19:50 "2 adults became children"
Man that solar flare really did a number on us.
That's actually the "I haven't slept properly in months because of my newborn son" effect
I was about to comment this as well. Where do i sign up for this change? I also want to be a child again :D
Pog
Lmfao what I was going to say also 😂
Spoonerism.
For a post-apocalyptic game, this looks really beautiful. This looks like a really fun game.
As I have said before, can't wait for this game to mix up with Surviving the Aftermath and Endzone in my memory into a game that I'll be recalling a decade later, but which never existed 😅
why not add something like frostpunk as dlc for that nonexistant game?
I remember that too! Survive: the End Cycle. Beat years of my life 😂
@@yuridhjeeyn9034I can see it now!
19:50 "Two adults became children as well." -Pravus
So they have Benjamin Button Syndrome?
Technical Boop Camp, Right On dawg. 27:40
15:40 Fun fact
"Björk" means Birch in Swedish, So the settlement being named "New Birch" is kind off on brand.
The Messenger ping at 2:47 had everybody checking their phones
Time for an another apocalyptic colony sim, les go!
Been looking forward this one for a while now, any post apocalyptic city builder that gets you past 'scrap huts' and actually sees you rebuild some semblance of civilization (Like Endzone did) is glorious.
You REALLY can see the Frostpunk influence, almost too heavily. ;P
But hey, if its done right, thats wonderful.
I really love the aesthetic. As people really build nice new homes, as soon as they can. Not living in the remnants and debris of the old world. That's kinda new.
And as much as I like the Fallout-post-apocalypse look - this feels more ... realistic. If that's the right word.
Also DieselPunk is a nice change of pace from the usual Steam Punk. Gameplay seems so far so good... nothing entirely new, but nicely executed. So I for my part really would appreciate a longer series with that game.
There's a lot that seems good so far, from the background music, to the general appearance of the game (we'll see about that "oil period" you talked about, hopefully!) and the catastrophes adding some degree of unknown. I do fear for a few parts though, namely it seems like everything is linked together with no redundancy, which, while it seems good, means that there are less options for how to play the game in different ways and what to optimise. You need X for Y, and you need Y for Z. Hopefully the next few videos will help with giving the player more of an option on how to specialize, considering this is only the very beginning
I loved the first episode and really wouldn't mind seeing this expand beyond a 3 episode sponsorship into a full series!
I can only like it once. I've been looking forward to a spiritual successor to Frost Punk, and this looks good!
Frostpunk 2's trailer just dropped!
Are you going to do a video on it, loved your videos on the first game, it's how I became a fan of you!
Please do make it a longer series. I already love this!
i like how the picture for steppe has a bunch of trees then says "an environment that lacks trees" lol
I think you should keep pushing it Pravus! Love when you do these types of games. Also love the new outro!
Looks like a big learning curve but a lot of fun too.
So far this looks absolutely amazing! I am fully invested in a full series of this game.
Praise Pravus! Surely Neu Björk will become a shining of civilization with him at the helm!
Looks a lot like Surviving the Aftermath.
Ixion, New Cycle, and Surviving the Aftermath were all inspired by Frostpunk, it seems to me. New Cycle seems the most similar to Frostpunk because of the efficiency, morale, and morality choice stuff, and Surviving the Aftermath is a bit more focused on resource-management by the looks of it (haven't actually played that one yet though).
I'm really glad Frostpunk ushered in this genre of survival simulation city-builder games, because it's my favorite genre of game. Personally, I would like to see a game very much like Frostpunk, but instead of it being freezing, it's very hot. Not quite the same as this solar-flare that New Cycle has, but more like where you have to create technology to cool your civilization down, similar to the heat generator in Frostpunk. That would be pretty cool, imo.
I'm already excited for what a full series could be for this. I'm saying it early, do a full series Pravus!
wow, the new music at the end really surprised me xD
Very cool, I love everything that has elements of Frostpunk!
this game fucks
so so good
40 different resources seems like way too much. That’s gonna be a management nightmare to try and be on top of everything. 😮
looks like anno 1800 which is my favorite city building game might just try this too
I like a lot of things in this game. the hidden research jumps out. Also maybe the population might grow a bit faster building extra housing> Like this so far.
I would love to see this game as a series, it would be a good edition to the channel.
Really hope this series continues into the late game reminds me so much of banished
I am going to point out something huge this developer has done with this game that too few city builders do. The layers are blended. The land the structures are on. The borders of the road.
All feathered into the textures of the land. Might seem odd, but is first thing I noticed.
I've been waiting for you to play this game! Please do a whole playthrough 😊
19:50
Alzhiemers is a such a cruel condition.
Man, can't wait for Frostpunk 2 but this game will attune to my Boredom, love the vid and series.
There are other games in the world besides Frost Punk 2 and this game. I'm sure, out of the literally 10s of thousands of games that you could find something to do other than post online about "how freaking bored" you are.
*insert gif of guy foaming at mouth from Atla*
I'm really glad you're playing this game. Ive been following it for a little while and it looks like so much fun.
Showing my support, etc.
I really enjoyed watching your frost punk videos, this may scratch that itch
Wow, deliberately keeping the tutorial active. Rare choice these days. I do like how this game handles roads; as buildings are static sizes that conform to 90 degree angles, making roads on a grid so that everything fits is helpful. But if you have portions of your settlement apart from a grid, you can have something more organic, and quite possibly more cost efficient than grid roads. Seems like a game with a lot of granular tweaking to reach peak efficiency, as well as choices (like allowing for bartering) that will permanently affect your colony.
This looks awesome as heck!!
>we love mushrom soup!
Yes we are. It's better than sawdust soup at least.
The UI reminds of Frostpunk in the best way, I loved that game
I like the different layers for each resource
I can't wait for full series on release!
Bless the wonderful and majestic Bjork! Heart
Loving this, will be buying it as soon as i can!
Please keep playing this. I like this gameplay lol
Looks freaking amazing!!
looks incredible. i want to see more
Feels like frost punk but less restricted. Cool might look into this.
I would love to see more of this! Especially the other maps. I get completely lost after like cycle 4 or 5 because there's SO MUCH to do and the stone on the map disappears, so I struggle with building the mines and enough people and UGH. Please Lord Pravus, guide me.
I love this game so far, please make it into a long play!
This looks so great!
Love this video
I like that the production reports and resorce allocation feel like frost punk. Many of these games do give a snapshot of produced/consumed for goods.
looks like a cool game, definitely gonna check it out
18:22
I saw Caesar 3 style storage and bought the game immediately. Let's check it out!
We've come a long way since plague inc :)
Zeus says no to your soup
Great, more of this!
It's a beautiful game. Looking forward to more videos.
Looks pretty good, i would watch a longer series
To be fair a massive solar flare is the most likely scenario I’ve seen from games like this
Looks good I hope we'll see more of it 🙂
Interesting concept. Just as a fun fact. Most engineers in major infrastructure field already know dangers of solar flares and have safeguards to prevent damage/destruction to our electricity grid, etc… I’m not sure about small things like computers, phones, etc… but at least we’ll have power.
Love your videos man
Everything looks so similar to Frostpunk. Weird it's not made by the same studio.
19:52 "oh and 2 adults just became children." uh i hope 2 people didn't just age backwards.
I want to see more about this game, sound interesting
Looks interesting might get
this is good
More of this plz
Let the cycle begin
That scream, "Naaah, the soup kitchen !!", lol.
The video editing has been great recently! I wonder if it has anything to do with recent work hirings.....I think you made the correct choice there. :)
Cheers and Praise the Heir!
One update(patch) this game really needs on day 1 is the quest requirements not recognizing task you already accomplished before the quest was given.
Oh, also, the progress RESET when you save and load the game, too.
Each of them is a minor annoyance, but it builds up rather quickly...
Oh, you built houses before we asked? Build it again.
Oh, you built academy before we asked? Build it again.
Oh, you already have 5000 water and 1200 food in your storage? But who told you to do that? I will only count the resource you collect from now on.
I love kale 😢
Praise Ainyaly, the Heir, and Gimli!
Looks cool
very nice
Nice!, just tell the devs the fire effect in the buildings is weird to say the least
That's an interesting outro
Are those like, moc telephone poles along the roads because that’s what roads have and their purpose is forgotten, cargo-cult like? If so, nice detail from the devs
This feels like an opposite frost punk, seems fun
How exactly is it "opposite frost punk"? They still have winter in this game.
@@Dyanosis Oh I wasn't aware that there was winter! Ty
As for why I said that it's an opposite it was simply an assumption that the solar flare would act similarly to the one in the Labyrinth series.
Fiery, desert apocalyptic event kind of thing :D
great video
looks like a great game, please play it more
This kinda reality is more possible than you may think.
I hope you continue and do a full play through.
#Praise_Pravus!
I would watch a longer series on this game.
i like what i see.i think i will buy it and play it after exam session.
cool game!
strong frostpunk vibes
The electricity requirement shouldn't be a requirement. It should be a bonus that increases the effect/efficiency of the building, depending on the building. There is nothing electricity does that isn't doable without.
Certainly not as a prerequisite for these early things, especially if the game is supposed to be 5 decades after
@@dcoffinh I'd say that even much of the later-game tech is still electricity-agnostic; steam or other forms of mechanical power (eg. water wheel) or hydraulic power more than suffice in such places if absolutely needed. Electricity is mostly a large-scale thing that can simplify some aspects of life and complicate others, just like any other fuel source.
Naming the settlement in a meadow Neu Björk makes me think this place is set up in Central Park.
Great game
16:30 actually Frostpunk 2 got a trailer out, and it seem that it will be too in diselpunk style
more more moooore
i don't normally comment - but i love all your content
More episodes please 🙏🙏🙏
I watched another UA-camr play this recently and wrote it off. Aatching your video, I'd definitely like to see more of the game done in your style!
Yeah, SplatterCatGaming played this and he was just complaining half the time and just talking non-stop. Gotten a little too big for his britches, me thinks. However, Pravus seems to actually try to enjoy a game now and then.
Lord Pravus! A new trailer for Frostpunk 2 has been release, QUICKLY
