QOTD: How do you take notes?
Hello Amy. I just watched both of the productivity videos of you and Matt. I would love to have my hands on one of those bullet journals for my first time ever. Thanks for the great video.
I do still write them down. Problem is sometimes I write them on whatevers handy and may or may not find them again 😭🤣
#bulletjournalplease
Love your tip about sticking with it!! I tend to give up o things very easily but really want this method to work.
I want a bullet journal
I write down my notes into my bullet journal 🙂 It helps me not to forget anything 🙏
1. As soon as you have an idea, write it down in your journal immediately
2. Find time to sort out things you need to do and those you don't need to do
3. Make sure your goals are front to center. Sort them into quarterly goals and reflect on them often
4. For online shoppers, its great to have a body measurement chart on your journal. Its easy to get to it when deciding to shop for clothes online
5. When you miss a month's goal, try to pick up whatever you left off whenever you left off.
Thanks Amy
LOVE keeping my bullet journal! I keep my entire life in the bullet journal. It's the only productivity tool I come back to no matter what happens in my life.
I love this! So happy to be putting together this video for everyone Amy - BuJo for life! 📓✍️
:)
#BulletJournalPlease. My top bullet journal tip is to make it your own. Don’t let others designs or layouts intimidate you. Make your bulletjournal in a way that works successfully for you.
Nice list #BulletJournalPlease
I was always curious to understand bullet journal. Good to see channel specialized in this. Just subscribed!
I think the routine reflection is 100% the thing that helped me the most!! Really love doing it now
The best tip I’m taking is “stick with it”/get back to it even if it has been collecting dust for a while. #Bulletjournalplease
I love your idea of starting over when you leave out a day or two or fall off. My Journal tip is to make it work for you. I don't have a bullet journal is that is neat and tidy, but it works for me and I've been at it for almost two years. Bullet journaling has changed my life. Thanks to both of you. #bulletjournalplease.
Love Bullet Journals! Easy and so customizable. A Baron Fig Bullet Journal would be a dream! ❤️
Another tip: useful is more important than cute. You can lose a lot of time creating a beautiful page, but that time youcould spend in actually doing something of your taskk list. #BulletJournalPlease
I couldn't agree more! At the beginning I was trying so hard to make my bujo super cute and it was just too much... so I stopped... When I decided to pick it back up I decided to go only for the essentials and voila! couldn't live without it!
My bullet journal tip is: the world is your canvas. Your bullet journal is functional for whatever you need it to be. Doesn’t have to mimic someone else’s - it just needs to mimic you. Bullet journaling took off for me once I realized this simple fact. Amy, your videos have been such an inspiration to me #Bulletjournalplease
I do a lot of this digitally and it's so so helpful! Whether you're more of a digital or pen to paper kinda person implementing these ideas is game changing!!
I love taking notes , sticky note or voice memo.. it really helps me record all my info so I wont forget it ....
Love this! I journal a little differently, but always get something out of every video you post. Thank you!
As someone who’s trying to stick to a bujo, I’m so grateful for this video. Thanks Amy (and the rest of the team)
if you're struggling to stick to it, perhaps the method isn't for you? you could try a different style of planner
Guessing Geo I considered it, but I’ve found that when I do manage to stick to it I am more productive and less anxious, so it’s certainly worth it. The fact that I have trouble sticking to it doesn’t have to do with the specific method, it’s more of a personal trait...
@@RinatP45 that's cool too! I just worry that sometimes people think about bullet journaling and think it's the BEST WAY to do it because so many people love it, but it's just ONE WAY to do it. I've been doing it for years without quitting (and I quit everything) but I think that's because I don't use the standard bullet journal method, if I did, I never would
Guessing Geo well, if you have any useful tips, please, do tell :)
Content creators like you and Matt Ragland are what has inspired me to create my own bullet journal and it has had an unbelievably positive affect on my life. I am the kind of person that struggles so much to get organized and stay productive. Writing everything down is by far the best tip that i could ever recommend to someone. It shouldn’t even take a long time to write it down. Make tasks as simplistic as possible while still being understandable. #bulletjournalplease
I’m a paper note taker but so try to put it in digital form when I can. I haven’t started Bullet Journaling yet but think it’s awesome. My daughter is getting married in February and we have been brain dumping to relieve stress. ❤️. I might just have to start doing this daily! Thanks Amy!
I appreciated this video as I have struggled with consistency with my bujo. But when I use it regularly I love it.
Love all the subtle special effects in your video - great ideas and wise words on getting back on the horse....
Always love new content from you! Good morning, good life guys! 🥰
I’m the same, apps aren’t the same as a journal for me. Putting my thoughts in one place that isn’t techy is such a mood.
In my second year of bullet journalling. Been loving it even when I don't use it as fully as I'd like to.
Hi Amy, I loved your tips I only been bullet journaling for a year and it has helped me so much for my creative outlet. I hope you have a great day.
Thanks to you I learned how to do morning pages and that has made wonders in my life. So thank you Amy, keep giving us more wonderful tricks 🤗
#bulletjournalplease! I started bullet journaling about a month ago on a trial basis with an extra composition notebook I had laying around. And I have been loving this method! My favourite tip from this video is to just write it down. I have noticed that since I started I have been picking up my bullet journal to make notes of a lot of things. Usually at the end of each day I write a small paragraph about how my day went, just so I can look back and yesterday and be thankful for today.
I definitely had to start over my bullet journal. I spent so much time wanting it too look insta worthy but not if the layouts were working for me. I have totally new attitude about my bullet journal and I love it!
I like Bu Jo so much. Thanks for the video.
Wowww! Don't think just bullet! Never thought about it!! The for the greatest tip!
Really want to get back to bullet journaling! Thank you!!
Needed some motivation inspiration yesterday and found this channel. Have to admit I did some binge watch Amy yesterday. Heading over to Matt’s channel
You inspire me. Thank you Amy! ❤
I love videos like this! I’m definitely needing this for my motivation bank to get back on track in 2020 🥰🥰🥰
Love bullet journaling!
*Dear Amy. I really appreciate your videos and the high quality content that you put out, you are a big inspiration to me.* Thank you for keeping us going through these tough times with your awesome videos! Sending you so much love to you and the Amy Landino UA-cam family 🌹
A new notification from Amy and every other thing waits until I'm done watching!
I’ve started digital planning lately and I love transferring new goal setting methods into a paperless platform. Thanks Amy for the tips!
Love the idea of body measurement tracker! Thx. I would love a bullet journal! Now over the Matts!
Always love the content and encouragement. Bullet journal, please. I love analogue the best. Writing it out, brain dump style, then on to organization.
Subscribed to Matt’s channel! Love to bullet journal. Always love your videos Amy! Oh...and yes...I would love a new bullet journal.
Hi Amy I have just joined your channel and loving the positive energy, humour and great support and inspiration!
I use my Notes app on my phone for taking notes and recording quotes and ideas. I also have a gratitude journal to keep me sane and remind me of all the good things in my life and I have a moonology diary for appts and events. Looking forward to using a bullet journal!
Nice tips! I’ve been using an old notebook (regular lines) with the task list type bullet journal system since covid/summer. I haven’t had time to truely plan like I like to, but it has been essential to keep an ultimate task list and carry over items to the next week if they were not completed.
The journals you are giving away looks so classic and clean!
I'm definitely going to start this asap! I love your calendar blocking technique and can't live without it now! I need to watch a few more videos about bullet journaling because I think I have been doing something similar in a totally messy way for work stuff, but definitely want to be able to use for personal life too and maybe so it is easier to get the most out of it.
#bulletjournalplease
I'm going to start and remind myself of number 5 - stock with it. Even if I only use to 10% of its capability, that's more than not using at all!
I absolutely love bullet journaling! Thanks for the tips and the giveaway! ❤️
I am better at organizing things at work than I am for my life. Having everything in one portable notebook is so helpful! It helps me to keep track of tasks that I need to get done, even ones that require multiple steps! It also helps me brainstorm and takes notes all in one place (so I'm not wondering where I put that napkin that had important notes from a meeting/reading). I love being able to evaluate and migrate tasks, reference important information that I frequently use, as well as being able to look back on my schedule and the important things in my life. To help jog my memory, search for info, or evaluate my progress toward my goals.
I have been using a bullet journal regularly (mostly) and continuously for a few years now.
I do use my google calendar on my phone as a supplement so I have my day in an easy visual and reminders. This has been much more important while working from home!
#bulletjournalplease
i think that 'keep going' mentality is my biggest tip, and what i love about bullet journaling. there's no blank spots, you just flip to the next page and keep going! #bulletjournalplease
I’ve been looking forward to this video, I recently got back into doing bullet journaling again! :)
I love your bujo videos! ❤️ clicked as soon as I saw it
(made this comment on Matt's channel although I really believe people should see this)
This week I just got started using my BuJo journal and I believe the biggest tip any new user should have is forgiving yourself if you don't write down anything for the day, week, month, etc. and continue where you left off and thank yourself that you are taking action to better your life and being productive! 😁 #bulletjournalplease
Love that you said even if it’s not perfect it’s not wasted 🙌🏼💖
I have been trying to start journaling, thanks for the tips...
Can't wait to watch Matt's video as well!
Great ideas, I'm gonna start doing that
Great tips! I love my bullet journal for tasks and notes.
Needed this !! I love my Bujo and I love Matt too!! Would love to see a look inside your bujo! Love the body measurement idea!
I loved this video! I keep my body measurements in my planner for online shopping purposes too 👌
Brilliant video, love the idea of the Brain Dump! I have just got into the whole Bujo thing; so am only using an old notebook for now - but definitely an analog preference - and so far I prefer seeing the whole month on one page for appointments/events; habit and spending trackers the lot!
Love it!!
Im glad you worked with Matt on this! I am a crash n burn Bujo man. Gotta just run with flaws sometimes.
Hello lovely Amy, yay for today's video... Yup my years plans went out the window with all the lock downs. Thrilled to hear your positive tips for bullet journal to just get back on da horse.
Love love it all tips, especially with the 'get it out of your head'. Cos lately I feel so behind my goals if 2020... Today you've shown me how to just RESET and Restart. 🥰 My mind has shifted from 'guilt' due to deadlines failure.. To creative mode!!!!
Yay yay.
Ps. Your new look is gorgeous n new hair. 👌😎
Haven't tried a bullet journal - would love to!
Love your 💡 ideas 💡
#bulletjournalplease My favourite tip from your video is to stick with it. One thing I’ve loved about my bullet journal over the years is that it’s always there and is constantly forgiving. Thanks for the tips!
Great video! Thanks!
Woo hoo! I was already subscribed to you both! And I have been wanting to try the baron figg journals. 😊
Great to have both key messages and two perspectives - my "productivity" in retirement might be a bit different but still works with these basic tips.
🙋♀️fellow bullet journaller here! Love bullet journalling and loved this video!
Luv your videos. The best vibes
Hey Amy, I loved the tips! I have always wanted to make a bullet journal, but I tend to over think about it! I always over think "what notebook should I use?" "How should I style my bujo?" And so on. I need to just start one and start small! My favourite bujo tip (which I have used in a planner before) is a flip out legend in the front or back of your bujo. I used this in my agenda in highschool, and it was helpful! And my favourite note taking method is on my computer (google docs)- because recently my right hand has been sore stiff from writing with a pen or pencil on paper. I need to get it checked, but due to Covid, medical/non emergency access is very limited. Cannot wait for more bujo videos!! #bulletjournalplease
#BulletJournalPlease!! I am only using a notebook!! Amy am a fan of yours and watch so much of yours channel i have it listed in my Bujo! What do i like: I love the analogue system though use my digital google diary for appointments and blocking. I use my ToDoist for projects. I transfer all of these into my Bullet Journal in the daily rapid log and weekly master list in my daily review - 10 mins. As i am gradually getting a system that works for me and my brain, i am feeling more empowered! So i am a bullet journal fan. Thanks Amy for your great tips.
bullet journaling is how i ended up here in the first place, i love these vids
Thanks for the tips!!
Hi from the Czech Republic! When quarantine hit (and also everytime i don´t feel motivated) I search youtube for some bullet journal tips. I am using regular diary every day and I´m obssesed with it but bullet journal technique is soo fascinating for me, I love to watch videos with those incredible people. Just watching them is so motivating. And that´s how I´ve found your videos, Amy. Right during first video I started to take notes ...cause I am also an analogue girl. :-) So many good tips there! My whole family already knows how amazing your videos are and your quotes, morning pages, calendar blocking... I was waiting for your Good morning, Good life soo long, I´ve read it in 1 day. Soo inspiring. Yesterday i got that salt lamp. Thanks Amy for everything.
I love to buy a new pretty journal to start, it always helps me to stick with it
Oh my God! This video came at the perfect time for me right now 👌👌
You’re such a godsend, thanks so much!!
Thank you for this video. I've been going on and off with bullet journaling for a year now. It's been crazy!! But after this I think I'm finally ready to get back to it. My favorite way to take notes are my memo pads that are always sitting on my desk whether I'm working, studying or just browsing social media because I find that I can get an idea anytime and anywhere. I also make time of the day to go through the ideas and think about what I can do right here, right now about them. #BulletJournalPlease
Hi Amy, thank you very much for this video! I love the topic! I have tried many times to keep track of my tasks but I have to admit that for me it is hard to do it for every single day, however, with time I have learned how to create a habit of my daily routines. Thanks to you I have discovered the beauty of time batching with Google calendar, you are my inspiration in everything you do #bulletjournalplease
I love this 👍❤️
I love doing bullet journals... it just keeps me so in track... it’s like I am telling myself how my day is gonna be, not the rest of the world!!! #Bulletjournalplease
I love how real life you are and how often I laugh through your videos! Enjoyed both of your videos on bullet journaling. #bulletjournalplease
Fantastic!
Thank you for the tips. I am one who overthinks my pages to a point where I stop all together . I am going to pick it up and start again where I left off. ❤
Fell off the bandwagon months ago but this has reminded me how much I loved it so am now inspired and excited to restart
I love your videos💞 always awesome vibed... I am soo much of a perfectionist that I don't know if bullet joutnaling would work for me BUT I do also feel that writing all your thoughts down helps a ton💭.
I use Keep Notes to write all my thoughts and to-do's down😁
Thanks for all your videos 💕
Just officially started bullet journaling this year and these tips would definitely help a lot to create a journal that actually works for me. Thank you. Also, because of the pandemic, I didn't get the chance to find a good dotted notebook so I ended up using a blank page notebook. Winning this would be amazing. It will save me from a lot of trouble. #bulletjournalplease Thanks for your videos I watch them all the time. Helped me learn a lot.
I am going to do this! I love my daily, weekly, monthly planner. Bullet journaling sounds fun! Can’t wait to check out more videos. #bulletjournalplease
Thank you so much for a good video. Totally true about just sticking with it. I think I missed the entire month of April this year but am back to bullet journaling now! Thank you also for the #bulletjournalplease. My favorite note taking method is a handwritten outline. I really like how outlines make you focus on the main points and be concise.
I like the measurement tracker, whether for shopping or diy.
My tip: I put a ? signifier by bullets that are waiting for a response or input. When it arrives, I close the open side, which ends up looking like a location tag.
Right now I take notes in a journal and on the notes app on my phone. I would love to have a bullet journal to help organize my thoughts and goals.
I think this is perfect for me, I want to start bullet journaling!
I started using the bullet journal technique thanks to Amytv videos and since then this has been life changing for me!!! Thank you for sharing wisdom Amy!!! #bulletjournalplease
I love the bullet journal tips! Journal please!
This is the next step on my journey to getting organised. I started with calendar blocking and it's been great to stay on top of my day to day, regular responsibilities and to work in some me time in the early morning but I'm missing that daily creativity and solidifying those fleeting ideas so I can add them to my calendar and see them come to life. I've been watching your other videos on bullet journaling to see how best to tackle it. Winning this cute journal would be an awesome way to start! #bulletjournalplease
I love my bullet journal! It’s gone through so many changes since I started in 2019. I would having a larger one (like this one!) so I can use it more for notes and not just weekly to do lists!
My favorite why is analog. I am a analog nerd. Thanks for the tips, especially the stick with it one. #bulletjournalplease!
I love your channel! I have got to get back to journaling. I take notes in notebooks - but can't stop digital calendars...love that beep reminder. #bulletjournalplease
Followed the link in Matt's video and found your channel. I love your focus on reflections. I have been diligently bullet journaling for over a year, but I'm terrible at reflection. I just set up my week, but don't often look back to see if I'm following my goals and plans. This leads a journal full of to-do lists but little progress on the most important goals in my life. #bulletjournalplease
Great video and colaboration of you two!! I've been watching you both quite a couple years and thank you so much for all the content and great information about bujos.
My personal tip for increase productivity is to create your personalized categories in your Bullet Journal Keys; for example with this quarantine my wife and I had to be on track with our 4 years old school virtual activities, my son's name is Felipe, so I created a key similar to a copyright symbol with the letter F in it... in this way is so much quicker for me to find in my bujo all the things related to my boy.
Thanks again, my best regards for you two!!
#bulletjournalplease
Love both of your content! Keep up the good work :)
I've been subscribed to you for a long time and I've been following Matt for months! I love this collaboration! ...Also been bujo'ing since 2014, so I really resonate with this video - During quarantine, I've had a few blank pages... this is a great reminder to stay on the bandwagon... my husband says he can tell when I'm not journaling, lol. #bulletjournalplease
Love these tips! Thanks so much!! I'm huge at writing down ideas on little bits of paper everywhere!! I would love to be entered into the drawing!
Excellent video great overview
So awesome you guys did this collab! Thanks for reminding me to just get back on the bullet journal habit! I started an Atomic Habits journal at the beginning of the year and pretty much bailed on it before March. I want to get back to it but the longer I put it off, the bigger the task seems to be able to get back to it. When I am consistent, the thing that works best for me is actually not prepping daily pages for the week. I would still do a weekly recap / week ahead but I would date each day and track my tasks each morning and review at night. It worked for me! #BulletJournalPlease
