Warning if you or anyone has epilepsy stay away from lavender it sets off fits if epileptic. Strange but true I found this with my wife and son who are epileptic. Also my friend kept having more and more fits due to when he moved new house he actually had lavender growing all in his front garden. When he had them completely removed his fits calmed down to normal episodes.
I love essential oils too. They also affect your mood too. Like lemon and orange and grapefruit are great for posting your energy, lavender is relaxing and rosemary keeps your mind sharp and focus. Natural is the way to go
You could also get little wooden clothing clips and put the oil on them and stick them to your vents:)
This is a really good idea and I love lemongrass! Also a tip : put some drops on the cabin filter. Greetings from The Netherlands
Spilt my tea when I heard the Jasmin part lmao
Some essential oils will dissolve some paints and some plastics, especially acrylic. It's best to dilute it and keep it in a container with a perforated top.
love it. and love the vent idea. I’m doing this tomorrow. THANK YOU!
Brilliant advise. I tried this and the car smells beautiful. It costs less than £2 in the UK.
Take the essential oil and get you some of the old school wooden clothes pins that have the spring. Drip the oil on the cloth pins and it will soak into the wood then you can clip them into your vents. Also keep several in a zip lock bag in the glove box and when ever you need a fresh one just swap it out 👍
I use Lemongrass on my homemade soaps! - my customers really like the scent. - mix Lemongrass and Lavender.. you'll really like it.
+Mac Pelao yes! I love that mix!! Thanks for stopping by :)
Brilliant!!!! This works great. Thank you!!!
Thanks for the idea. I've been searching
i like it the way you use the essential oil, it never crossed my mind, thanks a lot for sharing
Great tip thanks, I’m going to try it tomorrow!

This worked! Thank you. Used lime esesntial oil.
Thank you! 🙌 I'm a truck driver and allergic to chemical fragrance... This is a lifesaver!
Brilliant thanks I'm on my way to get some right now. Great vid
Never though of that, will try it. Thanks for the tip man!
I have a bottle of this and the others. .Bought set on amazon. so will try it as a refresher. Tks for info
I rarely comment on videos but thank you sir! You saved me from inhaling chemicals
Dude, you're the man! I've been bouncing from eBay to Google to UA-cam trying to find some ideas like this. I thought about useing expensive colognes inside empty air fresheners after they run out. Thank you for the great ideas. I haven't gotten into essential oils yet but now I want to explore them. Thank you!
+Donnie Todd Thanks for watching! Please let me know how you like the essential oils! :)
@@RideshareGenius Cheap essential oils are again chemicals only. you can't guarantee the purity of it!
Lemon grass, clove bud, and lavender are probably my favorite. I also use them on wool dryer balls instead of toxic dryer sheets
Thanks for the ideas! I love lemongrass too, but didn't consider it as an car air freshener till now.
Favorite quote: "super, super concentrated and really, really strong"
I have a car freshener & the pads slide in the charger & it lasts about a week b4 I have to use more drops. Pretty good.
+Christina Rutherford Sounds like you have a good setup! :) Thanks for watching!
Very useful. Thanks for the upload
Been looking for a good natural option to keep my car fresh, thanks for the tip.
You have earned a subscriber, buddy. Cheers.
Great idea. Saw an Uber driver on YT who recommended something similar. I went to a health store at the mall, I got eucalyptus but lemongrass and others were there too. Thanks for the tip.
Thanks for watching! :)
I never thought to keep my old trees & drop my essential oils on it. Duh?! 😜
I use Jasmine and YlangYlang oils in my car. And I always put some paper towel with a few drops of these oils in every trash can in our house when I change to new, empty ones (I skip our composte bin). In our kitchen we have six different trash cans. One for metal, one for glass (I separate colored from clear at our recycling station in town.), one for batteries and light bulbs (which I also separate at the recycling station), one for our empty drinking cans (which we get money back for when recycling here in Sweden. Five regular cans returns about a dollar worth of cash back. ), one for compost and one for cardboard boxes and paper.
Any other who recycle this way? Been doing this since 1992 here in Sweden. For a while in other words. When did you start separating all of your trash?
Excellent idea! I'll be trying this out today! Thank you for the video.
+marjay2038 Thanks for watching! :)
Going to try this. Great idea!
Great tip. Thank you!!
I use essential oils all the time but had not thought of his method for my car. I have a vaporizer/diffuser for different rooms in the house but use sparingly as it will run about two hours max. Great stuff. The lemongrass, if you use too much can be a bit overpowering but as he said, there are plenty of aromas available and new ones coming out all the time. Ginger is a great one.
+Rick Shapiro Ginger is one oil I haven't tried yet. Will have to pick some up! Thanks for watching and commenting :)
Appreciate the vid! How long does the smell last on average?
Great video have oil burners all threw my home never thought of this, using essential oils in all my cars now
I tried it and its better than the scented trees! I used Lemongrass oil, smells awesome!!
Thanks for sharing!!
MsNan11 I'm so glad you like it :) Have a great day!
I love to use my downy dryer sheets and stuff them in the seats. Under the seats. Nooks and crannies. And I usually have a box of 80 to 120 or so. Love it. Not too strong. Something to think about.
Google ingredients of those dryer sheets. They are toxic
Thank you! I use essential oils all the time never considered using them in my car! This will save me so much money
You will love it! Thanks for watching & commenting, Elisha :)
Great tip!
I haven't tried it yet, but i used Ozium because i used to smoke in my car and it made me sick, but even from your description it's true and convincing. Thanks for sharing.
+Steven Idode Thanks for watching! Not a scientific study by any means, but the more time I spent in my car, the more I started thinking and it just all made sense :)
Man you are brilliant. It's so simple, so inexpensive, yet marvellous.
Just a quick question - how long does it last? How often will i have to add those drops to that cotton pad?
Thanks for the video and the helpful info. You seem like a cool dude. I'll try the lemongrass oil.
+John Anthony Cantergiani Thanks!!!! I really appreciate it. If you decide to try another oil after that, my suggestion is lavender :)
How long does it usually last before you have to replace it? And is there any difference in scent/time lasted for the different materials you stated(cotton balls, paper towels, etc)?
Thanks for your great video. I will be trying this as soon as possible
Thank you, Prahlad!! Please let me know how you like it
Thanks. Im gonna give it a try
Very nice presentation and thank you for the idea. I have some lavender to use so I will try it and let you know how it goes.
Lavender is one of my favorites! Thanks for watching :)
Genous bro. Me and my boy used to do it with fresh coffee beans from the grocery store and stuff them under our seats, but I like this better
+ClonicTonic :) Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment! Please let me know if you end up trying some oils!!

Love lemongrass! Never thought to use it in the car. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for stopping by! :)
A local company markets a bug repellant with lemongrass oil as the active ingredient. For me the smell of lemongrass is strongly associated with it. The repellant totally works, if you don't mind smelling like a lemon square.
Really good idea, it solved one of my problems. Thank you.:)
+何丽娟 Thanks for watching!! :)
For the newer cars you can use these pads on the air conditioner filter. Just slide the pad in with the filter and dont worry about staining any surface. Of course only if your filter is easy to get to, if not then this method works good.
+gusrojo88 Great idea!! :) Thanks for sharing!
Great Video. Thank you for posting.
Thanks, Sonny 😀
The wet pad made my AC plastic vent paint to peel off. It's a brand new car bought a week ago... This spoiled the bottom section of the vent... Is there any good DIY to fix the paint?
I put essential oils on on cotton as well but I wipe my vents and dash with it and I put some on an old tree air freshener and hang it on my mirror. Seems to work quite well.
Edit: I'm a smoker and it works well to take the smoke smell away
Thanks for sharing 👍
Thanks for the tip...
This is awesome! thanks for sharing!
+MsStacyYvonne Thanks for watching! Have a wonderful day!
Great information. I will try the Lemon Grass. If you use the a/c on recirculate the best place to but the cotton pad would be on the passenger floor which is near the intake for the recirculated air. In this way the smell will come out all the vents.
+Firehead427 Great idea! Let me see if I can find that spot in my car :)
Great man thanks
Excellent idea. Never thought to use it!
Thanks! Let me know if you like it ! :)
Thank you! I'll definitely try it.
Thanks for watching!! I hope you like it :)
Wunderbaum Jasmin was light blue coloured in 1990s and my absolute favourite. I can still smell it in my scentmemory although I haven't smelled it in over 20 years. I've seen the new yellow Jasmin trees but haven't tried it. After this video I won't try it lol. I keep my fond memories of 90s baby blue Jasmin trees and won't ruin 'em with the yellow one. :D
Thank you so much! I've been looking for a nice car freshener tip for a while now.
let me know how you like it :)
It worked perfect !!! I'm a new driver and I've gotten so many compliments, so thank you👍🙂
Thanks a lot!
Nice thanks buddy
nice tip thanks
My favorite lemon grass smell
Stripper Jasmin. 😂 I’ll subscribe just on that. 🤩
Great idea.
Great idea thanks for sharing bro.
Thanks for watching!
My cousin recently had a baby and named her Jasmin, without an e! Thanks for the chuckle.
do you use charcoal bags to absorb all the smell while there's oil put "in" the car?
Thanks bro
Thank you
I tried it you're absolutely right
Glad you like it, Craig! Thanks for watching :)
Great idea1 👍
Thanks. Best! Lemongrass!!!

Thanks
Thank you dude I think I'm try it. I will let you know. Thx
Rushdi ASHKAR Yes, please let me know! Some of my favorite essential oils are lavender and lemongrass and there are so many more that smell great. Go to a local store and check some out to find the ones you like. You can also make it into a spray
Thank you for this video... Finally i can have a freshener with your great idea... Only all- natural products work for me.... Marshalls have good deals of essential oils... I found an orange oil and it smells so goood without hurting my lungs.
Thanks for watching, Beth :)
Thanks, great advice
Thanks for watching! :)
Great tip man!
Thank you ! :)
Thanks for this - I've been buying those California Scent tins (Colorado Cherry🍒 ), they smell good, but are quite expensive. However, they do smell artificial and like you, I worried about what was actually in them! Will be trying Lemongrass essential oil for sure.
Please let me know how you like it! There are so many great scents in case lemongrass isn't for you -- lavender, peppermint, orange, etc....
