I literally just got a custom exhaust done yesterday, got the second cat deleted and took out the suitcase muffler and just added a y pipe. Couldn’t find anyone else on UA-cam that did this set up but I think it’s perfect. Has a nice quiet rumble in daily driving around town, but in the upper rpms it can be crazy loud with nice dsg pops.
@@michaelchecinski3719 depends on your mechanic I guess but the guy I went to charged me about 250 with new 3inch tips as well. After having this set up for a little while I gotta say there is some drone in between 2k-3k which isn’t that bad but it’s noticeable. Might try to get a j pipe welded in to cut down on the drone a little
Yo, I have pretty much exactly the same setup on my A3. Stage 2 "quieter" pops and bangs and Borla S-Type. I added a Vibrant 1142 3" Ultra Quiet Resonator, and it made a HUGE difference. It still sounds really good, but has much less drone while cruising. Bought it for $90ish on Amazon, and had a local muffler shop weld it on for $60. It's definitely worth considering.
@@ryanlevyy Sooo there was further development... I bought an additional two 10" resonators and put those before my exhaust tips. Sounds good. I’m probably going with an AWE cat back just because of the AWE resonated downpipe I have installed. Maybe I’ll go AWE track exhaust and get some straight pipes

I want to get RS7 spark plugs for my 2017 A3 Quattro. If I get a cold air intake, turbo muffler delete, and the better spark plugs, is it absolutely necessary to tune the ECU/TCU, or could I run stock with those mods without tuning? I'm asking because I have to smog my car and have to worry about emissions. If a stage 1 tune doesn't fail me during smog, I would love to tune it, if you know
Sounds like a good plan. Stage 1 is a huge difference over stock. Can't go wrong there. Definitely get the TCU tune for hi output file. Rs7 plugs great too along the basic airflow mods. You should be fine with inspection as long as you don't go stage 2 or mess with the downpipe. You could also do the plugs and intake without a tune no prob
How many miles are you getting out of those continental DWS06 tires? Mine are about shot at just 25k miles. I have dedicated winters so just going for summer tires next time round, not impressed with wear on these. Alignment done by Audi dealership when installed as well

@@KOHSKEH A 3 inch performance resonator install would be a good opportunity for a new video. Resonators smooth out harsh and unwanted vibrations that bleed into the cabin and make all your plastics go clickity clack.

tbh , i cut off my res , mufflers and installed wide open cats with an o2 sensor and it sounds nice without check engine light , every time i’ve been pulled over it’s been a fix it ticket

Sounds like a drone. How bad is it at 75 mph? Does it work with Audi S3 dynamic modes so it's not as loud when just commuting to work.

IS38 APR stage 3 FBO. This was with the APR downpipe+ Borla catback. I would not recommend. Extremely loud, raspy and annoying
