You're very welcome Ed, glad you got our Christmas card, thank you for the kind words, your Thunderbird looks awesome buddy, really nice work, don't know if you are subbed to J B scale creations, John, he just did a video on vintage Thunderbird kits you might enjoy, 🎄👍
Man Ed. You are not kidding about the American auto industry. It is trash these days. And we used to put out literal works of art like this one. What an absolute beauty. Gorgeous work, my friend. You killed it.
Really great looking build, I've got one in my stash, looking forward to building it, even more so, now. I do wish you could build it without the continental kit, though. Thanks!
@@ernestoclaudodip9671 it was molded in red plastic. I sprayed it Tamiya Italian Red then applied a clearcoat. Thanks for checking it out. It's a great kit.
Don't blame the auto companies. The Federal government and California issue endless regulations that dictate what the Companies can build and sell. If an auto company designs a particularly good looking vehicle that customers want and line up to buy too fast, oftentimes that Company is forced to raise prices above affordable and slow down production drastically, so that sales numbers don't cause the Company's fleet mileage average to fall below the corporate fuel economy standard, and trigger fines from the government agencies that control the regulations. These regulations have turned the auto industry into an appliance selling business, not the appealing artistic studios that used to manufacture cars in America, and sell as many as they could make.
@@rayrussell6258 you'll get no argument from me on that! But they always take the cheap and easy route every time. Thanks for scoping out the build. This is a great kit.
@@TI4438 To get mileage numbers up, many decisions are compromised. It wasn't to be cheap and easy, the regulation forces those decisions. I worked and retired from one of the Big 3, spent 30 years in product development and engineering finance. I just bought the newly re-released AMT version of the '56 TBird. It will be interesting to see the differences versus Revell, thanks.
