Interesting build. It will be something to see when you get it running. 👍

Should be running by the end of the week. I have a half day tomorrow to work on it.

Cecil E Skinner would be proud of you modifying a cheaper sawmill to perform like a bigger, more expensive sawmill.

I look forward to seeing the results of the upgrade. I considered upgrading mine to a 25HP Kohler Command Pro

I should have a video up in a week or 2, all I have left to do is put on a drive belt and belt tensioner. Just waiting on it to get above 0 degrees outside.

Will be interesting to see how well the lift mechanism holds up to the bigger engine. Perhaps a title of "harbor freight sawmill engine modification" or "harbor freight sawmill engine conversion" would get a ton of views. At least with a cheaper sawmill like the HF mill, it isn't as risky doing such a conversion like it would be on my sawmill that costs twice as much.

Just curious why are you trying to reinvent the wheel I have one in the motor that comes on it is more than adequate what would your ideas just curious

I find the stock motor to be good for softwoods and small hardwoods. I have been cutting 16 to 20 inch ash and maple and it was just underpowered. With the new motor I can make the cut approximatly 2 to 3 times faster depending on the wood and if I have a good sharp blade. I would have gone with the 13hp predator for ease of instalation but this motor was bought and paid for.
