    Finally found a person that has natural curly hair and likes straightening it and won't judge for it. I have natural curls and while I love my hair very much, I also like straightening it, I believe you can have healthy hair while heat styling, it's just a matter of taking good care and using heat tools properly. New sub!!

      Yes I absolutely believe that as well! And yess! It’s your hair do what you like with it. No judgment from me 🙅🏽‍♀️ thanks so much for subbing 🖤🖤

      Thank you for this comment. This is what I needed to read. I’m stuck between buying quality products and style is once a week instead of taking care of my loose curls everyyyydaaay. It’s such a maintenance compared to blow dry it once.

      Exactly!! I still don’t understand why only black girls get judged just for blow drying their hair and using a straightening tool!! When most of women, all over the worlds do the same thing! They style it and no problem.

    Strong genetics! Also great to see someone who doesn't heat shame people on their natural hair. I use heat about daily and I always get comments not to because of damage but I care for my hair as well to prevent more damage.

      Not here for the shaming! It’s on your head so you do what you want with it 🙌🏽 especially that I’ve been able to grow and take care of mine while still using heat. I think everyone just finds what works for them and everyone’s hair is different. Thanks so much for watching 🖤

    Great video! I’ve been natural for four years, but have cut my hair several times. Now I’m thinking of growing it full force :). I have not straightened my hair yet. I am so scared my coils and curls will not bounce back -
    Question - what temp do you straighten your hair on ? And what is your texture ( fine, medium, course), what is your hair porosity ( high, medium or low ).
    I have medium to course, high porosity - 4a curls and coils. I love my texture - but would like to try straight styling during winter months - WITH OUT Heat damage - I pray -
    Would love your tips to my questions above -

    • @veronicahaney6005
      @veronicahaney6005 2 роки тому +1

      I have low porosity 4b/4c natural hair. I use the SheaMoisture Power Protein Treatment and the Raw Shea Butter Deep Moisture Treatment to revive my hair when I wash it after straightening, and I use a heat cap. Then I use the Chi Silk Infusion Revitalizing complex, the lottabody blow drying cream, the garnier fructis sleek and shine anti-frizz serum, and a heat protectant and put it in my hair. I also use a heat cap to make the products soak into my hair. Dont put any leave in or sheabutter or creams with humectants before straightening. and wrap nightly or do pin curls or flexi rods.

    • @veronicahaney6005
      @veronicahaney6005 2 роки тому +1

      also get a titanium iron if you have medium to coarse hair. I use a cheaper version of the babyliss titanium flat iron that I got for $50 and a black color, and I use like 420 degrees. I have medium to coarse strands also, but fine in the front

    Tip!!: do NOT put oil in directly before applying heat bc it literally cooks the oil on to your hair therefore increasing buildup and adds weird smell. If you do oil right after, hair is still warm to help absorb in cuticle but doesn’t burn oil into hair !!
