You have a beautiful clear voice and easy to watch videos. I think it could replace the miter saw especially if you are on a budget. Cool art piece BTW.
By the way great video. I’ve been watching Peter Millard and he has a track saw setup to completely replace his table saw. I just bought 2 of these to be a poor man’s version for my shop and a to go tool. On sale for 19.99 each, plus I figure when they are in hand - I’ll get a better idea how to do my own permanently affixed to the workbench that’s full size.
Neat little tool! It's slick because you really have unlimited angles you can cut. Nice! Noticed no keyword for watching the whole video lol, I was about to write in PICKLE lol. Edit: really nice piece you made!
Haha you caught that! I finished filming and I was like Dangit! I forgot! 😂 - the limit on it would be the wider your board, the fewer angles you can do.
Great review! Thanks for posting! Sounds like a great miter jig for someone getting started. Would this make sense to you for someone who already has a miter saw? I hear you on the portability and you mentioned feeling safer with the less-powered circular saw when doing smaller more detailed work. Would that be its main benefit? I guess I'm wondering if this will add more flexibility in my shop or more probably be added to the dust pile if I've already got a decent miter saw?
Thanks for watching! There’s just kind of something fun about it but yes I think its sweet spot really is small parts and if you are good with cutting them on the miter saw you already have, then you don’t need this. I think it would make an excellent starter jig for a person wanting to make signs, especially mosaics and things like that. It’s just so budget friendly and honestly I think is safer than the miter saw. I have seen so many people do sketchy stuff on a miter saw thinking they are harmless. Anyway - appreciate you commenting and asking! I have used it a few times since the video, usually for dowels and probably because my miter station never got rebuilt when I moved to the new shop.
@@OakHillMillworks I'm not a hobbyist or major woodworker, no projects involving large lumber, this handles just about everything I need it to , and I'd welcome the space taken up by the miter saw......
Whoopsie. Thank you for mentioning that. I’m sad to see that the amazon sale is already over but these are still on sale through the end of the year on Kreg’s site and I imagine in the big box stores too.
@@OakHillMillworks You did not. Your arm support is not even supporting the wood when you extend it. You have it the opposite way. Wood should rest where you are currently starting to cut. Like I said, its the other way around.
This is $10 at Menards today and it's why I'm watching this video!
Yeah, I just picked it up for that too. Great deal indeed...
I got one also. Was thinking of buying the whole rack and reselling on Ebay. 🙂
Cool little project! I never even knew this kind of thing existed. Thanks for showing it off!
Ah yes! Kreg covers a lot of bases with their products. I thought it was such a good idea that is way less intimidating to use than a table saw.

Thanks so much! Definitely a budget shop kind of tool but it actually has come in handy for me a couple times.
That's pretty slick!
Never seen anything like it. Pretty cool.
Porter cable circular saw! It’s nice to see it get some love online!
By the way great video.

Oh wow. Sounds interesting! I’ll have to check out that video.
We used to make a jig like that on the job site for cutting a slot in metal stud blocking.
Nice! Yeah I could see that helping speed things up with repeatable cuts.
I got mine for $10 at Menards in the clearance area. I like it not sure if it hold up though but for $10 it was way worth it.
Totally good for $10!
Great video, Christy!
Thank you, Tom. 😃
Loved your presentation, subed!
Thanks so much! Appreciate that more than you know.
Cute tree. Merry Christmas to you and the family.
Rest up, Garebear. ♥️
Nice presentation, love Kreg products!
They make some great tools that simplify things!
it's 94 € on french amazon. a bit expensive but seems very useful. great presentation thanks
Thanks for the info! Cheers!
I just setup my Crosscut station. As long as you have a good circular saw and the wood thickness is under 2 inch, its easy.
I agree. It’s handy!
Nice if your in a budget or not in your shop.
Great video Ma'am 👌👌👍👍
Thank you Sidhu!!

@@OakHillMillworks yes! The longer the board limits the degrees. And yes I absolutely caught that lol.

I went with a Bosch GCM 8 SDE miter saw😅
Can’t say I blame ya!!
Nice! 👊
Can you use this for compound miters if your saw tilts? Or would it tear up the mdf?? Would it be good for trim with a tilting saw?
That’s a good question. Technically yes you could but like you guessed, it would tear up the MDF over time. I think you could replace the MDF though.
This was $20 a week ago, not sure if it's still at that price. I suspect they're liquidating all their inventory for a newer improved model.
Perhaps! I have heard some people found it for even as low as $10. We will see!
Menards has this for sale for $10 right now.
That’s nuts!
Saw it on ebay at around £40,ordered it 3 days later, the price had shot up to £59 😮
Sounds like you got it at the right time!
I've had one of these for two years... in that time, I haven't used my miter saw at all, in fact, I'm actually selling it....
Yeah they are super helpful if you’re going DIY stuff like a lot of trim work but otherwise…. 😆

FYI-You are cutting in the opposite direction according to the company how to video. Still works though...
I’m actually using it exactly the way the company instructs to use it. Not sure why you think I’m not?
When cutting the direction she is, standing behind the saw she can read the angles on the base and the Caution no hands symbol.
I just picked one up from Menards for $10
damn, shes got a ring on :(
Yes she does. :)
Its on sale for $20 now. Cant see this replacing a good miter saw.
Oh that’s cheap! Definitely more a good beginners tool I think.
You did not assemble it right 😅 its the other way around!
It’s assembled quite right actually. 🤣
