Was on a trip to the Scilly Isles in the late 70`s on the Scillonian and the seas were REALLY rough. My dad told me that because of her flat hull it pitched and rolled a lot more (old sailor RN) . I remember seeing people sliding about all over the place and the stink of people throwing up. It was a great adventure to me, Last time I visited (2020) it was I think the very same ship but a lot calmer.
I bet lots of people laid flat on the floor....I know from experience!...and the thing is not to look around because if you see the other people being sick, you are done.!....A journey they will never forget.......
