Anyone else find it odd how many of the “usual suspects” aren’t in Endymion anymore? No LW, Roots of Music, McD 35, etc. I guess NOMTOC competes for bands, as well as Tucks continuing to rise in profile in terms of what bands march in it... Good lineup of bands in this year’s Endymion, don’t get me wrong, just a very strange one in many respects.
So when that happened the drum major s were confused too I did not know what was going on it just happened I was talking to the drum majors to see if they knew what happened but they did not know this is what Megel said” DONT STOP MOVING KEEP GOING’ the drum majors were pissed because the was moving and they went back and then went forward again
Talladega stopped deserving the shit they get years ago. Are they patterned after Southern? Sure. Is that a bad thing? No, not really, given that they’re too new to really have their own identity.

Especially patterning yourself after a band that only plays at Pseudo Fortissimo, is even worse. You pick up that bad habit, then that means you pick up everything else they do, including horrible intonation, no balance, no color, very few dynamics and bad execution. And that’s just the good part.
I was there marching with the band and we had to go back because the parade stopped so the drum majors went back and then we went forward to catch up and we had to go through the crowd I was so confused so Megel comes and yells at the drum major to go forward and don’t stop so we had to rush the police car to GO because we where pushing everybody to move
Salmen HS’s uniforms are so ugly... nothing against the band themselves or anything, just that they’re dressed like radioactive bumblebee gladiators and it looks ridiculous. Wasn’t anything wrong with the old black uniforms either

Texas Southern actually has a somewhat collegiate sound now. But still very out of tune.
