i once used hair clay on my hair while it was wet and blow dried it. it turned out pretty well actually! it helps if you find it hard to apply clay on dry hair

can already tell this series will be one of my favorites, I want to try the baxter of California clay pomade next, I usually go for a more formal side part combover and have fairly long hair on top and medium on the sides, would the clay pomade still provide a good hold and neat style?

Blackship by Flagship Pomade Co. makes my hair look the best and has amazing hold, but feels sticky in your hair. Baxter of California feels great in the hair, its not as greasy feeling, but the hold is a little weaker, but I think I'm gonna stick with it because overall it is pretty great

Is it “ok” to top an ob pomade with a matte paste(wb, of course)? And if so, is that how to do it..or other way around? Just curious, as i’m fine with the matte paste alone, but sometimes i like some additional tack on certain days an oil based is primarily used but seems to fall a bit limp on me? Thanks so much Robin👌

it's my first time hearing about clay. I'm using I think it's called putty. I forgot the brand. It's the one with the dragon. Anyways, his steps are exactly what I've been doing though there I don't let the putty vanish in my hand. I also don't try to apply it on the scalp as much as possible since I get pimples on the head, LOL. I'm going to try clay soon. Thank you!

I have fine wavy hair. When I apply hair clay or putty it feels like I am about to pull the hair stands out. How should the product feel in your hands? Mine dry up very quickly and feels kinda sticky as if the hold is doing its work but in my hands so I barely can get through my hair without feeling like I am about pull it all out.

Been thinking about getting my bf something to pep up his hair with maybe some texture, cuz he puts nothing on it ever. When he thinks "hair products", he thinks of the greaser look, which I let him know that there are different products that can do different things. He's a really low maintenance adventure guy, so I'm sure he would only want to do a one-step-and-go on his hair, but he seems up for trying something out. What would you recommend he try? I've been thinking clays or pastes, but am not sure. Thanks 😁
