I love how you don’t have us watch all the boring stuff that you have too! The fact that you do gradual skips is a nice refresh rather getting drowned out just watching! Thanks for keeping it entertaining.
Hey Pravus Aquatic farmhouse just needs stairs so the farmers can get into the river. And cattail is used for food as well but you need to use the gristmill. So it’s harder to make
I'm reasonably certain that your beavers can plant the aquatic crops in that depth but they were lacking a ramp to get down into the river to begin planting. Just speculation but maybe give that a try 😉
Correct. Aquatic plants can be planted in water less that 1 square high (from experience, keeping the water level at exactly 1 or slightly over is too deep for them to grow). And with how the game pathing works, you are correct in that they need stairs to enter the river even if they swim on top of the water; the game still needs a ground route for their pathfinding.
Was looking at this the other day on steam. May pick it up one day, and it had a kickass trailer. Should be pretty damn cool, I am excited to watch you explore this game.
Hey Pravus, love the fact that you're playing this. Just a heads up, fulfilling the beavers needs gives them stat modifiers such as life expectancy , carrying speed etc. Just hover over the nutrition tool tips. :D
In my current playthrough, gatherers absolutely can gather chestnuts. You may be right about sap and resin, I haven't gotten that far yet. But, Chestnut Trees are definitely gatherers.
Pravus you have to build stairs under water to get to their aquatic plants they are kinda cute when they swim but it is a good series he can go beyond out imagination
yaknow, we have alot of post apocalyptic games, but i would love to see a game that takes place DURING the apocalypse, where cities have not completely collapsed and rotted yet and humans are still adjusting to their evolution or extinction
The reason I always use floodgates in the early game are so that you can drop the blocked water level, allowing water wheels to make more power than they would have otherwise, without having to build levees
Yeah, water speed for the waterwheels takes a bit of getting used to, as well as the fact that they say waterwheels slow down flow, so you can't just fill a river with waterwheels for 10k HP anymore. I've also noticed that water seems to move faster in the center of the flow, making the ones at the very edges not as efficient, annoyingly. I've yet to work out methods of maximizing consistently solid water speed though. Also, word of advice, be careful trying to use windmills for power. On paper they sound like a nice way to keep power going during a drought, but as water speed equal power, wind speed equals power. There's no way to gauge wind speed, so most days you'll be getting half of what the "max" states and some days the wind will be dead for 0 power generation.
I'm not sure if it was address but I wonder if you could have busted down and put a dam where that little insert is beside the camp to give you enough water to survive the drought
Make sure you set up a good water and food supply/storage iirc the game hits you with an event that punishes you for not having a good stockpile not too long in
Hallo. I hope you can help me. I'm struggling with the second district making. I have all the buildings and routes, but I can't get the beavers to work on that routes. Any advice, please? Much appreciated.
Pravus do you see the pit beside your carrots farm you can open it up and fill it with water so the land get more green ( i definitely know the word just do not know how to spell it ) so yah you will have to destroy the natural dam
Hey, I know that I'm kinda early, but I have a community request. You see I've been trying to get Pravus to play my Plague Inc. custom scenario called the " ULTIMATE TROLL PLAGUE" for a really long time. But the only way to do that is to get a Discord. The problem is my family is really old school about tech stuff and won't let me get a friggin Discord! The fact that I have a UA-cam account is amazing! I mean we still used, get this, flip phones, until the very end of 2017! I am really begging at this point for someone, anyone, to PLEASE ask Pravus on there Discord to play my "ULTIMATE TROLL PLAGUE" with the "exactlyish2" username. It has even mote trolls then the "indigofenix" version of "Troll Plague."
if you are going to make a game about beaver civilization, atleast it should start in a lake or pound or river. Beavers always live surrounded by water. The whole reason they build dams, is to increase the water level so that they can axpand. Beavers will never build a nest outside of water. So the game already has it wrong from the start: Its building should be in water but clearly it is not. So those cannot be beavers.
No Pravus, you need to build stairs to the water so they can access it.
this.
yes.
pravus must see.
yes.
spadderdock for the blood god.
I was going to point out the same thing! Admittedly many other youtubers didn’t know that it was necessary though.
I was sure that Pravus would had known that he would had needed to use stairs. I just don't know what to think anymore.
Yeeeees
I wanted to say this but had to make sure someone already said it. (Yeah I know. I'm two weeks late)
About the water wheel. The game actually got waterphysics such as speed of the water. So you want your water wheels the best possible speed.
I'd say the world was pretty damaged and hostile long before humans came on the scene.
I was really hoping you’d make a timberborn series. You’ve absolutely made my day
same!
Completely agree! Thanks Pravus 🙏
Totally agreed!!!
definitely
I love how you don’t have us watch all the boring stuff that you have too! The fact that you do gradual skips is a nice refresh rather getting drowned out just watching! Thanks for keeping it entertaining.
I guess humans finally took our own advice, and just leave it to beaver
Pro-tip: build stairs down to the water so the beavers can access the water.
Hey Pravus
Aquatic farmhouse just needs stairs so the farmers can get into the river.
And cattail is used for food as well but you need to use the gristmill.
So it’s harder to make
I'm reasonably certain that your beavers can plant the aquatic crops in that depth but they were lacking a ramp to get down into the river to begin planting. Just speculation but maybe give that a try 😉
This is exactly what he's doing wrong. Watch anyone else and they have no problem planting aquatic plants, and they all build stairs into the water
Yes, he needs to give them stairs to get down to the level of the bottom of the pond to plant.
Correct. Aquatic plants can be planted in water less that 1 square high (from experience, keeping the water level at exactly 1 or slightly over is too deep for them to grow). And with how the game pathing works, you are correct in that they need stairs to enter the river even if they swim on top of the water; the game still needs a ground route for their pathfinding.
you can build and attach multiple waterwheels and wind turbines together and build massive power line
Welcome to Timberborners. The series where we draw the best shapes and bridges.
RCE!
FYI for Pravus. The gather flag can gather other things that aren’t berries. Namely maple syrup, chestnuts and sap. However it’s a mid game thing
A gather's flag can gather chestnuts, but it can't gather maple syrup, or pine resin. To gather the resin and syrup, you need a tappers shack.
A baby beaver is called a ‘kit’. 😄
Haha I was looking for this comment
"I am hardworking and industrious"
Not long after that:
"I am just a smidge lazy"
Love the irony :)
the beavers have picked up the mantle of responsibility
jessus , BUILD THE BLOODY STAIRS to alow the beabers to get into the watter.
Your beavers need access to the water to plant spadderdock so build stairs into the water
Gatherer flags are also used to gather resources from certain trees. Chestnuts from Chestnut Trees. Sap from Maple Trees. Resin from Pine Trees.
Nope it's the Tapper that gathers from Tree's, Gatherers get either get Berries, Wood and metal depending on on the gatherer
In my current playthrough, gatherers absolutely can gather chestnuts. You may be right about sap and resin, I haven't gotten that far yet. But, Chestnut Trees are definitely gatherers.
@@ellaser93 you might be right about the Chestnuts, Sap and Resin is definitely Tapper though... i think, damn now i can't remember lol
Finally! A full series, i wander how much lore does the game have?
Humanity is dead and beavers want to survive. That’s it
Unless you follow the series by Katherine of Sky. Then the game has LOTS of lore :)
The beavers wouldn't have been taken over if it wasn't for your grave mismanagement of Basenji.
It should have been maxed difficulty just because you're just that badass.
Great new series! But could you record some FTL in the future, please?
Ah those busy little beavers 🤣🤣
Yes!!!!!! I was hoping you would do a series on this game!
this series looks epic. LONG LIVE THE BEAVER!
Yes, finally timberborn
Makes you wonder what other animals could be like.
Bravo! For some reason, I like your sentient beavers...
Pravus you need to use stairs so the beavers can get into the water.
Great start
STAIRS IS LIFE!
Also Beavers can Swim! Yup! that is a thing!
Beavers do not need paths because they build in water, they swim from building to building. So these patys are also something that should not exist
Haha timberborn was a shirt substitute for surviving mars :D had some hours in it. But Mars is a different calibre
i have been waiting for you to play this game
he dosent realize that beavers need stairs
Pravus can't spare the beavers from his gosh dang roads! /s
Praise Pravus
I Object! your spirit animal is the Magpie. Or that treasur seaking thing from harry shotter.
I would love to see more...
Yo this is such a cool game concept
10:24 - horse? it should be in beaver power!
FINALLY!!!!!
Love it!
Great video pravus I hope you do make more
He put a waterwheel perpendicular to the water lollol
Pravus you have to build stairs under water to get to their aquatic plants they are kinda cute when they swim but it is a good series he can go beyond out imagination
Is this age of empires like? I'm definitely downloading this.
You need stars to allow them to walk in water
You can destroy the brush at the entrance to the dry inlet and gain some free irrigated area
Cattail roots are edible, even for humans. :)
beating their basic needs ... never thought efficiency can be achived by beating beavers :D
yaknow, we have alot of post apocalyptic games, but i would love to see a game that takes place DURING the apocalypse, where cities have not completely collapsed and rotted yet and humans are still adjusting to their evolution or extinction

WOW! This was fun and interesting!
HYPE
It's Beaver time
Can you add multipe water wheels and is there a transmission that goes up a level?
Praise Pravus!
Just in case you haven't found an answer yet, you can do both of those, though the vertical power needs research I believe
You just needed to put a path in the river btw! That way the beavers can acces te spadderdock, they just had no means to reaching the crops
We noticed the cough edit, very nice.
Oh..OH OH GOD NO PLEA- I Guess wom- I mean ''beavers'' do rule the earth
Beavers can walk through the water
Beavers can swim now build stairs into the water.
YES
You don't need shallow water you just need to build stairs
I want you to destroy the berrier next to the town. It will open up another area of water
yay beavers!
If only Beavers where this sentient, that would be really cool
try stairs they really good for getting beavers into the water
Watching to see if I want to get this game, seems pretty interesting.
i named my beaver town Damnation....badumtssh
lul, you need to build stairs into the water... how else are the beavers gonna get back up once they´ve jumped into the water?
Timberpunk!!!!!
Hell, you are a great explainer, I kind of new how the game worked, but this video is so explanatory! You should be a teacher
I'm not sure if it was address but I wonder if you could have busted down and put a dam where that little insert is beside the camp to give you enough water to survive the drought
It's expensive watching this channel, I always want to buy the games pravus plays...
A baby beaver is called a kit.
YEAAWH TIMBERBORN YEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAH
Baby beavers are called *kits* according to google
I don't know what a baby beaver is called, but it SHOULD be a damling.
U need stairs into the water to plant aquatic plants
Make sure you set up a good water and food supply/storage iirc the game hits you with an event that punishes you for not having a good stockpile not too long in
Hallo. I hope you can help me. I'm struggling with the second district making. I have all the buildings and routes, but I can't get the beavers to work on that routes. Any advice, please? Much appreciated.
More plz
I believe baby beavers are called either kits or pups.
Beavers take OSHA regulations very seriously.
Kits, baby beavers are called kits.
like this, i will try to to make similar content in my language portuguese
Pravus do you see the pit beside your carrots farm you can open it up and fill it with water so the land get more green ( i definitely know the word just do not know how to spell it ) so yah you will have to destroy the natural dam
You're going to end up sinking so much time into this game.
Beaver...IMPERIALISM!!!!!!!

Uhm.... Do I just make overly complex Apartments?
Baby beavers are called Kits
Alexa, play Primus "Wynona's Big Brown Beaver". :p
This is a very good game, done some plays myself. The district mechanic was a killjoy for me and I stopped playing.
Baby beavers are called kits.
Wish there was more water manipulation in this game
baby beavers are called kits
Hold on, as cute as this game is... Couldn't I just play The Settlers from Bluebyte who have been making these tops of games for years and better?

Let's freaking goo[ooo!
