Using just water produces good results for a street car. I learned this by accident in my 75 Camaro when the head gasket was leaking into the intake side was leaking. I had to pull the heads and man the pistons, valves, and combustion chambers were cleaner then new. One side benefit was the emissions test was less then a new car could muster 20 years newer!
This depends on a number of variables. HP, injection system, settings, driving style, etc. • For most engines in the 200-500hp range, the standard 3qt tank will last around a tank of gasoline. • For higher HP levels with the MPG system, it will be more like 1 gallon per tank full of gasoline.
@Mikej1592 We offer a 4 gallon kit and it is a 50/50 mix of methanol and water. Something that isn’t commonly published is using windshield washer solvent, which is usually 50/50, you just have to read the label. You can go to our website and enter part number: SNO-40008
@Ebaytopseller We do not have a kit that is specific to your truck but we do offer this universal kit. You can review the instructions to see how easy the installation can be. Go to our website and the part number is SNO-20002
@eapaaa It’s not quite as effective but it’s been around since the late 1970’s. We sell the Snow Performance kit for N/A engines. You might want to take a look at the instructions to see what you’d be getting into. You can go to our website and in the keyword box, enter part number SNO-20002
So if I wanted a turbo upgrade on my car and wanted to keep the stock intercooler piping and make the most out of 93 oct then this should be enough? I like smaller intercooler cores because it means less lag.
+kenykillr, This is directly from the Sno Performance website: With naturally aspirated engines using less than 10:1 compression, water/methanol is used often in warm climates to get the intake temps lower. Benefits include: 10-15 HP increases from air density increases and full timing as well as more effective air/fuel ratios, increased gas mileage, and carbon free combustion chambers. While power gains are typically less in stock compression naturally aspirated vehicles compared to high compression or forced induction engines, benefits can still be realized due to more timing advance, leaner air/fuel ratios, cleaner engine components, lower temperatures, and the use of the methanol in the injection fluid as a secondary fuel source.
I have water/meth injection in my car. While it does provide good power and cooling benefits. The greatest downside of this is oil dilution. This is what destroyed my turbo due to dilution. Oil contamination also happened to my engine. If your tune is a rich tune and also run meth injection, just make sure you do frequent oil changes (maybe every 2500 miles) as it will completely dilute oil and end up having a very expensive repair cost. For racing it's good to have but for a daily driven car, I wouldn't recommend it. Also, set your meth spray at higher boost around maybe 18 minimum and max at 22 psi, so spray is set only on when going mid to full throttle.
Very interesting. I just install a hydrogen and water mist injection system by AquaTune Hydrogen Fuel Systems. The generators produce 2.5 liters per minute of hydrogen(hydrogen is 2.5 times more powerful than gasoline), plus distilled water mist which cools the hotter burn of the hydrogen. The 2000 Honda insight has increased torque and mpg, and this with low octane fuel.
It would help an NA motor if intake temps were high like driving in a dessert. Would help on a cool day fuck all. Boost it helps heaps i have my ecu trigger the pump and solenoid at a psi setpoint i dial in.
What about a dirty engine with high mileage. Would debris that is cleaned off potentially cause issues inside of the motor? This sounds great for my 99 infiniti Q45 if its approved for 220k
The one thing you are missing is the water has to be pure I mean really pure. .07 parts per million and this can be achieved with the LMW electron 4. Now I bet with this water you could increase the amount of power you get out of one droplet by a very large amount of torque cause you are burning more hydrogen in the cylinder with the pressure and heat that is exposed to the water and the electrical spark. This in-return gives more power and fuel inefficiency.
Thanks for the informative video. I have a 4.8 02 Silverado. It has a mid to high range street cam. 2800 stall and a 4-11 rear. I can see the benefits as far as running cleaning and I basically understand how it works. Some people say I wont feel a difference as far as performance. My questions are direct and simple. Sir, will this make my truck faster? What would the approximate hp and torque gain be?. Can this be set up to automatically work from the throttle, so if I nail it it starts working? I am sorry if you covered this already. If the answer is yes I will order it right away.
Intimidator Ss , Here is some good information from the Snow Performance website FAQ section: • Naturally aspirated/stock compression: With naturally aspirated engines using less than 10:1 compression, water/methanol is used often in warm climates to get the intake temps lower. Summit Racing Hey thanks for the information, I don't assume much so I will ask you this. Will the Water/Methanol system require me to retune it?I have purchased most of this build through you so I will be purchasing both the Methanol and the Nitrous system from you.I am Leaving Ft.lauderdale moving to Daytona in the next few weeks. (Port Orange) Can you recommend a good shop ...anyone?
@eapaaa evren, yes ofcourse you can use it on NA engines and it gives great results especially on high compression engines :) The garage that I go to has done for NA engines.
Why Methanol??? if you have to, wouldn't Ethanol be much better, since Methanol is more corrosive on all your rubber, plastic and even some metals, hoses, gaskets, fittings ????? Also, would I get a power gain without any alcohol, just steam/ atomised water??
Hi Jonny, We have a lengthy response for you, so we will private message you the information and direct you to snow performances’ website. If you go to snowperformance. Net and go to the FAQ gasoline section, you will find a ton of good information. Please let us know if you have any additional questions. Thanks for watching!
Add Synthetic Slick 50 Engine Treatment to Protect Engine components, hence Protecting Cylinder Sleeves, or add a Frantz Filter [dunny roll filter ] as a Secondary Bypass as an option. Treat with Slick 50 with Frantz Filter removed. So as to not collect Bacterial Reduced Teflon. An Atom Beam is used to reduce Teflon to the size of Bacteria.
What? 100% water methanol mix not work, water methanol injection is only a additive for "over power", primary injection is gasoline...The water methanol injection is a very old system, first use in aircraft engines in the 30' for high temp take off, or emergency combat power...
methanol yes ,was use in early times in race cars, forbidden in europe after the dramatical accident in Le Mans 1955, but not 50 to 50 water methanol mix who not burn...
Shaquille Jemmott, Yes, N/A motors can benefit as well. The spray is delivered under high pressure which makes a continuous mist at a certain RPM that you determine.
a lot of washer fluid's contain methanol or ethanol, yes it is very poisonous. washer fluid mixtures are usually 20-40% meth and can not be above 50%. i can provide you a link to the use of this. scroll down to 6 on the page www.snowperformance.net/category-s/168.htm

Would using an Isopropyl alcohol mixture produce the same benefits? Methanol tends to be quite expensive.
So if I wanted a turbo upgrade on my car and wanted to keep the stock intercooler piping and make the most out of 93 oct then this should be enough? I like smaller intercooler cores because it means less lag.
I've been using it in my semi's for about 12 years now.
I get about 25 to 30% increase in torque, and significantly lower EGTs.
Thanks for watching Reed !
This also helps reduce NOx emissions. I personally think this should become standard on vehicles.
Does this mixture work with any type of gasoline engine and does it work without adding any gasoline??? Thanks for the reply
does a car have to be boosted to receive benefits from water injection

What is the ratio of water mixed with a liter?
how about using them on N/A engines? would you say the same benefits? thinking about it so your valuable comments will really help.

How long do water 💧 tank last

What's better, direct port methanol injection or single nozzle injection kits?
has any one tried a large ultrasonic nebulizer affixed to the intake to atomize the water yet ??
would be as if operating in 90% humidity

Can this system be used with a naturally aspirated 4.8 ? Its a stock injection system. The motor has a street cam. Will it add powe?r and how much?
In Brazil the gasoline already come with ethanol and water.
Mas isso não é bom!
Is it bad to combine this with nitrous?

Can u use it on a 2011 chevy silverado 4.8 v8 stock engine

how expensive is the water methanol?

can we bypass the tank and injection system? add straight to gas tank? why is there no questions on my idea!!!?
Brandon Quenneville it's high octane fuel, harder to burn.
Water and gasoline don't mix.
Because it's a stupid question
Water/meth injection systems work by spraying the mist in the intake before the combustion chamber.
An Atom Beam is used to reduce Teflon to the size of Bacteria.
my only question is how much water should be mixed with the methanol to perform correctly
Tooney ToonZ 50/50
Does this also work with Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) ?
It will work with any internal combustion engine. It absorbs heat and expands. If you had an implosive engine it wouldn't work.
Yeah clean steam the pistons for oil... no oil lubrication = blow up engine
I just hate the idea of having to monitor yet another item or liquid. But I guess my ZL1 being supercharged would benefit from this.
any in Indonesia?
Do you have to tune your car for this?
Cristian B yuppp
Different applications can benefit from either. Give us a call on our tech line and we can help pick what is best for your application. 1-330-630-0240
can you please upload this video on facebook
100% methanol mix what benefits would that be, I recently melted a set of forged pistons with a 50/50 mix ? :(

So that’s why my car runs better on a cool rainy fall day when the rain is a ‘mist’.
Add HHO injection to this and you have a super injection system
can this be used on a na engine and is the spray continuous or or not
Shaquille Jemmott, Yes, N/A motors can benefit as well. The spray is delivered under high pressure which makes a continuous mist at a certain RPM that you determine.
I thought methanol and water were unmixeable
Yeah, and vodka and cola are not mixable too :D
it's the same mixture as screen wash
Nathan Shinn Screen wash is not with methanol, it is very poisonous...

NitrusJunglist you're not supposed to drink it
Someone needs to invest in a pop filter.
Those 's's were killing me lol
Oh, yeah
I love how they used My car lol
highly atomized... mist.
PEE IS BETTER!
Is this bullshit
no it is not :D
