You’re confusing two different CB500 engines. The first, and best, is from 1993, as a ’94 model, with 499cc and 57 horsepower. The other, from 2013, has 471cc and 47 horsepower. Both are good engines, but the older one is virtually indestructible. It’s said to be built to handle 300,000 km (180,000+ miles) with only regular maintenance.
KTM & reliability in the same sentence.....?
My KTM 1290 super adv. has been flawless !
Yes!! Aircooled Rotax. Strong and super reliable.
I did 400,000 kms on a Laverda 750.
Well done😊

The CB 750 has a plain bearing crank.....
No Kawasaki engines..! Where is the z1, KLR650 and ZZR1100 (ZX11) engines..?
Victory motorcycle engines regularly exceed 100,000 miles
Honda v4 gear driven just keeps going…my 85 interceptor is running great at 85000km!
I stopped listening with KTM.... sorry.
KTM 690 is not a reliable engine, rockers and camshafts are crap on this engine
No sources, means BS!
What a laughable review
