    I've got a Dr pen and it takes forever to do the top of my head. Save yourself some time and get a 1.5mm derma stamp. With the stamp I do the the whole top of my head in about 3 minutes and it doesn't hurt as much as the pen either.

      @@telzzz + Is it titanium or stainless steel? Also I hear a lot about how badly designed pens can "tear" the skin instead of just going straight in - do u think the stamp eliminates that problem? I find it curious that it doesnt hurt as much as the pen because I thought the speed of the pen was what made it hurt less.

    • @telzzz
      @telzzz 3 роки тому +1

      @@cristinadriviera8144 Hey Cristina, My stamp is stainless steel. I never had a tearing issue with the pen. I think that might come about if you move the pen too quickly, the roller needles are by far the worst for that in my opinion. The stamp definitely eliminates tearing because of the up and down motion. I find the pen hurts more because of the speed and added vibrations on my skull. On fleshy parts of the body I like the pen but on the head or any other parts where there's bone it's not for me and I actually have a high pain threshold.

    Minoxidil seems to be marketed to men. Is this to do with the composition?
    Or is it a matter of the strength?
    Or is it that men are more obvious and vocal about their hairloss challenges while women hide under wigs which are these days literally undetectable and very fashion forward?
    I had an operation and needed a part of my scalp shaved. The hair at the scar is regrowing but I'd like to give it some help. I don't like wearing false hair and would like to do what I can to encourage the hair to grow out of my own head. What if I just use the pen on it's own? Do you think I'll see results?
    I don't know why I'm anxious about doing this... but I am.

      You can visit hairliciously.com and go to the microneedling 101 tab. On the bottom of the page, I have a couple videos demonstrating how to use it. You can wash the scalp after and apply minox 12 to 24 hrs later.

    Are you sure the needles actually go up and down instead of merely vibrating? I've heard that it simply vibrates.

    Hey man, I'm between about a Norwood 2-3. Do you have any idea whether using Minoxidil twice daily plus using a dermapen or roller in the bald areas (temples) and where my original hair line used to sit will regrow if there aren't any visible vellus hairs there?
    I've seen you mention in some other videos that there seems to be better regrowth results when used on diffuse thinning areas, but where my hair has receded it's more or less just skin now... I think. There may be tiny vellus hairs but I can't tell.

    Which is better results on its own, just using minoxidil or just using derma pen.

      I'd do both. But studies show microneedling > minoxidil. Also, no sides!

    Hello. I just purchased the pen. Quick question. Why is it bad to use minoxidil right after Derma-rolling? Thank you!

    • @hairliciously
      @hairliciously  5 років тому +2

      Hey bud, thanks. It's not per say bad, but its because some experience side effects if they use it right after micro needling since the minoxidil gets absorbed systematically. Its preferable to wait at least 12 hours before applying minoxidil. You can always email me at hairliciously@gmail.com!

    I microneedle every 10 days, doing this as well as sleeping without a pillow has completely stopped my shedding and itchiness. Guys don’t overlook sleeping without a pillow. You wake up with an engorged scalp.

      Don't think its the fact that the pillow is absent as much as that its one with natural stuffing like cotton and is cleaned regularly.

    Why do you say not to use more than twice weekly? Also how do you know what size needles to get and how to set it? Does it work on female hair loss as well and if you use alone and no minoxidil or anything? Did you say it can be used on the face as well and if so what size needles and what setting?

    Does microneedling works for female hair loss ? What is the different between 192 titanum roller and 3 bundle roller ?

    • @hairliciously
      @hairliciously  5 років тому +2

      Yes it does. The 3 bundle means it has 3 packs. The titanium version is more durable and lasts longer than the medical grade stainless steel.

    So I put a .25mm derma roller to my scalp last week, and it left me with a bald spot. I have pretty thick hair on the top of my head and only wanted to maintain what I had, but now it's caused a pretty significant problem. Is hair loss with micro-needling normal? Think it will grow back? Really would appreciate a response.
