    Loved the opening. Its impossible, even for a man as talented as yourself, to not feel like a total badass when playing this song.
    Thanks for the lesson.

      Not to be rude but that is probably because the way he is playing it is not correct. The D chord always has a slide from 1st to 2nd fret. This is a VERY basic part of playing the song right. If your going to post instructional videos at least have the parts down right.

    • @jsbman3184
      @jsbman3184 5 місяців тому

      Real musicians don’t tell others they’re playing it wrong. There is no wrong way to play anything. it’s just how you play it. the artist play their own songs differently.

    Marty,
    Love the video as always, great stuff!
    Quick question from a beginner to a seasoned player such as yourself: If you have had the chance to play one, what is you opinion on the Fender Mustang Amp? I've watched previous videos you covered on a few different amp models and fell in love with the Fender sound, but was curious about your take on this one as it is solid state.
    Thanks!

    Great video as always, I find in the verse that hammering the g-string open to 2nd (like in 7 bridges road) as opposed to sliding it from the 1st fret seems to work better (for me) and has a little cleaner articulation, just as an alternative

    Hey Marty
    First, I'd like to say I love your tutorials. I used to actively play piano (with a teacher set on classical music) so I turned to youtube for tutorials but they were mostly, to put it mildly, terrible (they always just wanted you to look at their hands as they played). I recently started guitar and while the tutorials are much better, it can still be challenging when people say that they can't quite explain it and to just look at what they're doing (I'm visually impaired). So thanks for always being very clear and descriptive (in the videos I've seen, anyway) '
    Now I'd like to ask if you would make a video for All TIME Low's If These Sheets Were States on acoustic
    Please and thanks
    Continue awesome tutorials

    it's amazing how chords i recently learn simply build up in the next song that I try to learn. For example this song happens to have in some parts an almost similar progression to a country hit a learned last month with the same tuning (some song calLed "buy me a boat"). That g chord using the fingers on the third and fifth fret , well the only thing I didnt know back then was that it was called a G chord. I just wish I had the musical ear to have figured out it was similar .then again I've been only playing guitar for three years, sO tHANKS .
