2015 - 2019 RCFs were rated at 467 HP and the 2020+ RCFs were rated at 472 HP. TE has a normal LSD like the standard LSD. The intake design was changed to add the 5 HP. Also, the weight reduction is from lighter wheels, a lot of the luxury amenities like ML stereo are optional and they removed the structural rigidity beams in the door for some odd reason, which the standard RCF has for added rigidity. C&D magazine got a 12.4 seconds in the 1/4 for a TE, which is about the same as a standard RCF probably because of the added downforce. The suspension is the exact same except the AVS dampers have a higher rebound rate in the TE in Sport+ mode than the standard RCF.
Thanks for producing a video that didn't have a hundred cuts in it. The Track Edition in black is amazing, but personally I think the hood should have been body colour from factory
As much as it pains me to say it, I prefer the 2015 base model. Something about it looks so premium, aggressive, and beautiful. I had a deal on a 2020 rcf vs a 2015 rcf at around the same price and I went with the 2015 with FBO. I don't regret it one bit.
ngl I like the "standard" RC-F interior. The Track edition is just toooo much red. Also prefer the separated DRLs rather than 1 piece headlight. All the carbon is beautiful, but doesn't justify the price. You could buy it all for $10-12k or so and get a used RC-F low mileage CPO for $50k ish. Shoot theirs one near me 2017 15k mileage going for $54k.
Thanks for the comparison. Get us those power folding mirror part numbers !!! I would love to retrofit power folding mirrors into my car. That's another video idea for you!
Yes!!! This x100. Barry PLEASE help us with part numbers. I sent you a message on FB. No rush but figure if you can help us out, you'd be GREATLY helping the community. There'd be a select few of us in the USA with power folding mirrors which would be awesome!
I really can't decide whether I like the pre- or post-facelift exterior more. The facelift looks more refined, but the "crazier" lights on the original one are just awesome. Plus, the vents look better with the chrome lining outside instead of in the middle. But the facelift comes with a well-integrated Android Auto, so that's pretty awesome. That being said, I'm not a big fan of the track edition, at least from a drivers perspective. The spoiler looks absolutely awesome, but saving that bit of weight wouldn't be worth loosing the TVD and the heated seats to me.
It wouldnt be as beneficial to the driver if the owner doesnt track it like it is designed to do. I enjoy the TVD and heated seats around this time haha.
@@thehuangbros That's true! On the other hand, for 100k+, you can find (or build) better options if all you're looking for is a ring tool. The RC F is great, but it's not built as a pure performance car and a bit of carbon can't change that. As a fan, if money wouldn't be an issue and it would only be for pure driving fun, I'd think of one - but as a daily driver, I enjoy warm seats, too :) But I'd lie if I said I never thought of changing the trunk cover on my (future) RC F to get that awesome wing spoiler.
I wanna get an RCF but the dealer asked for $25k down on a 2015 with 68k miles. I have good credit and make $3000 a month and live rent-free so idk why they asked for so much. I'll just look around for another one. I would really like one in white with black interior.
I'm going to assume you're young, so I'd recommend you save up for a few more years. That way you'll have a lot more to spend without breaking the bank, and you could buy a newer model year with fewer miles.
$25k down is a joke. They're just trying to scam you. A 2015 w/ 68k would AT MOST cost $40k so they're asking for more than 50% down which is unheard of and insane. I bought my RC-F with $10k (by choice not required) on a $60k CPO.
@@BM-du7sl Yea I’m 23 but I’ve looked at an isf for quite some time until I test drove an rcf and the difference in interior quality is night and day. And my goal is to hopefully get one this year bc I’m waiting on my insurance to pay me for my totaled car (wasn’t at fault).
@@Skittlezz45 yea I was getting scammed most likely. It was $43k. He said my income was the problem but I don’t have debts or anything since I live at home. I literally only have $3k saved so I’m figuring I would need AT LEAST 10k for a down payment since my income isn’t the greatest I guess.
Dude me too. Our garage isn't that wide so when we park my Wife's IS-350 F Sport in there with my RC-F we have to manually fold the mirrors in. Which is fine, except when she folds my passenger mirror and I have to pull over to pop it out. She keeps a rolled up sun shade in her car so she can just roll the passenger window down and use the rolled sunshade to pop it out. 😆
Love your Vids man. Cool to see you are here in Germany now. Maybe we will meet someday on a Lexus/JDM meeting. Driving a white RCF by myself since 3 month and absolutely enjoying it. Keep up the good work mate.

Actually most of that money is probably on the ceramic brakes as those things go for $20k for a set of 4 just by themselves. Then you add the CF hood (the CF roof is like $12k) which is probably another $10k and there's your price difference.

The 2020+ RC F is not Gen 2. It’s technically Gen 1.5. Still the same chassis code USC10 but with updates. Great video. Keep it up!

FBO RCF is a good deal. The pricing of install and parts alone would cost a lot
@@thehuangbros that's why I jumped on it. I was thinking I'd also go e85 but quickly realized it doesn't do a lot for an NA engine.
