Another forgotten 3rd person shooter on the xbox 360 was The Club. Similar to Wet you had a combo meter you were trying to keep up and complete the levels in the best times with the most style. I think at the time it was described as if Project Gotham Racing and Gears of War had a lovechild you'd get The Club.
Righteous, I just happen to be playing The Club right now. The lead designer described it as a racing game with guns. The only real flaw imo is the lack of incentive to play thru with the tournament with each character since they don't play very differently from each other. Still love the game though.
I remember that one but unfortunately missed it. I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for it. Do you remember the Saboteur? It's also one of those that not a lot of people talk about but is really fun
I bought WET years back when I randomly walked into my local Gamestop and bought it. WET is a pretty fun game, love the fighting and shooting sequences, it really does pay homage to films by Robert Rodriguez (especially Grindhouse) and Quentin Tarantino. I would love to see a sequel or a remaster 😀 The shooting sequences are exactly like John Woo's Stranglehold and Max Payne 💯. If I ever meet Eliza Dushku at a con, I'm having her sign my WET game 😀✌🏾
WET is on my top Xbox 360 games of all time. An absolute blast to play. Also Ruby being played by Eliza Dushku was A major plus for me being A huge fan of Buffy.
WET is the game that I haven't played back in 2009. I did played the demo, but never got the chance of playing the full game. It's an average action game, and I love the grind house style that this game delivered.
Bought this game twice. Never finished it but damn it was fun to me. And I bought a drink for the drummer of the Chop Tops, who played in the game. So that's my claim to fame
I had no idea it was this cool. The box art and name gave me the impression it would be really dumb. I didn't know it was all tongue-in-cheek. They probably could have branded it a lot better!
The dude fully admitted to enjoying these kinds of trashy stories. Not really an unbiased perspective. He probably just assumed that was the intention.
@@mattpace1026 well from what I saw of the footage he used, it sure looked like it was self-aware about being silly and over the top. I know that doesn't necessarily make it good though. My initial impression years ago was that it was corny tryhard badass but that doesn't seem to be the case.
I feel like AA devs don't take risks like this anymore. Gen 6 and 7 seemed to have a lot of "experimental" games, whereas today everything is stale, safe, and boring. Granted, indie devs still get creative.
I love this game. It's ruined me for bullet time mechanics AND combat space design; whenever you have a _metered_ bullet time mechanic, it sucks, because I know how it SHOULD be done thanks to this game, and every game should approach combat space design like a mini Tony Hawk skatepark with lots of traversal and skill moves to link together (Sunset Overdrive understands this). I feel like this game and HUNTED: The Demon's Forge were both *massively* overlooked from this time in Bethesda's history, and I'd love to see them both get revisited in some way. They're really, really enjoyable and I am really happy that Bethesda took a chance on publishing these new IP even if they didn't launch series... Fun fact: Not only was A2M/Behavior planning a WET 2, but the Gypsy Pistoleros - the "flamenco punk" band who did the theme to this one, _♪Una Para Todo Es Bandido_ - actually recorded a theme for that sequel game before it got cancelled! It's called _♪Rubi's Got a Gun,_ and you can listen to it here: ua-cam.com/video/ohXqiu-a_EQ/v-deo.html
Great coverage of a hidden treasure. I got bored of it quickly, but it's the kind of game that I am happy to own because I come back to it every so often for an hour. It's an interesting experiment, and if a sequel had been able to refine the gameplay more it could have been amazing. I think it would have benefited from having the non-slow action be more useful, as it gets a little old just spamming the dives and slides the entire time. Also, QTE can be fun when done properly , but the QTE segments are a grind in this game. I always dread the stupid traffic levels.
Back in the day my friend had this game and he used to play i played little bit from first area fight i didn't know the controls at the time i never really gave the game try but now i recently downloaded it on my xbox completed chapter 7 its fun game actually it's a shame that game never got a sequel maybe someday behaviour decides to hire a new publisher for this game remake it
I think I may have had the same experience with this game as you lol I remember being really interested in it and then I played the demo and wasn't that impressed with it. Over the years I've seen it at used game stores and thought about getting it but haven't. You've convinced me to buy it with this video though, looks really fun.
@@campxboxyeah I went to the game store yesterday and they had it for $20 which was a good deal but they didn't have the original case or manual so I'm bidding on one on e-bay now lol
@@larryalmeida3267 it’s not currently backward compatible and they stopped adding games to the back compat list a while ago so I don’t know if it ever will be unfortunately.
I never had any interest in playing this game because I had watched Yahtzee Croshaw's review, which was extremely negative even for him. Now that I'm actually seeing this game in action for the first time, it honestly looks kinda good! If only it were backwards compatible on Series X; I may have to find a PS3 copy instead.
This game is crap. The slo-no gets SOOO repetitive. The aiming is jank AF and those quick time sequences are THE WORST. @3:25 the author of this video, in the same sentence, says the plot is “cohesive” but also “nonsensical,” and somehow equates this with “excellence.” SMH. 🤨. This game is NOT Max Payne. It is NOT worth the $70+ it is commanding on eBay right now. Spend 6 hours doing something else.

Talking about Wet here not The Club

this was one of those weird games I always saw on people's xbox profiles, but never played. great video!
Definitely still worth trying for the right price

What a coincidence. I just started playing WET last night.

WET is such an underrated gem. I still blast "Chinatown Hustler" when I can. 🤣
Camp Xbox comin thru with content 💯

Your channels gonna blow up brother, keep doing you!
I appreciate that!
I agree. This channel is so good😊
Wet is such a fantastic game, third-person shooter.
I remember trying a used copy of this game. Wish I kept it. Hoping Wet can get rereleased, it's a decent fun game unlike Rogue Warrior.
I played Rogue Warrior not long before I started this channel and that game is a complete mess.
WET is my childhood games ❤
Good for you kid...
Guess I could say the same since I was 16 when I played thru it.
Man I wish we got Wet 2

Yeah it looks like WET 2 was ready to start production that's cool that a song exists from it.

Nice choice for a review!
I absolutely loved WET. It felt like, a Tomb Raider game that wasn't trying to be so damned smart.
It never ceases to amaze me when someone reveals a level of stupid I've never seen before.
The wetter the better.

Yeah the pricing on WET is getting out of hand, but if you find a PS3 copy at a good price definitely pick it up.
this game was freakin awesome loved it
hey how about a warriors game review?! that game needs a remake
Yeah definitely on the to-do list, one of my favorite movies!
wet was fun indeed
This game is the most expensive xbox 360 game I've come across so far
Ah. Eliza dushku....
The Game difficulty level is too hard. I can't get past the "Parachute" Level... Any Tips...??? Frustrating...😡
When chicks were so so so badass back then.
Why is it called wet? Is it just a sexual innuendo joke?
Its a play on the term wet work which is a euphemism for Assassins. With a little innuendo mixed in.
