This game was underrated, I remember getting it for like 5 bucks and was surprised how much I enjoyed it. I liked the sword girl and the dual pistol guy the most.
This was my favourite game on the 360 for many years. It's so much fun and I really wish it got the recognition and love it deserves. Still have hopes (although very unlikely) for a remake/remaster.
Too bad the game wasn't backwards compatible. It looks like it has an unlocked framerate. It could've benefitted from being run on the Series consoles.
I’m holding out hope, I dug my ps3 out and went hunting for a physical copy, the frames get so bad even if there’s 2 enemies on screen lol. It would look incredible
@@theoriginalfluff5317 I have it on the Xbox 360 and I never had any issues with it except nothing beating it yet and I had it forever. It's a good game, definitely a "hidden gem" type of game.
i remember playing this game as a kid and my dad walked in when youre doing the exorcist on that one chick and my dad looks at me and my brother and shakes his head and says "wtf are you guys watching no wonder youre fucked" lol best memory of any game, and always thought to myself that tis story could be true at least the 1st born part lol
I still have the limited edition steelbook! This game has its flaws but it's a guilty pleasure of mine. I absolutely love the atmosphere, the art and body horror. It's a fun little gem (wish it was backwards compatible)
What’s funny is I played this not that long ago! I wondered if anyone remembered it! Trying to get the Hard Mode Achievements without dying is actually torture, especially when you have to play perfectly. One section in I think level/ checkpoint 4 or 5, made me cry because of how hard it was. I finally got through it, screamed of victory and then immediately got food lol. Great video though Camp Xbox, keep up the great work!!
Love this game. It has a great squad based mechanic I wish other games used. Looks great for a 360 title too. I believe licensing issues stopped it from being backwards compatible on Series X/S which is a real shame.
This is the finest review I've seen of this game to date my friend, outstanding! I have it in my collection but need to play it now, as your impressions from playing it have me intrigued!
Crazy to think this team would go on to make Castlevania Lords of Shadows and then Metroid Dread! It is a solid little experience worth the bargain bin price you usually find it at these days. Not great but it has flashes of brilliance and if you enjoy it you'll have a solid little weekend beating it. Would adore a remaster with improved ally AI and online co-op added. Game has so much going for it and really does just need some polishing to its main features to shine meaningfully.
I remember really enjoying this game. For the first three or so hours i did find the game tricky to get into but soon something about the game grabbed me, thankfully i stayed with it.
I’m so glad you made a video on this game. I really liked it back in the day when it came and was disappointed by all of the negative reviews (although that was during EGM’s villain arc lol). Hopefully this will introduce it to some new people that will enjoy it like I did back the day. Great video!
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Happy that you also enjoyed the game too I hadn't played it till now, but I think I would have enjoyed it back in the day as well.
I loved this game! I never beat it cuz I let someone borrow it and forgot to get it back and I keep forgetting to look for it at old game stores. I wanna play this again now
I really enjoyed this game. Horror atmosphere, gunplay and graphics were great at that time👍 I just discovered Your channel and as Xbox player since 2002 I think stay around💚💚💚
I liked this game. I liked the gameplay, the characters, the haunting gothic tone, and I was glued to the story. I think the game gets too much of a bad rap for reasons I never understood. I've played bad games before and this is not one of them. I like horror, goth stuff, action; this is my type of game.
The scene I remember vividly from playing this game growing up was that boss hanging from the ceiling at @12:06 Glad I finally remembered the name of this game. Edit: DUUUUDE STRANGLEHOLD!!! I’ve been scraping my brain trying to remember that games name for years 😂
This is one of my favorite games I’ve ever played. I actually own it but just never played it, I’ve always been into the tone and concept of the game. I would absolutely love a remake, with maybe a horde mode, online co-op, and more missions.
I liked this game. I liked the core concept, the story, the gameplay, and the monsters. It's far from a perfect game, but I don't think it deserves to be forgotten. My biggest issue, though, is the extremely abrupt ending.
man i loved the game when i first played it. both clive barker games ive played this and undying where always uniqe. this video brings backs memories thanks for reminding me again.
Undying was the best FPS horror game I've ever played from Clive Barker, but when I saw Jericho. It look very generic, and never bothered playing when it came out. I just played Resistance instead.
Clive Barkers Jericho got nothing on FEAR or even Trepang 2, but I liked the idea of a military unit battling paranormal threats to the US/Humanity. Probably needed a sequel to improve on the original game's faults. Unfortunately, we didn't get one.
I actually did play this game and honestly I didn't care for it. It's not the worst game ever and I don't mind linear games. The biggest problem that I have is that I felt it was designed poorly and it actually handicapped me in many places. I think I got to about the level in the dark facility where you had to go through a tunnel and then I just gave up. I guess hearing you say the ending was bad means I didn't miss much!
I rented this game back when it just released, i never played past the second level, dont remember much about it but it just wasnt that great compared to other titles of the same time
I remember I was so hyped for this game and bought it day one but quickly lost interest for one reason or another and traded it in. I need to grab another copy.
The game was great but needed more polish on A.i had constantly babysit them and reviving them often dying a lot and the gameplay and controls too. The difficulty is off the roof normal seems like ultra hard.
I played this at launch, when I worked in a retail games store, years ago... It's great a time if you're going into it 1st time around, but as you've stated, it can become repetitive and tedious. I think I played it on hard, and it was certainly a challenge, unlocking quite a few achievements along the way, but it wasn't a game that I went back to. The highlights were the enemy designs and the team you can switch through on the fly. It's not a bad game, just a middling, forgettable game. It certainly needed a multi-player mode too.
This game was underrated, I remember getting it for like 5 bucks and was surprised how much I enjoyed it. I liked the sword girl and the dual pistol guy the most.
This game was one of my favorites on the 360. The plot was so crazy and intense, and I will never see another game like it unless they remaster it.

Like like I need to break out xenia
So many games could of benefited
Get it on pc, it natively supports xbox controller

This game is like a fever dream. I remember seeing it at blockbuster or Walmart all the time. But no one I knew ever played it lol

they’ll probably remaster/remake it, they’ve done it with Voodoo Vince 😅 why not this one

Glad you enjoyed the review! You’ll have to tell me if you like it when you get to it!
I’m glad you decided to play this, this game has intrigued me for years and i have never taken the plunge into it.

I bought this a few weeks back but haven’t played it yet. Looking forward to trying it out. Great video as always!
Thanks! You’ll have to let me know your impressions!
These games just always have such a good indenity and you knew that as soon as you saw the Clive Barker logo
Intresting that Mercury Steam this that :) They also did the Castlevania Reboot Games and the Metroid 2 Remake
Yeah their Metroid games are so good!
I was just Thinking about this game earlier today, I'll enjoy the video!
Wow I was just talking about this in a recent video. Great to see you talk about it on here too.
I wanted to play this game when it came out. Never got around to it.
This game is a favorite of mine despite it's terrible squad AI.
I loved this game! I never beat it cuz I let someone borrow it and forgot to get it back and I keep forgetting to look for it at old game stores. I wanna play this again now

Just ordered this. Im beating every FPS game released for the 360, so this one should be interesting
lmk how that goes!
We were spoiled with different genre games back then. How many different types of shooters we get these days?
I liked this game. I liked the core concept, the story, the gameplay, and the monsters. It's far from a perfect game, but I don't think it deserves to be forgotten. My biggest issue, though, is the extremely abrupt ending.
This game for me was an instant like when i first got it because of the framerate. It's a good game overall.
I didn’t watch the video yet but I would like to say right off the bat that I really like this game
man i loved the game when i first played it. both clive barker games ive played this and undying where always uniqe.
this video brings backs memories thanks for reminding me again.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I played this game so many times over. I've even considered picking up a copy for old times sake.
Best xbox youtube channel by far !! Quality content .
This game has a really cool premise. Maybe a some sort of remake or reboot could fix some of it's problems
Excellent review! I'm going to pick this one up for my 360. I like the subject matter and style.
I’ve owned this game for years and never actually knew it was a FPS I’ll get it out and give it a go
Undying was the best FPS horror game I've ever played from Clive Barker, but when I saw Jericho. It look very generic, and never bothered playing when it came out. I just played Resistance instead.
Didn't know Alister Brimble was involved, thanks for the info 🎉❤

Clive barker seems really dedicated to his work, bad or good, unlike most authors these daysb
One of my all time favorite fps games
I finished this when it was new
I actually enjoyed it
Love Clive barker stuff. I have this just haven't played it
I loved Undying and Jericho! Played them both and had a blast on them! Wish they'd remake Jericho, but don't change things for political clout!

Fucking love this game
I rented this game back when it just released, i never played past the second level, dont remember much about it but it just wasnt that great compared to other titles of the same time
Funny enough, I was literally just thinking about this game today lol 😂 than you suddenly post a video about, perfect timing 😉
Just clicked on this. Game is fire.
This game isn't bad at all, its a cult classic.
that ending tho LOL
Yeah I can't believe they did that
I have the disc here and my 360 broke... I wish I could play this on my series X.
I remember I was so hyped for this game and bought it day one but quickly lost interest for one reason or another and traded it in. I need to grab another copy.
I love this game and will forever be sad that we never got the promised trilogy.
This game is 🔥 recently beat it
The game was great but needed more polish on A.i had constantly babysit them and reviving them often dying a lot and the gameplay and controls too. The difficulty is off the roof normal seems like ultra hard.
The pastor with guns was a running joke for years between my friends and i
Hear me out, we all make a petition and send it to code masters for a sequel with Clive barker
I loved this game to the core. I dont understand how ppl didnt like it
Why is the chapters based on Gears of War?
Love the vibes, the look, and all the potential of this game. The gameplay and story makes me want to die every time I load it up. So damn bad
Odd i loved this game but i didn't know the game was considered bad i did about 10 play throughs

Yes
Sadly, most of the interesting xbox 360 games are not backward compatible...
Probably due to copyright of the owners.... but that's life...
Play on PC you can “max” out the graphics. Looks way better than the 360/PS3 version
The game is not bad at all, it's pretty good.
Seen this at a store the other day for cheap, would've gotten it but it had h*lla scratches :( .
This game seems like it had potential but looks held back by tech issues which is a real shame
Fun game to play^^
Badass!
This game is a bit like daikatana to me.
I would’ve played it if it didn’t get such poor reviews back then :(
Why are the most serious games always shat on the most?
It's ok. By the time i was done with it, i was happy to be finished. Flawed generic shooter with a gothic tone where you can't see s!?t
Sometimes I wish you had a spoiler section of your videos, cuz I’m definitely curious about that abrupt ending.
This analyses feels incomplete, there is a lot of sustenance missing. I feel like I got a bio of the game but not an actual analysis of its quality.
That iis an intrusively long commercial for a game I'm not remotely interested in. Do better YT.
