Thank you for your message, apologies for the delay in response, it's been a busy week! :) I couldn't agree more with your first point Anthony!
Thank you for your feedback, thats exactly what i'm trying to do, simplify the information and allow students to understand the 100's of battles they'll eventually conquer.
I have improved greatly however still a long way to go. Honestly, sticking myself in front of a camera is the best thing I did. What i would say though, is we're all a better communicator when we understand the topic/context. Poor communication for me comes from a lack of clarity, confidence & knowledge within the subject being discussed.
The CIMA case study exams use the PEER technique (point, evidence, explanation, result), this is something I use when trying to communicate/explain anything that I come across. I swear by it, it is extremely effective.
      Hope that helps!
      Good luck!

Great content, thanks! I know you said that potentially you’ll make a whole video on the PER but I’d really appreciate some quick advice as soon I have to make a decision as to whether I accept a permanent offer from my current job. I currently work in an Accounts Payable department at a transactional level but I’m looking to start my CIMA qualification. Can you meet the Practical Experience Requirements while only working at a transactional level? At my current job I’m not sure when I’d be able to gain experience with “management accounting” tasks so I’d like to know how much of the PER (if any) I could gain while working at a transactional level. Thanks and best of luck with the channel

    • @CRAIGO10
      @CRAIGO10  3 роки тому +1

I could speak for hours on this mate! But I thoroughly recommend looking at the PER on CIMA’s website as then taking a decision from there. Not all of your practical experience needs to be accounting, for example if you worked in IT & then switched to an accounting role, you could use your IT experience against the key competencies as these are skills that are very transferable. Accounts payable will give you some great skills & competencies that can be used towards your PER.
Further consideration, what is the progression opportunities like? You could have 2/3 jobs in 3 years & therefore would get additional responsibilities this way.
Further more, what additional projects could you take on while in your AP role.
I genuinely wouldn’t let the PEr out you off taking the role, unless you think you can get something slightly better, elsewhere.
      I hope this helps?
      Thanks!

Congrats & good luck for your journey :) Thank you for subscribing! In regards to study material, Kaplan, BPP & Astranti are all great options. It all depends on whether you chose classroom learning, online live or on demand/self study, the costs vary greatly. I did the majority of mine as 'distance online learning' and the total cost of the whole qualification was about £12,000.
I tested the different options available to me when i started for the first 3 modules & then afterwards I chose the one i preferred. It is alot to do with self preference.
I hope this helps, please let me know if any questions at any time :) Good luck with your exams!!

I have 2 degrees as an Accountant and a Licentiate in Administration. I had to study English from 0 to C1. It was kind of the same: passing A1, A2, B1, B2, and finally got an official C1 certificate. Now, in order to become a chartered accountant at Cima, I have to start from 0! If I got that qualification, I think I can die in peace. Also studying German at the moment.

Hi, can you advise me in finding the right answer:
Hi, i am confused which is the right answer. I choose option 4. Can anyone help me in this:
which one of the following statements BEST describe the use of forensic analysis:
    1. the analysis will determine the cause and extent of the breach by identifying the malware used.
    2. the analysis will confirm the identity of the attackers who first created the malware used in the breach.
    3. the analysis will determine the source and intent of the malware and determine the consequences of the breach.
    4. the analysis will explain the way that malware was used so the company can stop further breaches from occurring.

CIMA will only award the exemptions if you have demonstrated that you have these skills. You will definitely need to study hard to re-cap on the knowledge, it will be tough but certainly do-able. Hey! You can certainly use elements of your payroll role for CIMA. I wouldn’t recommend using payroll for the full 3 years though. Try to seek more management accounting roles to make up the majority & that should be sufficient to pass :)

Hey mate, I recommend business/economics. But honestly I wouldn’t stress. If you go to uni and sure you want to study CIMA then I recommend an Accounting & Finance degree, but at A Level then I wouldn’t worry too much! Apprenticeships also a good route rather than university if you want to do that, ideally in a Finance function :)
