Today I wanted to show you guys a quick and easy way I figured out to get your face in the game, properly and easily. It's not perfect, but it also only takes about 5 minutes to go from start, to your face in the game, ready to be easily placed on a CAW. I hope this is helpful. Comment your feedback down below, tell me if you used my method to any success.

Glad it helps. I found other tutorials far too complicated for me personally. I'm not savvy with photoshop. So this worked best for me, super quick and painless. Didn't have to crop anything. Just picked a picture of me looking at the camera directly. That's it.

The one without eyes is genius because I personally have never been able to line up eyes when i mess around with the ingame face stuff so this was genius

I feel dumb now. I literally spend hours creating me and a friend in Photoshop and I tried this and it's so much easier and better...
Don't feel dumb. I spent hours and hours, year after year and I was never able to do it properly. This was a method I learned through trial and error. The hardest part was finding a free face swapper. I was thrilled that it's just a website and not an app you need. No subscription, no sign up. Just a limit of 6 per day. Which is more than enough for me. But I'm happy it helped. It's the first year I've been able to properly get my face in the game, and it doesn't look super off.
I’ve benen having this weird issue where the face/head upload doesn’t match up with the skin tones and i end having to make myself lighter in the game than i am in real life lol is there a way to fix that pre-upload so i can match the tones better?
Adjust the saturation or contrast of your photo? I had the issue when I had my lights on me the first time I tried without using the ai website. I was white as a ghost. So I'd try taking a different picture with less light blaring on your face. Or adjust your photo saturation or contrast or whatever until it's a tone you prefer. Then do the ai swap. Also picking a darker tone as a base image for the stretched face image (maybe pick someone other than the Adam Cole I used) that's a bit darker. That may also help.

how do you do this on mobile?
Same way exactly as I did it on the PC, minus the paint program. You can use any photo app on your phone to get rid of the eyes if you need to. Snapchat apparently has an option for exactly that if you need to get rid of the eyes. But that's not necessary, I just couldn't line up the eyes properly for my character.
The face swapping thing I used is a website (link in the description). Same with the 2k website you upload the images to the game with (link also in the description).

yooo i been looking and look since last night to find something that simple like this....and hell yeah this helped alot and thanks for the tip on how to do this without the need of photoshop cuz i dont really know on how to do all that stuff....but yeah this hepled amd ya gotta sub for that
Glad I could help man. I am not photoshop savvy myself. I never knew how to do this, and watching videos on it made it seem even more complicated. Once I figured this method out (through trial and error, I spent hours trying to find free face swapping apps before I stumbled onto this website) and was able to do it all on my phone the first time I tried it. I knew I had a winning formula on my hands. Had to share it. 👍
Nice tutorial but your photo is too bright. Turn down the exposure or whites if you’re using Photoshop. Wouldn’t hurt to matte it a bit either.
Appreciate it. But the whole point of the video was to be able to avoid photoshop, or other paint programs all together. They'll never turn out like your amazing creations, but it got the job done for me. 😁
@@Mr_Dubbs right, but there’s plenty of free apps you can use on your phone that have the same features and tools as Photoshop. That’s what I was trying to say. You can even just edit the exposure in your image gallery on your phone. Nothing fancy about my process.

Yeah, never use pictures of a tattoo that's on skin. Always have a clear background so it doesn't have a differing colour from the base skin colour.

I did it on my phone the first time, when I was testing things out. Just follow all the steps in the video. No app's used. Everything was a website. You can use snapchat or any photo editing app to remove the eyes if you end up needing to do that. Not everyone needs to remove the eyes, just made it easier for me personally.

So? I literally did this the first time on my phone. It doesn't matter what console your on. You can do this on all of them. When you go to the 2k uploader you just have to pick Playstation when you sign in so it uploads to that Community creations for you. That's it.

Ay my Andrade texture is on google! Nice!! And so is my Cathy Kelly!! I’ve been creating for 4 ish years now (no where near as good as guys like Defract, Kaula, iconic amongst others but way above average creator) and i DO NOT recommend making your face textures like that. It strips away so many details and don’t end up looking like the person you’re trying to make. Defracts tutorial is on here. Do his method instead. You can maybe get away with it for original CAWs but not for any irl wrestler or person.
Appreciate the suggestion my man. But this video is for the lamen like myself who can't be bothered with Photoshop and stuff like that. A super easy solution for people to be able to get their face in the game within minutes instead of hours. This is definitely not for seasoned creators who've already mastered the techniques for years. If it helps them too, then great. But yeah, this is for your average player who's not going to spend hours editing in a paint program.

Couldn't tell ya, I used it a total of 3x. Once to test to see if it would work the way I wanted it to, a second time to make the first video. A 3rd time to make a video showing how to do it all from a mobile device. I've had no issues with it, but I have no affiliation with the website at all. So use it at your own risk/discretion.

Earned a sub with this one. I made a pretty good CAW of myself in years past, but it was a pain in the butt as I'm not really photo editor savvy. This made the process much simpler.

Last year they had a scan feature like mlb the show what happened this year? The faces never look right now!?
I didn't play last year, but this was the first year I ever found a way to put my face as one of those nightmare images with the flattened face to paste over CAWs. Worked great for me with minimal effort. Which is why I made the video, as I'd never been able to get it right before.

Great tutorial, I added my scan to the website and downloaded it from the image manager. When I go to "face photo capture" it only shows the "face photo"...doesn't have the "downloaded"
Means you didn't upload it as a photo capture and instead uploaded it as something else. You can confirm this by going to logo's on your pants or shirts, I bet you find your face as a custom logo, instead of a face capture.

Glad it helped. I kept having issues with the eyes as well. As you can tell by all my test photos. Lol. Removing them and leaving them clear left an outline I didn't like, so I coloured them in. Just used the colour picker and picked a colour close to where the eyes were.

I don't know, I only tried it with myself. Give them both a shot and see what happens. 2k themselves have these weird face templates in the game this year, I just was unable to find a PNG quickly of them so I just looked them up myself and picked the Adam Cole based on the skin tone. Trial and error my friend.

When I follow the video and try to add my face onto the texture and hit process it doesn’t change at all. It says it’s done but it’s the same exact texture and not my face
Try a different picture. Maybe it's not identifying a face from the picture you're using or something. I also have a tutorial of me doing it strictly from my phone, without using a PC at all. You could try that too.

You can use any photo editor you have on your phone or tablet. I was recommended snapchat, as they have an eye removing option? Apparently, it's really good. This was feedback from one viewer.

Painting of the face? Like the template you want is really any that look good to you. I used the Adam Cole that was there, as it was the first thing that came up when I searched it. You can really use any.

It's in the video. You can really use anything. On a mobile phone or on a PC. But I used paint dot net. It's not a website it's a program. It's free, you can donate to them if you like, but it is completely free.

Is there a way to do this with out using there servers? An offline way? If not, thats fine... I'm just thinking for down the line when the servers go off cuz how 2k seems to have thr mentality of "soon as new one drops, old ones deleted".
To upload to the game, you do need the servers unfortunately.

Don't know what you mean by local on the xbox. Were you able to download the image from your images on community creations? If the answer is yes, then you didn't upload ot as a face texture, which is an easy fix. Just go upload the image again, make sure you click on face texture or whatever it's labeled as. If it's not showing up in your images in community creations when you go over there. Then it's likely you didn't upload it properly, be it to the correct console or at all. Hope that helps.

I tried this method out and the AI either didn't recognise a face on the template or didn't change a dang thing. :(
Probably didn't recognize the face photo you used. Try one with better lighting maybe? And make sure whatever you used as the the template, is on the right side, not the left side. As the right side is what you're swapping onto.

I don't know what image editing software comes with your phone. If there's a colour picker, just pick a colour close to the eyes and cover them with that. I used two different colours, one on each eye, based on the shadows of the picture.

I hope this works for other people. But what I found to help me get my skin tone right I just played with filters till I got my skin tone right before I uploaded the face texture.
You can pick a skin tone from the colour picker once you've put your face scan on. You can literally choose any colour from anywhere on your face once it's on.
Not looks good, honestly
If it doesn't help you, don't use it. It helped me, I've never been able to come close to putting my face in the game. I spent hours trying before trying it this way. This took me 5 minutes and did a better job than I could do in hrs. Feel free to watch my live stream of me trying to do it before I figured this out. It was baaad. Lol

They should’ve done the face scan like how they have it on NBA2k app. A lot easier and the results are much better than WWE2k.

I uploaded my image and downloaded it into my local file but it is not appearing when I go to create a custom superstar and into the face photo capture. Help!
Make sure you're uploading to the correct console on the 2k page. Then make sure you're choosing face capture 512x512. Make sure your image dimensions you're uploading are in those dimensions. I saved mine as a PNG. Not sure if that matters. Then after you've gone to community creations, you download it to the console. Go into the CAW and it's in face capture, tab over from the 4-5 default ones they show, over to the custom images tab, and it should be there. Hope this helps. 👍

No problem. I've tried for years, but this option only really became possible in the last year or two. With the advancement of free Ai stuff, so many cool things can be done. If you could upload your own theme music, I've found really cool, free Ai music tools too. Anyways, I'm happy it helped. 👍

@@juggalo450 I appreciate that. And yeah, I use Ai wherever I can to help with things. I made my own theme music for the channel with it, as well as other royalty free songs to play during streams. I'm personally eager to see how video games are able to implement some form of Ai, for dynamic story mode dialogues, or things like that. Or generative maps, or enemy types?
I heard GTA 6 is implementing something for the buildings. As they want like every building in game to be enterable or something? So they'll have something similar to generate the rooms as you enter them? I thought that sounded pretty neat.
This is a W thanks for the tip. Making my own unique Japanese female wrestler caws. Then taking in game photos using dream by wombo and face app to create real looking custom renders based on screen shots of the caw in game. This is helpful thank you!
I'm so happy it's helping so many people. It took me so long researching how to do it, and then I found this simple solution. So I figured I had to share it. It can even be done with just a phone for people without a PC which is nice.
Something is wrong when I do this. The Template remains exactly the same after i convert. What am I doing wrong?
Whatever face you're using as a template goes on the right side (where the Wonder woman was) and then your picture has to go on the left. Then hit convert and wait for it. If it's not working, try using a different photo of yourself?

Have you ever uploaded anything to community creations before? You do it the same way. Make sure your image is saved as a 512x512 (I don't know if it makes a difference). Make sure when you goto the 2k uploader page, you're logging into the console you're going to download on (as my xbox uploads didn't appear in my Steam version and vice versa. I had to do them both separately for each platform). Then choose the proper image type to upload (face scan) then in community creations once you uploaded successfully, go over to the images tab next to uploads (do not go into downloads, as that's regular CC not your custom images), and they should be there.

@Mr_Dubbs um a console does not have a face swapper and mostly the apps is not even on console
So you're saying you access all of the internet, solely through your console? Because again, no app was ever used, just website's as mentioned in the video, links in the description. But even if you're suggesting you don't have access to any device other than a console to utilize the internet, I believe you could still do everything, except, I'm unsure if you can save or store your own images to a console. So how you'd upload a picture of yourself would be on you. As if you only use your console to access the internet, you'd know better than I.

How does it look in cinematic? Do your cheeks blink and mustache open close to talk? It’s really hard to get things to line up and look good in these games.
Not going to lie, you can see in my MyRise video that when talking, my mouth looks a little off. As if some of the image went into the mouth. I'm not sure if this is the case for all CAWs with face images uploaded or what? But otherwise. Looks solid enough for me. If I was a better CAW creator, I would have altered the face structure and all of that. But I'm not. This tutorial was made for the lamen like myself. Those who might not be great at recreating real wrestlers in game, but want their own face in there. Quickly and painlessly. For that, I found this worked incredibly well.
If this makes putting faces in there for real creators who make all the amazing CAWs of real wrestlers faster and easier. Then that's a bonus. But they already know how to do all of this, probably better than how I did it. But if not, it's quick, it's easy, and it's made for everyone.

I was able to create and download my face template into the game but it doesn't let me select the download tab when creating a wrestler and trying to apply the face image so I can't select it (Xbox xs)
Ohhhh I see. I didn't select FACE PHOTO 512X512 when I uploaded. I just selected 512x512

You have to download it into your game. Goto community creations, tab over to images and download it. Then in CAW you have to goto face texture and tab over to custom images
I did everything you said to do here, but after I downloaded my face scan off of the image manager, it doesn't show up as a face scan option. Anyone else having this issue?
It's because you didn't upload it as a face capture image. You uploaded it as something else.
no matter how hard i try i can never get this done right lol 2k16 was only time i managed get my own face in there successfully lol
I mean this method made it easy for me. I just couldn't line up the eyes, which is why I got rid of them. But I'm also not good with the face morphing stuff. So I dunno what to suggest to you if this didn't help.

Thank you for the valuable info. Quick question- why do you need to take out the eyes in the texture ?
You don't. I just personally couldn't get them to line up properly. So it was easier for me to take them out. Leaving them clear background also left a ring when recolouring my skin in game. So I filled in a colour with a colour picker, close to the eyes, worked like a charm for me.
The only problem I see is that the skin color come from the template of Adam Cole and not your photo. So the skin color in game isn't true to how you look.
You definitely didn't watch the live stream when I tried just using a normal picture of myself. The lighting made me whiter than Sheamus. Lol. This is a million times better.

I can’t seem to do 512x512 pixels. I input 512 and gives me 506 vertical automatically
That's likely because you have maintain aspect ratio checked. You have to uncheck that. As whatever image you used didn't have the same dimension width and vertical. So your image may get stretched a little.
