How does it feel with the lack of suspension? My main concerns are the turns, and lack of full speed; if I can keep up with my partner on his regular bike
It does have front suspension, and this is the fat tire version. So the bigger tires to help soak up some of the bumps. I have not had an issue with any jarring bumps, and you also can get a suspension seat post if you want an even smoother ride. Turn is not bad. You will get used to it pretty quick, but you're not going to want to turn sharp at full speed. Almost all brands of trikes top out at 15-16 mph for safety reasons. Bike path trails usually have a top speed of 15 mph and I dont think I would want to go faster than that on a trike.
