      0.000291. I agree on that its a good video. But ppl have their own opinion and tbh i dont think anyone will complain about that like to dislike ratio when only 70 ppl out of 240 000 hated it so mouch that they disliked so that means (if im correct) 0.00291 of the ppl watching disliked

    Fun to see a dental scrap video. I've saved up several dozen grams of dental scrap over the last several years of extracting teeth and cutting them off to redo them. Even Porcelain fused to metal (PFM) crowns can have a significant amount of gold and palladium in them. There is plenty of money to be made in dental scrap, just send it to dental metal refiners and you can get great returns.
    high noble dental alloys will contain a minimum of 40% gold and at least 60% precious metals. There are even some gold colored, high palladium alloys that are only 2% gold, so just because it is gold colored, does not mean it contains lots of gold (argen Y+ alloy).

    Hey, Cody! How would one go about isolating silicon from silicone dioxide beads, and how much would you need of the silicone dioxide (silica gel) beads to get a noticeable amount of silicon? Could you explain, or do a video on it? Thanks! I've been a fan for a long time now, new time subscriber.

  • @mitchellisnotallowed1731
    @mitchellisnotallowed1731 7 років тому

    Cody, with your method in this video, I would say your gold bead there is quite heavily contaminated with platinum. If you look closely at the gold that came out of the crucible, it appeared there was something that didn't melt. Depending on the age of those gold crowns, there will be more or less platinum in the alloy. They didn't use quite as much silver as they did platinum and paladium, owing to the softness of the metal. Look up C.M Hoke's "refining precious metal wastes", it is an excellent read.

    Cody- could you please show all the steps in the precious metal refining? That includes when you use water to clean out the glass containers containing solution. I know you may think it would be boring but I believe it would be nice to see how you get all the solution like silver nitrate or all the solid material (aka precious metals) that fell out of the chemical mix, from one container to another completely without leaving/losing anything in the process. Thank you for your amazing videos. -- Long time viewer/fan
