One thing that helped me so much (both in personal and professional life) is that everything has to have its place. Whether it is e-mail or a towel. If it doesn't have its room, there will be a mess at some point.😊
My grandmother used to say "a place for everything and everything in it's place." Not original, it's a common phrase. Best piece of advice to get organized!!!
That's literally my go-to mindset when it comes to organizing/decluttering and cleaning, and I credit that for my high organization now as an adult. If it doesn't have a home (and you're struggling to find it a home) then it quite literally doesn't belong.
Amy one of my FAVORITE things I do is I have a printed inventory list. This is a list of all household items and pantry staples that I keep regularly stocked in my home. At the end of every month I Print the list out and I take 10 minutes to walk through my home and see what I need to restock for the month. This saves me both time and energy as I can make one trip on one day during the month and I have everything I need!
My organizing tip that was a game changer for me: Store items together according to the LOCATION/PURPOSE they're used in, NOT according to the kind of item it is. Example: Sneakers are shoes, but if they are your gym sneakers, they DO NOT belong in your closet with your other shoes! They belong alongside your gym bag. Likewise, if you play tennis regularly, your tennis racket does not belong stashed with all your other sports equipment in the garage or mudroom. It belongs with your tennis bag (where you should also have your tennis sneakers). I keep coupons in my car (not in some cryptic envelope in my files), because my car is with me 100% of the time when I go to the store (any store). Same thing goes for any documents or receipts that are needed for taxes. Don't file them according to their individual categories (i.e., office supplies, medical expenses, car repair, W-2 income, 1009 income, etc.). Put ALL of those docs in one folder called TAX PREP or ACCOUNTANT. When it comes tax time, you won't be running around like a lunatic trying to mine all of these disparate docs from their hiding places! Do this with everything, and you'll never be frazzled, pulling yourself together again.
Writing everything down allows you to declutter your mind. So helpful as long as you have an efficient way to organize your notes. I use Evernote on my phone + Mac. Always stay on top of my ideas and projects!
Quick little tip for the text situation... not perfect, but it helps me ... I screenshot the text I want to give a quality answer to then email it to myself to deal with later or paste it into a calendar appointment. Works for my work flow! I get back and address it later. I might even respond, “I just saw this, but I’ll get back to you ___ when I can give this proper attention.”
1. Have routines💪🏽 2. Write everything down📝 3. Categorical bins & baskets🧺 4. Use email organization tools📧 5. Take things to the right room🚪 6. Utilize: do not disturb📵 7. Use collaborative calendars📆
Thanks for the inspiration again! I try to be as organized as possible, but just make sure that I don’t force myself to be organized at every single thing. I think it is important to make peace with the fact that everything can’t be perfect all the time, otherwise you just get burnt out. (tried and tested)
Not giving enough mic care to the mic huh? I know, it's a dumb joke: That's why I told it. 😱 A workaround for the apple mark unread issue would be to have a specific "get back too" email account that you can forward those messages too. Then you schedule a time to check that email address for those messages you want to get back too.
The first thing I was thinking about was: hmm, she changed a mic setting, but than saw a tip 🎦 nonetheless the sound settings have no common with excellent content! 😄
I totally agree with the unread text msg idea. I feel bad because what starts as a good intention (wanting to give a thoughtful response) turns into a faux pax by completely forgetting to respond! Yikes!
I'm doing my master degree in engineering and physics and the one thing that keeps me sane is my bullet journal. It is dedicated exclusively to my studies and contains all the important information about the courses, deadlines and credits. It also includes a calendar for the 3 years of my degree and a page per week for planning my work. I also track which lectures I have attended and reviewed. This way I always have all the necessary information on hand and stay on track.
You, lady, are on fire!! First it was 'you don't have to be a morning person to have an early morning routine' (proper light bulb game changer moment, right there). Now, it's 'you do not need to be an organised person to get a little more organised'!!! LOVE IT!!! And, love you of course! Big kisses to Lucy, cos she's going into her old lady years! Xxxxxx
I use google sheets, docs, and calendar to stay organized. I love that everything syncs and is accessible across every device so I can access it anywhere and don’t have to worry about not having access to personal files at work or vice versa.
I suck at doing things immediately, so I've organized my life around it. When ever I see something which should get done, I look at my calendar and which is the next day that chore fits in. I write it on that day. The night before, I detailed calendar-block my next day, and include the chore. My boyfriend says he has a mini heart attack when he sees the 50 things I have to do, but it's often small tasks that takes 5 min. By giving it a timeslot, even though it would only take 5 min when i discovered it, through this system I GET IT DONE
The thing that helps me stick to my morning routine (and not get sidetracked by Pinterest and the like) is having an alarm go off every 30 minutes in the morning: 4am get up, 4:30am I should be in the middle of my workout, 5am get into the shower, 5:30am I should be putting on my face, 6am be done and check emails, 6:30am have breakfast and so on. I get sidetracked easily and forget to get things done. This greatly helps me
I've been following you for some time and I have to say that that, "kiss the ones you love" was really touching and I felt your heart, it made me tear up. So much depth conveyed in a seemingly simple close. Sending love Amy!
As a Creative Writer, some of my best and weirdest ideas came from the Shower. So having a notepad hanging on the shower room might really do the trick. Thank you, Amy :)
I love having a notebook by my bed so that when I'm trying to fall asleep & I remember something I don't want to forget, I can write it down, not worry about it & fall asleep easier.
At the end of the school day, I write down all my assignments and tasks in a notebook in order of priority and check them off as I complete them. I also use google calendar to organize important events, but not every hour of my life like you do.
The collaborative calendar is awesome! We have one at home and it's color coordinated by person (i.e. my color is red and my brother's color is green, etc.). Makes it a lot easier to read!
🎯 YES! Apple we need the option to leave text message as unread. It’s so easy to forget 🤦🏻♀️ specially if you want to preview if it’s urgent message or something you can come back to as an option. Hoping this update is in the near future. Thanks for the great and informative video!
I love your idea for Apple texts! How about a snooze function for a text message so you could be reminded later? or even better snooze until a specific time (like a scheduled communication time block on your calendar).
"Take things to the right room" is my favorite! I always utilize this one, especially having kids and their toys and clothes everywhere. This works really well along with "categorical bins and baskets"
My favorites are: trash cans in closet and laundry room., write every thing down, and scheduling for getting back to alerts. This is my favorite video by far in the last several years.
I feel this list on a spiritual level. 😂 The biggest thing that helps me stay organized is to *constantly* consolidate my notes. I have a habit of just grabbing the nearest thing and jotting stuff down, but if I don’t pick a designated notebook or digital platform to throw all of those impromptu scribbles into, they just get lost. Gotta localize! 😝
Agree! Before I started putting everything in my bullet journal I had too many places to write things down. I lost things all the time. I have Fibromyalgia which messes with you in so many ways. One thing is my memory. I could never remember what notebook and where I put it. I've put lettuce in my washing machine and clothes detergent in the refrigerator. I was distracted by pain. My bullet journal stays in my purse so I can never lose it.
Nikki Davis same thing for me I love prettt notebooks and I buy so many and I can never fill them up , and the cycle continues until recently I discovered that I can make my own note books and they can fit in my planner in so excited this has helped me tremendously lol
It can be a struggle to keep up, suffering from chronic migraines, but I do love this. Healthy positive routines are definitely key, especially when having a child too. I have to say, I found this app Tody, that has helped me keep a general house management routine...even after not being able to keep up for a few days and sometimes a week. I can jump right back in where I left off. This app does not rely solely on setting up a to-do list based on day, date, and times. It only rely's on how often something should be completed. This has changed so much for me! While this doesn't work for everything, it's a life changer for managing a household...along with all of our date/time specific appointments on the calendar. I'm managing things, instead of needing to do something when I am unable to physically. Sharing here, in case this could help someone who also struggles with chronic pain.
My favorite routine is a Sunday reflection routine! It helps me figure out what's working and what's not, and how I can streamline to be more efficient. Also, I LOVE writing everything down! The biggest lie I used to tell myself was "I'll rememher this later." I never remember. 😂
A tip for traveling: if you're traveling with other ppl and share expenses, download the App Splitwise. I'm currently using it for my 1 month trip with a friend and it's a game changer
My partner is so unorganized while I am super organized, living together has been such a trial and error trying to figure out the best way to work for him. We have psychical a "you, me and us" calendar in our joint office. It is SUPER handy. We also have a meal plan board which when used is also handy. We also merged our schedule for some stuff (we always shop on the same day/same place/around about the same time for example). And we have now started to do Sunday morning bulk cooking which paired with the meal planner makes "cooking" (because it is usually microwaving food) SO much easier and quicker. We've noticed our bills have decreased dramatically too. I introduced having a "home" for stuff to him (I find it super helpful) and he has since found it valuable, especially when it comes down to his mad rush mornings and he needs to grab his work tag/keys/wallet and go. When I lived with my housemates (5 of us) we had a shared weekly whiteboard calendar which we would use. Highly recommend doing something similar if you're in the same position. The air kiss at the end broke me a little bit! Hope you're doing okay.
I live by my routines you could almost set a clock by me. During holidays I have a different routine I go by. It's not as full on as my usual one, but I still get stuff done and gives the days a different feel to them.
Hallelujah! I keep trying to explain to people why I don’t reply to messages straight away and you’ve summed it up perfectly! I don’t understand why some people just don’t get it..I’m going to show them your video, maybe they’ll get it then :)
I'm obsessed with organization, makes life so much easier. Especially when you have kids and your own business! I have a recycle bin upstairs, so convenient & eco ;)
Using a calendar (obviously ;D), making a list of to-dos using the Eisenhower Matrix, and I make sure to put things back after I use them, so the next time I need them I know exactly where they are and I don't have to waste time looking for them
I made a meeting on my outlook calendar, set it to recur daily, it’s for 6am so doesn’t take work day space, when i open it i select open the series , I keep a running list of items, i update, add things etc, save, when I open the next day these items are there
I like having my bins to organize. I have a kallax unit next to my desk and the bins are organized by what kind of medium I'm about to use. One bin has my headphones, memory card reader, portable disc drive, and cables that I might need when editing videos or photos. One has sticker paper, cutting mats and accessories for my silhouette, markers, and anything else I need for making product labels. I also have a bin just for the things I need to grab on my way out to run errands like my purse and a hat for cold weather.
I too have felt the frustration when you messages goes to" read", and you want to attend to it later. This feature of making it unread works be of great help, even in Android phones.Love💕 your content and approach Amy. Thank you so much. 🙏
Loved this video, and not going to lie...thought about sending it to my mom just for the part about “you do not have to drop everything to answer a text”. I tell her that all the time!
love love love these tips! What helps me stay organized is getting ready ther night before and keeping those thngs by the door so i dont forget when i leave the house. lm constantly tweaking my habits, being open to suggestions, forgiving myself if i didnt do my best that day. Like you said, everything has its place. Marie Kondo everything. It helped when i Konmari'd every item in the house, start fresh and maintain.
I love the POWER HOUR Things, and to make time for Little, fast TIDYUPS in the afternoon when my desk tend to be messy. I also Focus everyday on my TOP GOALS.
Well, I watched this as someone who’s often told “oh, you’re so organised”. I didn’t believe I was that organised. I’m shocked at how many of these things I do though 💪🏻 I especially love the one about displaying a calendar for all to see. I have a weekly and monthly calendar on my kitchen door so my husband knows where we’re all at and it encourages him to fill it in too (😜) and my kids learn how to be organised. They know to check it to see what we’re doing each week/day 💪🏻
I often feel overwhelmed by the general day-to-day tasks because I’m very disorganised. As a teacher this has not served me well, BUT something I’ve started doing is keeping a running log of outstanding student tasks I have to catch up on. I track every step I need to take and that’s been a lifesaver.
1. Have routines that work for you 2. Write everything down - ideas, thoughts, tasks 3. Categorize baskets - a basket for like items and/or different rooms 4. E-mail organization - 5. Takes things with you - put them back to where they belong 6. Don’t drop everything for other things that can wait 7. Use a collaborative calendar - for those that need to be in the know of your day
Just got out a pen to write my weeks routine after this vid 😂 thanks Amy! Such a great video!! What I find sooo good is waking up at 5am tho hands down makes you so productive:)) xxxx
I love routines!! They help me build habits and achieve goals! But, I feel that it's also very important to get out of our routines once in a while so that we can boost our creativity and get out of our comfort zone. Who agrees? :)
On organizing* I use a Que I am a diy artist and I have a Row of totes (Small ones) that are projects in order they will be done. They slide forward as I take one away to work on. Then I have a side table. As I am working on projects in a pomodoro method of like 25min solid work 5 min break etc. Its best not to start a new section that i would stop in middle of if i finish early. So the side table is a few stacks of small items I can do in a few seconds. And a bin to stack finished peices in. Those are bonus but also use up whatever color i am working with so i am not wasting time Unspooling a Bobbin or stopping part way on next section to reload. I also have a Bulk loader set up And prep ahead a tad over what i think i need so I am not starting and stopping. However as people do need to start and stop like people working in a Dining room table who dont have a Lot of space (Been there) i have an assortment of hacks for Keeping projects organized with starting and stopping. *I needed help on how to make videos on this and watching you has been a big help.* Thanks for being a positive role model and Hope you someday find some of my hacks as useful as I find having a role modle.
RE: Texts I also wish for an unread/later button. My workaround is to mash the keyboard "hdwfjdaugdm" or write a few reactionary words then go back to messages. So then it says "draft" in the corner. (I am an android user however, so idk about iPhone)
Collaborative family calendar is going to change my life! 👍 It's just a small organizational thing, but I like getting as many items ready as possible the night before. I work outside in the wilderness a lot, and mornings are very early, so I do as many tasks as I can the night before so my morning routine is simple and easy to achieve. It gives me a better sense of accomplishment.
One organising trick that has really helped me is my folder system. I bought a lot of plastic folders, sorted my paperwork into them, put a title in each folder and sorted the folders into magazine holders, alphabetically. It's amazing, especially if my husband needs something (like vaccination records for the cats when he's going to the vet).
One, if it can get done in five minutes, do it now and be done with it. Two, if not, schedule it. Three To avoid interruption, let others know when you will become available. Four, do important things rather than urgent ones. Five: Schedule difficult tasks for the morning hours. Six: Batch like tasks together. Seven: Delegate what is best done by someone else. Eight: Plan your work Work your plan Nine: Plan the next thing before you are finished with the current thing. Ten: Constantly improve, learn from mistakes, and The multiplier effect: Sequencing puts the tasks in a beneficial order to reduce getting stuck when one task depends on others. The synergistic effect: Having all the contributors agree on major goals an outcomes promotes collaboration and cooperation. More productive than competition, synergism will bring a team together towards a common goal. The Diamond effect: Works like mapping a travel plan where you reduce driving distance by going to the stops in a geographic order. For example: Do all the task in one location together whether in a computer program or otherwise.
Android: 1. If you have the action grid selected as one of your swipe actions, swipe the message you would like to mark as unread and open up the action grid. 2. Click on “Mark Unread” or “Mark Read”.
This needs to be said - Organizing/decluttering on a computer!? Keeping files in place. Is there a good system? You've inspired big time. Maybe there are more than me on this topic. I hope my message comes through. Xx Fredrika
You are hilariously intelligent. When I watch your channel I realize I’m doing a lot of the right things and the way you express it you have me giggling a lot. More people should have your personality it would be a happier place. Necee
Amy, I just love your sense of humor and honesty!! This is a great post. Well, I try to always have my daily planner. I wish to know you more because I simply love you!!!
Like you were saying about writing things down, I have sticky notes in every room of my house so when I think of something I just write it down and stick it to the wall then on Sunday’s I gather them all up and use those to help me plan my next week.
Send the txt messages you want to remember, but can't mark unread, back to yourself. Then you know that messages from ypurself you need to check again but can leave unread, until you routinely check them at some point(s) of the day. It's like note taking, your brain will remember making a note. Now your brain has the routine to forget to check txt messages again because you don't routinely check them again. You could have a routine for that of course. That might be better, because some new thoughts and ideas might pop up when you go back to things later again allowing you to be more creative. Thanks for th inspiring video!
I am a free spirit at heart and HATED routines. They seemed to rob me of my freedom (my #1 value). Until I realized that my lack of routines was the #1 thing robbing me of freedom. 🤯They eliminate so much chaos, so much extra work, so much brain power and creative energy. Once I realized that routines were my missing key to my next level, I became obsessed. Now I’m maniacal about them. #430amclub 😂
1. Have routines (morning, evening routines, to get ready, workout, start working routine) 2. Write everything down (bullet journal, morning pages, digital or paper system): lists, todo, notes, ideas, feelings, review 3. Categorical bins and baskets (ex: for bedsheets, for clothes, white or colorful clothes, for toys, etc) 4. Use email organization tools (or just organize your emails by unsubscribe a little bit, create folders for projects / clients / school, work / todo, to follow etc) 5. Take things to the right room (when you are quitting from one room to another room or spend 5 min each evening to put things back) 6. Utilize "do not disturb" to have deep down work time - avoid distractions from your phone 7. Use collaborative calendars (with your family, your colleagues)
Batch Cooking/Meal Prep was the thing that made the rest of the organizing pieces fall into place for me. I grocery shop once a pay period, cook/wash dishes two or three times per pay period (The rest of the time I rinse out my tupperware at lunch and stack it in the dishwasher before cooking day)....total game changer.
How I try to stay organized is to use the "only touch it once rule" for simple tasks. For example, if I someone hands me a document to sign, I sign it and hand it right back. Instead of taking it to my office, setting on my desk, and getting to it later (or worse, having it get sucked into my desk vortex). Little things I know will only take 2 seconds I try to do right then and there and that helps from things piling up. 😊
Diapasons like a great symphony with every emotional feeling perfectly balanced. Like a beautiful landscape as complex as Yosemite or The Grand Tetons. Like a well balanced experience of multiple flavors developed over several courses from simple to complex. It walks the listener from challenges into achievement when talks traverse the pitfalls and disappointment into overcoming difficulty and excelling. The greater the challenge, the more worthwhile the effort.
This is great! I need to start a collaborative calendar with my fiancé. It drives me nuts when he schedules things without telling me b/c he thinks I’ll just go along and then I realized I do the same!
Brilliant video :) thanks to you I've established my own morning routine and lost weight because of it and I'm kind of obsessed with calendar blocking. I just LOVE your videos :)
@@boujieekaylonnii5238 I don't have to either, but after I tried several times, I started to feel it so damn good to wake up and start working/self-caring early. I keep this habit just because I love it. I love it more than watching TV till late at night, that's it. So I guess maybe try more times to see if it really feels good to you? You don't have to be a morning person, everyone is different😊 maybe you are the type that's more productive say after 9AM? Explore more and be patient to yourself😉 oh and trust yourself!
I am not organized at all. My office is a disaster area and the rest of the house not much better. I am working on getting it together and getting it organized. So I watch things like this!~ Thank you!
Nice video.. loved the idea of collaborative calendar. I feel that to stay organized it's important to understand that everything has it's own place and that once used everything has to go into it's place.
I use Google calendar. My husband and I have a shared calendar. It's so helpful! I don't put everything on the shared calendar, but it's easy to choose what calendar to put an entry in.
Your hair color and style looks so good! I had watched some of your videos a long time ago and I just realized you're the same person (with different hair), lol. It looks great!
Lovely video. I will get mezelf more organized by tackling my to do list which also includes decluttering, so I have a place where my backpack goes that I use for work.
OMG I relate so badly to the request for Apple to leave messages unread lol I need that in my life, I am exactly the same in that I like to deal with text messages as a block!
U can mark a message a message unread after reading it on messages for apple. Just go to messages and that place where u can tap on a bunch of ppls name to message and decide who u want to txt. so if u just swipe from left to right on someones name then u can mark it as unread for urself so u dont forget to look at the message later
A great organization tool I use is an app called Cozi for my family. It allows us to put in birthdays, set reminders, put in events, etc so that everyone can see & it color codes family members. You could even set up a chores Checklist & for reminders to go to specific members. I love it ... I use Google 📅 for my own personal things
I add all monthly events at work on my work calendar , ie monthly breakfast, safety meeting, employee of the month ( mainly because eating is involved) lol
Recently, I tagged the shelves of our kitchen cabinets with labels, which show the contents of the shelves. So everything has its place and I find everything quickly.
Sticking to a morning routine every day. That includes putting things back where they actually belong. Keeping the space clean. I like to walk into a tidy room. 😊
I always think back to a video you made that you talked about showing people that their time is important to you. Respecting their time by showing up for meetings "early" or whatever. I have this sales agent in the office that has a complete lack of respect for everything. He answers b.s. calls during meetings, presentations, when he's with clients, and so on. He puts calls on hold to answer other calls, and sometimes even a third call. Sometimes, he does all of that while the client is sitting in his office with him. He's a complete joke in our office. It's sad, and frustrating. I wish i could send him that video to watch and hope it actually gets through to him. That video and his bad behavior really make me constantly be aware of my time and other peoples time and making sure we are both being respected.
I use Evernote, my outlook calendar and most of all I plan in advance at least within 24hours notice when comes to my private life. This allows me not feel overwhelmed to try and please everyone and allows me to plan time for myself
Love organization and routines...like honestly it saves you so much time in the long run...not sure why ppl fight it...allows you even to be lazier ... hey that is a great video idea!!🤣🤣
One thing that helped me so much (both in personal and professional life) is that everything has to have its place. Whether it is e-mail or a towel. If it doesn't have its room, there will be a mess at some point.😊

Great idea!!
I do all of these!
@@erinhardy8820 , glad that people are digging these tips!
I definitely need to keep coupons and reusable grocery bags in my car. Great tim thank you

You’re so right! Plus being organized can also save you sooo much money. 👍 like for example meal planning.
Meal prep is an incredible practice that simplifies my life in a major way.
Loved this! To stay organized I have the rule everything has a home and only touch stuff one time to get to its home.
"Take things to the right room" is my favorite! I always utilize this one, especially having kids and their toys and clothes everywhere. This works really well along with "categorical bins and baskets"
New game to stay hydrated...take a drink (water) every time Amy says routine 🤣
Yay! There is an Organized People Club! My family tries to make me think I am crazy. I am just extremely organized 🌻 Glad I found your channel.
My favorite routine is a Sunday reflection routine! It helps me figure out what's working and what's not, and how I can streamline to be more efficient.
Also, I LOVE writing everything down! The biggest lie I used to tell myself was "I'll rememher this later."
I never remember.
Elwyn McKenzie same!
I love this! I write everything down and people are like "how do you remember everything?" 😁
Same. I have a crappy memory. If I didn't write everything down I'd be so screwed!
I love the POWER HOUR Things, and to make time for Little, fast TIDYUPS in the afternoon when my desk tend to be messy. I also Focus everyday on my TOP GOALS.
Power hour is the best!
They know to check it to see what we’re doing each week/day 💪🏻
Watching this, while I'm sitting in my messy house, eating a lunchable because I'm not feeling it. You always help me 😍
I often feel overwhelmed by the general day-to-day tasks because I’m very disorganised. As a teacher this has not served me well, BUT something I’ve started doing is keeping a running log of outstanding student tasks I have to catch up on. I track every step I need to take and that’s been a lifesaver.
I started to use a bullet plan Journal and its very awesome tool that started to help me be more organized in life.
1. Have routines that work for you
2. Write everything down - ideas, thoughts, tasks
3. Categorize baskets - a basket for like items and/or different rooms
4. E-mail organization -
5. Takes things with you - put them back to where they belong
6. Don’t drop everything for other things that can wait
7. Use a collaborative calendar - for those that need to be in the know of your day
YES on the ability to flag a message to respond!!! I've thought the same thing so many times.
I make lists of everything that you can make lists about: grocery lists, lists of movies I want to watch, books, series, playlists...
Alejandra Rodríguez Me too!
I do, too! All my lists are in my bullet journal. It's the best thing I've ever started!
I've been making lists since I was 9.
Probably a coping mechanism for living in a dysfunctional family . .. .even so, I'm really good at it now!
@@KathrineJKozachok Same here. I agree.
Me too...it uncluttered my mind and makes life easier
Setting organized that I do- absolutely nothing. Lol! That's why I'm here. Your advice is absolutely wonderful!!!
Who agrees? :)
On organizing*
I use a Que
I am a diy artist and I have a Row of totes (Small ones) that are projects in order they will be done.
I also have a Bulk loader set up
And prep ahead a tad over what i think i need so I am not starting and stopping.
However as people do need to start and stop like people working in a Dining room table who dont have a Lot of space (Been there) i have an assortment of hacks for Keeping projects organized with starting and stopping.
*I needed help on how to make videos on this and watching you has been a big help.*
Thanks for being a positive role model and Hope you someday find some of my hacks as useful as I find having a role modle.
RE: Texts
I also wish for an unread/later button. My workaround is to mash the keyboard "hdwfjdaugdm" or write a few reactionary words then go back to messages. So then it says "draft" in the corner. (I am an android user however, so idk about iPhone)
Collaborative family calendar is going to change my life! 👍
It's just a small organizational thing, but I like getting as many items ready as possible the night before.
Oh my gosh, yes!!! I wish there was an "unread" option for messages!!!
Eight: Plan your work Work your plan
Nine: Plan the next thing before you are finished with the current thing.
Ten: Constantly improve, learn from mistakes, and
The multiplier effect: Sequencing puts the tasks in a beneficial order to reduce getting stuck when one task depends on others.
So agree to be able to mark text messages as unread!
I have an Android and I can mark a text message as unread --- very handy. I do share my calendar with family which is also great.
Android: 1. If you have the action grid selected as one of your swipe actions, swipe the message you would like to mark as unread and open up the action grid. 2. Click on “Mark Unread” or “Mark Read”.
This needs to be said
- Organizing/decluttering on a computer!?
Crazy right? There’s definitely a chance of too much rigidity in routines too though. I have that happen.
Amy Landino for sure. I’ll let you know when I get there. 😂
Yes!
1. Have routines (morning, evening routines, to get ready, workout, start working routine)
2. Write everything down (bullet journal, morning pages, digital or paper system): lists, todo, notes, ideas, feelings, review
3. Categorical bins and baskets (ex: for bedsheets, for clothes, white or colorful clothes, for toys, etc)
4. Use email organization tools (or just organize your emails by unsubscribe a little bit, create folders for projects / clients / school, work / todo, to follow etc)
5. Take things to the right room (when you are quitting from one room to another room or spend 5 min each evening to put things back)
6. Utilize "do not disturb" to have deep down work time - avoid distractions from your phone
7. Use collaborative calendars (with your family, your colleagues)
Love this, ! I do most of these, but I love the trash can in the closet.... That is BRILLIANT 🤩🤩💕
"Your Brain was not meant to be the place you keep thoughts, ideas, reminder - "
Right between the eyes - THIS !!!
I LOVE the Unread text messages idea. I've actually thought of that before when using my work phone.
Waking up at 5 AM and get control of the morning + control my diet!
Frank one of my goals is to wake up early daily, it’s so hard if I don’t absolutely have to howwwwww help
Thinking of you Amy and your brother. Each time you look up at the end I see a brief flash of pain. I hope someday it is replaced with joy. 😇💕
“Dear apple” 😂 I want SO badly to be able to mark a text unread. I wish for that every dang day
Or just turn off read receipts! :)
mistysmagicallife they are off, I just always forget to reply! 🤦♀️
Molly WOW definitely trying this today! Thanks!
They have something like this now in the reminders.
Amanda Audrey had no idea, I’ll need to look into that!
YES!!! I need an “unread” option on texts like i do my email!!!
Take things to the right room is the favorite
I add all monthly events at work on my work calendar , ie monthly breakfast, safety meeting, employee of the month ( mainly because eating is involved) lol
I SOOO agree on the whole Apple text message thing. Drives me nuts!! Great tips. Definitely sharing these.
Recently, I tagged the shelves of our kitchen cabinets with labels, which show the contents of the shelves. So everything has its place and I find everything quickly.
Totally agree on the baskets!!!!🙌🏾
Amy! Thank you for talking about that text message thing!!!! THANK YOU. I hope Apple and all the phone companies see that.
Love organization and routines...like honestly it saves you so much time in the long run...not sure why ppl fight it...allows you even to be lazier ... hey that is a great video idea!!🤣🤣
Your videos have been speaking to me so much! I really love your new intro and the new style of editing you’ve got going on. Amazing! :)
This is what I needed! I am literally getting into various routines and need to get more organized! Thank you!
Lovely!!
