Please note I did make a mistake. you must put the bike on the rear stand before using the front stand. This is a small fact I missed and you can see why you need to do it.
Use my Oxford rear paddock stand all the time. Love it. First time or two lifting or lowering can be nerve wracking, but an invaluable tool for those of us not blessed with a center stand. Good vid.
Cheers! It is great to see you constantly producing and posting your content. I saw somewhere a guy saying you should only use the front paddock together with the rear one i.e. first put the rear end on it's paddock and then apply the front paddock.
The swinging arm cups annoy the hell out of me on Divs. The swinging arm is at the perfect angle for the bike to slide down it so the wheel ends up touching the ground and you cant do what a paddock stand is supposed to enable you to do. I had far more luck getting a pair of bobbin clamps that bolt around the swinging arm and stay perfectly in place. They at least mean you get plenty of lift on the rear end. Doing it like that means the bike is also more stable if you put a front stand on as well. Also the flex in the cheapo stand may well be because theres no cross bar on the handle which would be providing some rigidity to the structure.
I can recommend the Hi-Q tools one I have. It looks identical to your blacks one spicy but is bright orange. I actually went and checked and it has that same brace bit.
Nice one Spicy! Ive always had a horror about using paddock stands solo. So I’ve got an Abba stand, great bit of kit and holds a Versys 1000 rock solid. Also takes up very little space..... no garage so it lives under a desk in a third floor flat!
Hi Spicy I've got a suggestion for the flimsy front stand, Pick up some m10 or m12 threaded bar long enough to be just wider that that U-Tube, drill m12 holes either side and slot the threaded bar through with nuts either side (4 in total) with washers and that would save welding in a piece of tube with half moon cut outs 👍
I've had one of the cheap aluminium sets from the PRC. I just invested in an oxford premium one and its worlds apart. Solid is an understatement. It's a little heavy in comparison but feels so much more stable. I would definitely recommend spending an extra few quid and getting something you are unlikely to ever need to replace and can rely on.
Black... Aka Ghost Bikes, aka UKgooddeals Ltd. They have an ebay, their own webstore and a single, large store in Lancashire. I worked there once... Felt sorry for the staff by the time I left. I have the same rear stand and will be looking at a centrestand now too. Begrudgingly....
I need one but im unsure on what one is best for my bike. I have a Honda Shadow 125. The problem i have is my exhaust is in the way and the contact patch on the other is to small as i dont have a belly pan as such but my frame is down there aswell....
I think I have the same front and the rear one you got rid of, they wobble a lot but are fine for lubing the chain and sticking tyre warmers on! :-) I'd def prefer something a little sturdier though!
Great vid, just got a bike that came with some and this really helped. I 100% would of just tried the front at some point so thanks for the info to never do this.
My 2005 cbr 125 is a nightmare for these because the swing arm is so skinny I ended up using a 2in1 set and use the front stand with the rear attachments but even with that is a little bit sketcky
I’d advise anyone to get bobbins for their bike and hooks for their rear stand. They are so much more secure like this. When I work on the front I use a rear paddock stand and put a trolley jack under the engine to lift the front
That poor spider, first you almost crush it with your foot then you move the centre stand over it when its trying to get away. Hope you did not hurt it.. the get rid of flys and i really hate flys lol... oh and great vid on the stands ;-)
Get an ABBA Superbike stand 👍 I want one rather than getting a front paddock stand (got a rear), just a little pricey, but well worth it. I need some extra accessories for it to work with my old bike though and remove rider foot-pegs to use it lol.
I had the same paddock stands, bought as a pair. Front is great, rear...............flex's under 160kg bike!! Not impressed. Should have bought a better quality one.
Please note I did make a mistake. you must put the bike on the rear stand before using the front stand. This is a small fact I missed and you can see why you need to do it.
should invest in a headstock stand with various pins, awesome bits of kit spicy

100% I made a mistake, fronts should only be used with rear stands as well and as you say rear first.
I've got a similar dirt bike stand- I cut a bit off the sliding tubes (both inside and outside) to lower the height of it.

good video appraisals Spicy, useful as always. Cheers, more like this please.

As a new biker, this was very useful👍
Some nice tips 👌 great video as always 👍

Been debating getting a stand for my bike, thanks for sharing! gonna look into these :)
Good video Spicy, I use a front stock stand on the R6. Would of been a good one too add. Regardless keep up the good work my good man
Iam thinking a spicy paddock stand project coming up soon
hi mate hope you had a good day I think your stand needs a bit of a clean
You have a good pronounciation.

Warrior stands. Good quality. £40

4:50 woo thanks for the tip i bought one of these for my adrenaline but it doesnt fit haha so ive literally only used it as a stool

🤣
Hey man, I've heard lexmoto are making a new model for the adrenaline you going to test it out when its released?
Unfortunately the cup paddock stand for the rear swing arm of a Yamaha mt 125 is wired as f*** and it doesn’t fit it very well
YEEEEEESSSSS
Good vid👍
Are you able to get a clip on microphone to record separate audio. I know why you use the helmet. But it's Summer.
That poor spider, first you almost crush it with your foot then you move the centre stand over it when its trying to get away. Hope you did not hurt it.. the get rid of flys and i really hate flys lol... oh and great vid on the stands ;-)
I use a Anna stand. For me, it’s better than a paddock stand.
i think you only use the front when the rear is up to. That's why it's wobbly. 🤔
Yes you are quite right, II though I had pinned a comment saying that but clearly not so I just added it. I think I should re do this.
9:36 dunno why they don't design them with 2 bolts? 🤔 That way it would really struggle to come apart and go wider.
you mentioned fixing it after I had commented lol
the center stand should prob have a little bit of lube
Never use a front stand without a back stand, just a heads up, it should say on the instruction also.
As the text on screen at 10.18 says 😉
@@spicy110 oops not very observant today am I lol
that stand needs some greese and that left stand i allmost dropped my cbr600rr using that so i decided to place it in the bin
