One of the best caddy’s ever made...I still have mine at 286k miles and have abused the snot out of it and still just as strong as day one...the pearl white paint still pops like new...
Great video thanks and I would add that you could 3/4 fill the new oil filter just before attatching it so that there is some fresh oil for the engine to grab on the first start-up.
Nicely done. Best video and techniques. Would you know when I can get the aftermarket third brake light for the 2003 Escalade esv? Thank you. Much appreciated bb
JOE FORD DIY yeah, its always my go to oil filter tool lol. Unless I have to use the plier type oil filter tool, that one is good too. I bought it at Harbor Freight for that one.
Anthony Trujillo no, it's just a drain and refill, its pretty easy, make sure to use the bottle that they supply and squeeze the fluid in there or pump it into the differential.
what do I do to check it... when I check the oil the dip stick oil is just over the 5th dot but it is cold do I need to let it warm up a little first ??? and then check it after it has cycled through?? thank you in advance for your help...
You want to drain your oil and not over fill them. Make sure the oil level is below the 5th dot when warm up. Not cold. Once the oil is warm up, the oil expands.
+JIM ECKENRODE yes I know, the oil was hot so I used a rag, the latex glove is so that I don't get oil on my hands. Personal preference, as long as you get the job done, that's all that matters. :)

changing my own oil on my 02 Escalade.

+NutzAboutBolts are parts for these yr expensive or can i get them from a tahoe avalanche Silverado etc.?
@@marlonmalone6041 there literally mostly interchangeable
do you need the tool to remove the oil filter? or can you just unscrew it with your hand?
oil filter will be tight due to vacuum pressure. I would recommend getting the tool, it's the best tool out there.

its easier than what you think if you take the oil filter first and later the oil
why? very simple
hey man nice work. I have a question, do you need to change a drain plug seal or something?
No, the drain plug comes with a built in gasket seal.
@@NutzAboutBolts thanks! that's the v8 6.0 litters right? ty!
@@NutzAboutBolts oh yeah you said it's the 6.0 v8 sorry. thanks, nice video
Great Video! Is it hard to change the differential fluid?
Anthony Trujillo no, it's just a drain and refill, its pretty easy, make sure to use the bottle that they supply and squeeze the fluid in there or pump it into the differential.
Thanks for sharing! Where can I get an
oil filter tool to change mines?
you can buy it at any auto store. Make sure to get the exact type, the 3 prong oil filter tool is weak, this one has a stronger grip.
+NutzAboutBolts Thanks I appreciate it Bro!
NutzAboutBolts what kind of oil filter wrench did you use Im going to order it
I have a handed down 2000 escalade 350,000 miles ....don't know how it keeps going. The paint is decent. The inside trashed 👌
oil filter is bosch 3423? autozone says it wont fit and recommends 3332. please advise
+Phirum Meach It is Bosch 3332
what happens if the oil level is above the 5th dot will that cause you low pressure oil light to come on???
I have a 2006 esv escalade
Kimberly Duran if you have low oil level, it'll show low pressure.

My escalade is leaking oil on the right side of the engine, is that coming from the screw?
+Aldrin Flores can't tell what you're referring to, do you have a picture you can show me? you can go to our FB page and message me there.
@@NutzAboutBolts can you also help me figure out why I’m leaking oil?
Secret of 6.0 longevity easy to access oil filter.
where's the jack point for the escalade
+Wyo Boy The jacking points for the front is on the frame rails, the rears are the rear spring hangers and/or the rear differential.
+NutzAboutBolts Awesome! Thanks. Also, what's your opinion on the E-Core filters?
*****
I've never used those kind before, I only use ACDelco perforated filters.
great video thanks very much.
+duane piercey thanks! Thank you for watching :)
You know you made more of a mess by using the rag to remove the oil filter. Why did you have the latex gloves on ???
+JIM ECKENRODE yes I know, the oil was hot so I used a rag, the latex glove is so that I don't get oil on my hands. Personal preference, as long as you get the job done, that's all that matters. :)
+NutzAboutBolts I should have known that
Come on man
