TA Colton 16 it’s not that’s 100% a mangrove snapper a very popular inshore snapper. If your catching snapper close to shore it’s most likely a mangrove.
@@mattandrews8528 Nah, it has the tell tale white triangle under the eye and yellow tinged fins, 100% a small dog snapper. At that size they look like a cross between a mango and school master.
Thanks for all you do. Watching your videos in the time of the coronavirus is a great diversion from the day to day doldrums. I learn a lot from watching your techniques so keep up the good work!
thank you so much for your videos! you are definitely helping me rejuvenate my love for fishing. I am up in the Pacific Northwest with the different species, but I look forward to get me into some warm salt water someday. I need to buy a kayak, as soon as possible.
In miami the dinner key marina is full of large barracudas great light to medium tackle action spoons any shining lure will get crushing strikes!! Have fun !
Your videos are amazing quality and free of ads (except for the occasional 5 second one at the beginning). Please keep that up! Its also great how you don't list what you caught in the title. That makes every catch so much more exciting; its a mystery until its up at the boat.
Really awesome fishing video dude. Just enough good fishing to really enjoy your day and with variety added. Nice weather. Boat traffic didn’t seem too bad. These are helping me to get through this damn social isolation. Cheers. SoSoCal

Best part of the day: new notification popped-up and it's FishAholic new video! :D The first cuda part was excelent, that darn cam keeps overheating on the wrong moments! But the second one...... OH MY GOD, WHAT A RUSH!
Hi Mate ,@Fishaholic I am an old subscriber of yours, the best way to tackle these small brutes on the sharp oyster shells is to have a long Floro leader with FG knot ,and use a baitcaster where you put it in free spool as soon as the line touches the structure and you engage the drag back when you have a better angle .
Nice cuda! I always loved fishing in the canals.when were down there.never know what tour gonna catch.always gotta make sure your gear is always up to the job.i learned that the hard way a couple winters ago
Cuda´s are fine eating fish. Few bones and firm flesh. My favorite for Seviche. And Forget about Ciguatera, Cuda has been the fish I have caught most since the first one I caught when about 11 yrs old in early 1960´s. Spear and line and up to 40 lbs. Not a sick one ever
For that area those were pretty small Cudas but at least you were able to get something for dinner. There are some monster Cudas in the same area you were fishing trust me!!😎👍👍
Sweet video. Avid kayak fisherman in Tampa. Great save on the spooltek. Fo sho. Tied on a new lure and bam it's gone. Happens. Protect the jewels. Cudas and gar have no place in our laps. Lmao. Had one jump into yak on a river trip. Subscribing. Keep the vids coming. Tight lines bud.
if u keep a baby lighter or small torch in ur drybox its perfect for those voodoos n other plastics just hit it quick w that torch if its windy and stick it back✌🏻✌🏻
I'm here since ( south west FL.) 2013 and got over 3,000 miles on the water logged on my chart plotter. Guess what 90% of the fish are in the canals. Look for depth changes.
I have a quick question regarding the vudu shrimp. What color would you recommend to fish in Florida in fairly clear water? Also would you recommend scent or no scent? If I should use scent what scent would you recommend.
Bro that was a mangrove snapper, they eat the same stuff a sheepshead does, and live in the same spots. I've seen multiple videos of you calling them cubera
Hi from the UK - so great to see fishing totally unlike anything we have over here. I've watched your whole Florida series open-mouthed. What great and crazy sport! A quick question - what's your rod and reel setup? Definitely looks like something which could be just the thing for UK sea and freshwater pike spinning.
Nice size Barracuda bro, those fish are fast. Next time try a catch and cook of barracuda, a lot people say it's trash fish but for us, that fish is delicious🍽. Great video, keep it up and stay safe✌🏻
Thanks man yeah I’ve heard they are good eating. When I was in Nassau Bahamas catching them a few locals wanted them from me but I already threw them back. 🤷🏼♂️
@@FishAholicTV yeah bro, you can grill it or fried it. Prefer eat the smallest one, bigger it get, it could be bad to eat. The way to see if its good to eat, if the ants goes on it, then it's good to eat.
Hey man, if you ever make up to the Indian river lagoon again here in brevard county, I love Would love to take you out on my boat. Try to put you on your inshore slam, flipping docks and pitching live bait and artificials.
14:53: Life flashes before your eyes!
Good thing Fishing is here to keep us entertained through this tough time happy fishing 🎣
Dude I screamed oh Jesus when you dropped that cuda on your lap!

Adam Wolf agreed it’s a dog

Coronavirus sucks. At least we can still fish!
Some of us. Most of my beaches are closed, with the remaining ones to close soon, I imagine. Get out while you can.
Closing beaches is just plain stupid! Stay away from others sure but the beaches are big enough!

Beautiful video! Too bad for that cuda and first strike. I had some problems with gopro 7 but after installing update there were no problems anymore..
I'm thinking of buying a kayak and was wondering if you can take the same kayak and take it in fresh and salt water

Awsome catch bro as always. Be safe
Love your channel, man!
Thanks Scott!!🤙🏻
How to get circumcised by a fish 101 lol awesome video man!
great stuff bro but that was definatly a mangrove, dog snappers dont have those lines when smaller.
I bet half those fish around the docks are pets
Man you need a 360 for those tight canal turns!
You might want to consider putting a float on your boga grips...I've had mine ripped out of my hand a few times
14:53 be careful bro life is short 😅
Barracuda is a beast nice catch bro
14:53 my heart dropped
Love the rod and rill. Where’d you get your setup I need to upgrade from my $40 Walmart setup lol I’m ready to level up

Im moving down to fort pierce from maine in 2 weeks cant wait to catch some fish 🤙🤙
Haha that’s really cool you’ll be like a kid in a candy store. A ton of water ways and a lot to learn but it’ll be worth it in the end.🤙🏻
Cuda reminds me of northern pike and chain pickeral: they fight pretty well

Great ! I just had discover your channel , one more sub 🤘
what a beautiful barracuda
Wow im very like your rod❤❤
The virus situation in Jersey is pretty wild right now, but I can assure you the stripers do not have Corona.
Haha thanks for the update and that’s good. I don’t think I could survive without my Stripers 😂
I like the fishing rod, it is very good, recommended. In Indonesia there is no brand ... liveaway fishing rod 🙏🙏
fishing everywhere must be poppin right now, no people and boat traffic to jack up fishing spots.
Great vid bro!
running into puffers are always a pain because they bite off the end of your baits.
Sick fish dude
