I expect something similar to the tour this year where they're playing The Legacy and the New Order in full when the rights to Practice revert to them next year...
Clemente was a stick destroyer. When I saw Testament play with Slayer on Souls Of Black tour, Louie was breaking 2 sticks a song. He hit everything hard!
one of the best thrash meatal albums of all time. perfect in every way, old school drums, Chuck sings great, solos from another planet. Testament on this album destroys everything before it... I love it.
Practice What You Preach is probably my favorite Testament album. In my opinion, it might not be their heaviest and it might not be their fastest, but the songs are all sooooo good! I love the melodic touch Billy used with his vocals and Skolnick’s licks are top notch.
Love when great bands revisit their past catalogue. And this is an official video, so it means more. Now we need one for “Sins Of Omission”. What a classic album.
When I first heard this in the late nineties I always wondered if he was playing with a pick or why does the bass sound so different than all the other albums. Like it sounds like he's picking right up against the bridge of the bass.
Don't know why this album gets criticized. It's in my top ten albums of all time. Literally on my "you can only have these 10 albums to listen to for the rest of your life" list! 🤘😎
I don't know why and how it is in the USA but from the other side of the ocean we see the USA Thrash Metal enough like BIG 7 while MetallicA, MegadetH, SLAYER, ANTHRAX a lot of TestamenT, OverKill and ExoduS
would love a 2024 remix/remaster of this album, my fav Testament Album I was 15 years old and had been playing guitar for 2 years.... The solo for practice what you preach was a study in technique
FANTASTIC SONG OFF A FANTASTIC ALBUM. LOVE THIS JAM. . THIS WHOLE ALBUM DELIVERS. CRANK IT UP LOUD. HORNS UP. 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
I agree with metal, pilgrim testament is the best thrash metal band and this is definitely a hidden gem!! Still stands strong for All American heavy metal, ana/thrash metal of today!! Can’t wait to see them all on tour again!!🤘🤘🤘
You are both fighting over 2 nd place, nothing,,,,, beats The Legacy, every song has enough riffs to write three songs from those lps, and they are both awesome, but cmon nothing touches The Legacy
It is two different experience to listen to this song at my 20s and at the age of 41. To be honest, I wasn't a big fan of this song 20 years ago but now I realize that all riffs are very strong.
Wanted to add another comment. I had two cassette tapes I wore out back in 1989-1990. Metallica kill em all and this album (and new order). I was just starting guitar at that time and hearing Alex vs. Kirk I was like, ok, Alex knows what he is doing and is so melodic and tasty, sweeps, beautiful scalar runs. vs Kirk just wackin out minor pentatonics. I thank Alex for keeping me interested in guitar and being my first major influence. still playing all this time later and still love skolnick's style. his leads on souls of black are all next level - such a perfect metal player.
I paid $10 at one of the booths on the boardwalk in Seaside Heights, NJ, in the summer of 1989 for this cassette instead of wasting my money trying to win it. I'm still listening to this day. I'm pissed they canceled the show in St. Pete last Wednesday because of hurricane damage. I had tickets.
This was the album that introduced me, and subsequently got me soooo into this band. For me, it’s 2nd only to THE RITUAL as far as the classic era is concerned. Just my opinion, but the band’s more recent material is actually better than the 80’s stuff.
Practice What You Preach is a great album. Sins of Omission is my favorite.
Testament is one of the best Thrash Metal bands of all time! And this is a hidden gem in their discography!
Agree 💯💯💯 True friend
Pilgrim! 🤘 I have always loved the music but the lyrics are terrible, it's like something I would have wrote in 9th grade...lol.
I invite you to see the ranking of his discography on my channel 🤘😲🤘
As s fan of Mefallica, and mistrustallica, unsure why It wasn't Testallica 🧐
It's a crime that more of this album isn't in the touring setlists.
Stuff like Envy Life, Sins of Omission, Perilous Nation and even The Ballad should be played more often 🥲
I expect something similar to the tour this year where they're playing The Legacy and the New Order in full when the rights to Practice revert to them next year...
I've seen them a grip of times and they regularly play songs from this album
@@DaveThrash00imo it’s by far their best album 🤘🏻
@@DaveThrash00 agreed
For whatever reason, I can bang my head to Louie Clemente all day long. He's like the Lars of old Testament as he gave them a certain vibe back then.
same here, his drumming has something i cant describe
@asanseil5553 a certain vibe of not beeing very good at drumming

Nah Louie can play drums Lars just bangs away on empty Heinz cans.

Wore this album on cassette out. Still have it.

When I heard Disciples Of The Watch and Trial By Fire for the first time I was hooked. 30 yrs. ago. Incredible musicians. Still going strong!
always loved the bass playing on this album. i wore out this cassette back in the day! sony walkman, yeah.
Yes! Love Greg, great player and killer tone.

@@sweengeppetto1915 One of things I always like about Greg is that he plays with his fingers 🤘
By the way, it’s pretty damn cool that they’ve made a video for this. I hope they do it with more old songs that a lot of people may not have heard.
Right back to my youth,Testament is still #1 to me.
practice what you preach is such an amazing album.. been a big influence on my songwriting for many years.
Classic song from a legendary band. Practice What You Preach is my 2nd favorite album.
Don't know why this album gets criticized. It's in my top ten albums of all time. Literally on my "you can only have these 10 albums to listen to for the rest of your life" list! 🤘😎
It’s ok
Neither do I, especially after the fact that this was the first Testament album I ever owned/heard of.
Its because “ the ballad” at least if ive ever slagged it that was the reason😜😊
Thanks for Eric's incredible riffing, Alex's godly soloing and Chuck's awesome voice!
That bass!!! Greg Christian is one of my fave bass players due this record. This was my introduction to Testament.
Well this took me for a trip on the way back machine.
Haven't heard this gem in a long time. Practice What You Preach was a great album
Still lift weights to this album! 🤘🔥🤟
Forget the "Big 4"... All I need is Testament 👊
FACTS Brother, FACTS! Testament got me into metal as a whole thanks to Souls Of Black and I am SO thankful for these guys!!
absolutely yes!!!

Prophecy? Relevant to this day! Lifelong Testament fan! Seen them 3 times! Alway's had a blast!
they finally made just for this song, one of the most underrated ever, hope they play it live soon!!
Sounds better than ever!
That's when you know TestAmenT was even ahead of their time!!!
Play Live!!!!!
I used to have this Gem of a record on CD in the late 80's...Wish I never got rid of it!
Still have the original vinyl (like of every Testament album) - this one is really great album!
Love from Texas to all of Testament!
How fitting for this day and age! Souls Of Black is still my favorite album, though.
yess, my favourite Testament album

This album was my introduction to Testament and I was an instant fan for life.
One of the first albums I ever bought. Made me an instantaneous fan.
Definitely a underated album its got alot of bangers on it
Its not underrated, anyone who likes Trash metal knows its a classic
Testament is one of my top 3 groups all times since they released their debut album. For me, They are legend.
How fitting for these times we are living in Lately! But also so damn cool!
the fact people thought this was new is hilarious.
Yeah, but this album is so forgettable it's no wonder
I wish it was new. You remember how badass it was the first time you heard stuff like this?
I scrolled through the comments. Literally nobody mistook it for a new song
@@kaspersaldell This album is overhated I love this album defiantly the weakest of their old stuff but not bad

Best album of all time. No contest!!!!
Respectfully disagree, that title belongs to The New Order.
@@Salisboury OBJECTION 😂😂 this album has Sins of ommision
@@realenhitdax4280and the new order has all the tracks from the new order. This is far from their best let alone the best album of all time.

Picked this gem up on its release day back in 1989. Great album!
For me #1 thrash metal band of all time
I recognize this!!!

Fave testament album🤘
All Hail The Mighty, Mighty Testament!
BANGER 🔥🔥🔥😭
last album of theirs that got me all fired up, turn it over and play it again like
but i was only 17... ok almost 18
Classic song but thought it was going to be some kind of rerecording.
Fantastic album too.
It was my first Testament album and I discovered how great their music is.
what trips me out is stuff that’s been out for 14+ years and sounds better than the new stuff so I never get old 😅. I ❤ metal (Testament).
Saw them on this tour at 1st Ave., Minneapolis. 1989 Still one of the greatest shows ever!
My 90s high school days have returned again.
Practice es el mejor disco de Testament y de ahí no me mueve nadie
Our brother Chief Chuck Billy's raw vocals on this album. 🤘🏼😎🤘🏼💥

There's me thinking this was a new song release!! Goes to show that this song and album have aged like fine wine.
Goes to show you're not very familiar with the testament discography
The bass drum sounds like slapping down a Kraft single on a table. 😂 Love this album regardless.
That’s my only problem with this album, the fucking clicky bass drum
Thrashsterpeice!! 👍🔥🗽🔥
F Yeah! More Testy!!!
Thank You Testament for build this Legacy . 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘

Aw hell yeah new testament vid. This song (and whole album) kicks ass!🤘🔥
I still think PWYP is their best album. Everything clicked, just thrash metal perfection.

THIS is when Testament Ruled!
The bass is godly
