A "disgusting twoleg den that's caging a series of strange animals" makes me think of a zoo, which makes me think the two who may have surprising ties to the Clans might be big cats like a lion and tiger for LionClan and TigerClan.
I had the same theory about the lion and tiger. But the only problem is that the blurb says the cats must help these creatures find their true home. And unless the book is going to completely abandon its basis in reality, I don't see how they could get a lion and tiger to Africa from Britain.

I keep thinking about what could this Twoleg den be and what could those creatures be, especially the two with ties to the Clans, and the wrong that goes back generations. I have a few theories: 1. The fox family the Clans chase out of Fourtrees in Battles of the Clans field guide. That's still canon as they are briefly mentioned in Graystripe's Vow. The Clans were a BIT evil, holding the cubs hostage basically if I remember it right, so it could be seen as wrong. And it would fit with this "horrible Twoleg den" bit; it could be a sort of illegal breeding center. A few years ago there was this place in Russia that bred domesticated foxes (mostly they bred them to not stink), so this could be something similar. 2. Beavers from The Fourth Apprentice/Badgers from the New Prophecy. Grouping those two together because I don't see either of them being kept in a Twoleg's den either for breeding or as exotic pets. But those two animal groups have been wronged, beavers didn't on purpose block the stream for the cats, they were just living there. And badgers LIVED around the lake for a long time, the Clans basically chased them out. 3. Sharptooth...'s babies? Could finally explain why there was a cougar running around UK (especially since Dawn of the Clans mentions multiple Sharptooths)... aaaand would be funny with Ivypool being a BIT of a cougar, heyo! ;p Seriously though, it would fit with the "horrible Twoleg's den" if this was exotic animal dealer. Although I'm not sure if killing Sharptooth could be considered as wrong in any way seeing how it hunted Tribe cats. Would be interesting if Crowfeather was part of the quest too... 4. Something completely unrelated to the past events we have seen, which will possibly be explained to us in the next Super Edition? Which I think is the most likely option. I USUALLY prefer when things tie up to past events we''ve already seen somehow, especially in such long-ass series (when in Doctor Who they had the Celestial Toymaker return after almost 60 years I was AMAZED^^), but if they plan to show us this "terrible wrong" in the next book I think this will be better. My only concern is WHEN it would take place. Around Dawn of the Clans I feel like would be WAY too long ago, they said "generations ago", considering how long ago DotC was I think it would be more accurate to describe it as "in the time of legends"; Dawn of the Clans should feel to the modern Clans how in Game of Thrones feel about the Age of Heroes (8000 years earlier). Of course, there is a LONG time unexplored between that and even just SkyClan leaving (my own fanfic takes place during that time due to how much creative freedom it gives), but that would mean brand new characters. I'm not sure if a single Super Edition would be enough for the readers to grow invested in their stories and this "wrong" they are committing. Maybe then it would be closer to the modern times, say, during Sunstar's leadership? That period of time is also greatly unexplored actually xD. Lastly, there's an issue of what those creatures could in the 4th scenario. You suggested large cats, but I feel like this would be "too big", especially when we would have to somehow tie it to the Clans wronging them in some way (we saw how well it worked for cats to fight a cougar, and it's not even a "large cat"). So I am thinking exotic, but smaller. Wildcat, lynx (one of Goldenflower's kits was Lynxkit - though I am pretty sure that's non canon name - sooo that would explain THAT)... and the option that would make the most sense, serval. Servals are not only sometimes kept as pets, but they can also breed with house cats to produce a savannah breed of cats; if they can breed with cats, I would assume they could understand each other? So that would explain how would the Clan cats understood that they "wronged them", as they would tell them. Also, I'd imagine that a serval would be seen by Clan cats as a member of LeopardClan, since they look a bit similar and Clan cats wouldn't know how big exactly a leopard would be, similarly how the Tribe saw Sharptooth as a lion that lost its mane. (BTW, if that turns out to be all true, I will be SLIGHTLY pissed, as that happens to be one of the plotlines in my own fanfic xD Years before my fic actually starts, there was a serval among the Clans once, seen as "last LeopardClan warrior", had babies with a Clan cat, and now there's a "large, unusually spotted golden she-cat" in RiverClan's nursery at the start of my fic ;p Ugh, I better have the elders mention the "last LeopardClan warrior" story bit soon, before Ivypool's book comes out, in case nobody believes I came up with this myself ^^;) In any case, it sounds like a very interesting story for this Super Edition, I can't wait to speculate more about it in the coming months^^ (Although of course I would prefer to read it already ;p) Also it's nice that the blurb didn't spoil ANYTHING for then next two books in the main series; can't help but fear when the 6th book blurb drops, why do they have to reveal them sooo early, the books come out 6 months apart! Think back to the first battle in dawn of the clans. Clear sky technically caused it to happen and caused the clans to become rivals to each other generations later after his passing, and Lion Heart mentioned leopardclan at Fire Paw's first gathering, Lion Clan and Tiger Clan were also mentioned in the 1st arc.
OMG I would LOVE it if whatever this is would turn out to be Clear Sky's fault xD Especially after the short story in the Ultimate Guide tried to redeem him a bit.

I believe it is more of a Fur Farm. Or something like that. Or something called a Backyard Zoo. Since people do actually own exotica animals in thei backyards as sort of pets. But not all of them keep big cats. Some keep smaller ones like Cougars, Lynxes, Caracals, Servals, Ocelots, Clouded Leopards or Bobcats. I personally want to hope they encounter Lynxes. Yeah Eurasian Lynxes aren't too common in the UK if at all, but they encounteres Cougars. So Lynxes and Bobcats are even more likely. Plus in Europe there is a cat called European Wildcat. It is a completely wild species of cat. In Poland we refer to it as żbik. From what I know Lynxes and Bobcats are closer related to house cats then Cougars, so maybe they will be able to communicate. Plus Lynxes, so far, have no reports of attacking and feeding off of house cats. Idk if Cougars do, but still Lynxes seem like wild cats that might be able to communicate and get along with domestic cats. And for finding their home, maybe they will encounter cubs that they have to return to their mother? Idk. But I SO hope they are Lynxes, or Bobcats.

The blurb confused me so much lol! I think the strange animals will be badgers because we've shown they can interact with cats. I also hope there's a bunch of background cats in the journey so we can get some new faces around!
