and her little family. I loved watching this video. So glad you didn’t give up on little Runty. She seems like a special little shwoo.
So happy for Shwoo that she has her own family now and what a beautiful family too. I've been waiting to hear if you bought some eggs and then thought I spotted a different Peacock in one of your videos so I'm so happy to see this exciting story unfold. Will be keen to see what colour Man Shwoo's tail feathers are - dark or white. Well done for managing to get two eggs hatched and chicks to reach adulthood. Thanks for Sharing and looking forward to watching your new channel. Jeanette
This was a lovely first video and was thinking it was two years ago white shwoo left. That was a shame. Every time I see brown shwoo I wondered if you would hatch more. I am pleased you have and was so good to follow their story. Thank you
One word…Magical That describes everything in this video! Thank you Gail and Alex for allowing us to peek into your lives. My face had a big smile the whole time and I cannot wait for more smile inducing magic❣️
I am crying for the Shwoo which was lost, and also for the two new lives and new Momma! Thank you for sharing this precious feathered family! I am half a world away, and overjoyed! You are a talented and artistic storyteller Alex 🐣
Utterly delightful and mesmerising. I had no idea you could buy fertile eggs on the Internet. Amazing that two were able to hatch under your expert supervision. What an accomplished doula you are. A truly enjoyable video - I’m hooked! ❤️🐤🐣🐥
How sweet! I loved this video. It gave us an inside look at your home and your care and love of your animals! It was wonderful and I am looking forward to watching your upcoming videos on this channel! Please be careful and stay safe! ❤❤
8:51 she was leading you away from her nest. We took a candling box with us to the nests, along with an LED flashlight to candle our poultry eggs at the nest. A toilet paper paper tube holds eggs nicely, and makes candling easier with the flashlight.
I loved it. I was wondering what ever happened to the thought of Brown Shwoo starting a family. It was nice seeing it all at once though, no waiting to see what happened and if it all worked out okay. So less stressful that way. 😉
I just love this video. It’s so wonderful. I’m happy you started your new channel. I’ve always wanted to see what it look like on your farm. Thank you for sharing with us.
Couldnt be happier for brown shwoo!! but Alex you are right I havent quit missing white shwoo. Babies were so adorable and you are so great with them all Alex. Glad beyond words Runty made it and I hope she continues to get better and better. Life is such a miracle..what an AWESOME CREATOR GOD.
How sweet.. just found your channel and been watching older videos sad white shrew is no longer with you. Great job at bringing new shrews and they are beautiful.
Oh no! I'm just gutted. I had not realized that White Shwoo was still missing. My deepest condolences. Wherever she is, part of her is always here with us, remembered forever, thanks to your videos. Wishing Brown Shwoo and her beautiful family all the best. Thank you, Alex, for letting us be a part of her half postal half sleight of hand reproductive miracle. I can't wait to get to know the new critics and witness their pecks of ashwooval. Also looking forward to the big tail reveal. I'm sure that chickens and crows for miles around are already suitably impressed with Man Shwoo's colorful decorum. Runty has blossomed into a real beauty as well. I'm glad both of them found their way into such a good nest under your linden tree. Subscribed!
I wondered why no mention of the Schwoos, Alex - you were keeping it all as a surprise for us. Loved watching that and so pleased for the happy ending and hope that White Schwoo returns one day; you never know. Looking forward to more videos on your new channel, Alex and Gale.
Such a treat to watch and listen to this. The greyish weather, the less fortunate sides of the story, the not so overly polished videomaking - together the sweetness of it all, the birds, the flowerd, the love and care, and might I add as others allready have your special voice - make for a wholesome experience taking it in. . . First thing I did waking up the day after getting home from holiday cut short by health issues and bad nerves. Now I allow myself to indulge in the lovely fantasy of peahens and peacocks roaming in our garden. Thank You :-)
Thank you all so much for watching our very first video on our new channel and for all your love and support 🥰🦚Also, please consider Subscribing to our channel - it's free and will really help us keep the channel going, Gail & Alex xx
You're welcome! My daughter and her husband visited Scotland for ten days and loved it. We have old Scottish roots...the Blues and McGougans.
I’m really missing your other channel. It’s been 11 days since the last video.
Have you given up mudlarking?
It's lovely to see your video they are so interesting, fantastic idea 💡

I'm so glad that Brown Shwoo isn't alone anymore! Welcome Boy Shwoo and Runty Shwoo. ❤ 🦚
I love a happy ending, her broken heart is fixed.
Oh Alex, my heart just melted!!! What a fabulous video… nearly cried at ‘This is dedicated to white schwoo’ and yes we do miss her!! 😢 🦚
It's so nice to know that "FRAGILE" means something somewhere! Here in America, it means "Go out for a long pass, Vern!". I mailed a seashell in an insured box marked "Fragile" and it was broken! Clearly, we need some Scottish mailmen on this side of the Atlantic!😂
This is the most amazing and wonderful video I've seen to date! It's so calming and sweet watching Shrew and her new babies! Thank you for this new favorite channel! More, more, please! I can hardly wait for the next video!
Every package weve mailed lately was broken, even holes in the box and missing pieces of items!
If it was mailed USPS, it's due to the (good) sorting machines deJoy had ripped out just before the 2020 election finally being replaced with not as good machines combined with the deal between Amazon and USPS forcing employees to work Sundays despite their original contract not requiring work on Sundays.

Is she from Scotland 🏴 ???????
How precious. Thank you for allowing us to be part of shwoos babies growing up. I am a farmers daughter so really looking forward to your new videos. Thanks again.
What a wonderful name! I too am looking forward to seeing new videos! I’m a long time subscriber to your other channel. This is so exciting!👍☺️🇬🇧

So sorry for the loss of white shwoo😢. Looking forward to watching your new family grow and follow you around in the yard and at the window.

Love it so happy that Shwoo have her family finally
Your lovely voice gives some magic to every story you tell ♥️🙏🏡🍄🐣🐥🌳🌳
Yes, the tone and timbre of her voice - she must have some elven roots

So happy to see the shrew progression. The male is absolutely beautiful.
I’m so happy for your happy developments as schrew sitter and guardian.
They are beautiful.
It’s no wonder you haven’t been to the beach.
Watching this made me miss my days on what was then a 100 year old farm. The farm was sold but is still going strong at a little over 150 years old.
Aw, sweet family for Shwoo!! She might have to take that boy in hand, though! 😀
I am crying for the Shwoo which was lost, and also for the two new lives and new Momma! Thank you for sharing this precious feathered family! I am half a world away, and overjoyed! You are a talented and artistic storyteller Alex 🐣

I just love this video. It’s so wonderful. I’m happy you started your new channel. I’ve always wanted to see what it look like on your farm. Thank you for sharing with us.
❤ a beautiful and interesting video. I loved it. Thank you xxxxx
This is the kind of heartwarming context that we need. Thank you for brightening my day with your beautiful Schwoo family ❤
I'm so happy for Mamma Shwoo!
Just a beautiful story! I remember when you lost the white one. Well done on the editing too.
Oh, how wonderful! brown Shwoo has a family , I'm really happy for her. They're so beautiful too ❤ xx
How sweet.. just found your channel and been watching older videos sad white shrew is no longer with you. Great job at bringing new shrews and they are beautiful.
Always liked peafowls. Truly interesting video. You are a true farm girl. 🥰
So beautiful. Made me tear up 😢❤️
So heartwarming, I loved this so much. Thank you for sharing this with us all, even after it’s finished I am still smiling. ❤🌷
Just so amazing!! Absolutely beautiful birds
Yay!!! So excited for more schwoos!!!
Thank You :-)
What a lovely video.... thank you x
