I have absolutely no clue if you'll ever see this comment, Nathalie, but I've gotta say this nonetheless. You have been a bright spot in my life this year. Pandemic has been hard as is, but I lost my job in February and ended up falling into a depressive episode; I had known of you, but I didn't keep up, because I was much more into crochet than I was knitting. There was a day mid March, I believe, in which I just put one of the podcast episodes to have some background company while I did my chores and every time I heard you laugh or giggle, I'd stop and look at the TV screen. Your smile literally lights up the whole shot you're in and I couldn't help but grin a little. Soon it became a habit to watch your videos during the day and they helped me so much! You have a lovely attitude, always so bright, even in moments of frustration or disappointment. It's been like getting a new friend. Thanks to you I started knitting, determined to actually grasp the techniques and for my first project I knit a Weasley Sweater (inspired by you, of course!) which in retrospect was a bit too much of a commitment for a depressed person, but you kept me motivated and whenever I felt overwhelmed by it, I'd just put one of the older episodes of the podcast and chill with you. I've gotten back up on my feet, working for myself - again, you're a huge influence, because you showed me it was possible - and I'm just so dang grateful to you! It's been a hard year and I've had to put a lot of work into myself, but even though I live thousands of miles away, in Brazil, I see a friend in you. You're always here to cheer me up, and you've taught me so, so much. I'm confident in my knitting abilities, but also in my ability to get through things and smile in the face of challenges. Thank you, again, from the bottom of my heart. You gave me courage when I needed and I've even started knitting socks because of you! Loads of good vibrations and positive energy from Brazil to you, all the way over in New York xx
I will tell you right now -- Natalie is the most wonderful person I have ever had the pleasure to talk to and hang out with! She is so caring and just amazing. She does light up the room ... even if its virtual!! :D
So glad you are doing better. We have a whole group of wonderful people in Natalie’s membership. We all share our knitting or crocheting with each other and even our own family and friends in our everyday life on zoom. So grateful for this wonderful friendship we all share. Wish you could join us. Natalie has opened up this whole way of us sitting and chatting and knitting with each other especially during the pandemic when we do don’t go much to our local yarn stores to knit.
Enjoyed to hear about your guys's adventure!!!! Can't wait to see your guys sweaters beautiful colors.... OMG when I watch TV now or shows always say look at that pretty sweater my husband's like really LOL I probably wouldn't have ever noticed that until I started knitting!!!!!!!! Enjoy the video you guys it was nice to see Rebecca have a wonderful evening enjoy your Chinese food
What a fun adventure for you both! Can’t wait to see the slug sweaters. You are going to like knitting the Woolens and Nosh yarn, the DK is great too. I am on my fourth pair. I finally sat down and had time to start a Musselburgh hat. The Saven cable sweater is a good one.
I went to indie untangled for the last time slot…It was so fun. I really enjoyed the gals from scratch (Jessica and Karen) from the Make Good podcast. The knitmore girls where there too. I agree that seeing the samples really did it for me as well. I heard the cakepooluza (sp?) was even better. Another great event to look out for is the Morehouse farm even (it is free) and I got so much yarn for projects..lots of support and the grounds were so beautiful. So quiet and right down the road from Rhinebeck. Great weekend.
Believe it or not I was in that line at Woolens and Nash for the Cornucopia. Probably right near you both. I got the fingering skein and then decided I better grab that last skein of DK for my daughter. So when you saw that last skein on the wall. We got it. LOL! I was there with my 2 daughters. We loved Indie untangled. I also bought several skeins at Sew Happy Jane booth. Loved her yarn. Glad you got your ride.
I loved your description of what it's like to be in a yarn marketplace. We had Knit City Mini in Vancouver on the 2nd. I went with a friend and we had 3 1/2 hour time slots - oh my goodness. We experienced some of the same things - that initial buzz and frenzy, and then the last 1 1/2 hours it quieted down, and that was the real danger zone because there was more room to move and explore in the booths. I was both overwhelmed and buzzed at the same time, you want to support all these vendors who brought their stuff, so many different colours and products, etc etc. I can say I do not regret a single purchase. I worked a couple extra shifts to pay for my extravaganza:)
I love watching your videos they are a wonderful way to end the day. Also, now I have to go back and re binge watch “only murders in the building “ just for the sweater content. I’m so glad you had a wonderful day at indie untangled. Looking forward to your Rhinebeck videos.
Loved this video!! Thanks for taking me to Indie Untangled. A train ride in New York in the fall sounds like a good time to me. Nice to meet Rebecca, I enjoyed her!! 😊💕

Hello from Mounds lllinois. My friend and road the Train to Chicago to Vogue one year and it was very nice.
Such a cute video!
I think the people in the state may be different than the people in New York City. Just a thought.
