It sounds quite well. If it had a turbo mode, I would snab one in a jiffy. Guess the Mosky King Rat is still the better option?

I use my Rat as a low gain overdrive and it’s sublime.
It's low key my favourite way of using it, I feel kinda guilty when I do though as it's known for its higher gain 🤣🤣
@@BudgetPedalChap Awesome. Glad there’s another fan. I just stack mine with other overdrives after it. It’s my ‘always on’ pedal with a Strat and a Fender Supersonic.

I liked the fat mouse more but the Mosky convers more ground

@@BudgetPedalChap Well I think it might, the Fat Mouse sounds great and the Golden Rat is based on the ProCo Rat V2 and there are no video reviews on it, so I think so.

Fat Rat or Mosky King Rat M-Series ?
That's a toughie, but I think I would go for this one because of the simplicity. I would gig either though

Why not just use the original RAT?
This one is half the price and has more options with the toggle switches.
@@BudgetPedalChap I've been using the RAT boosted with a tube screamer and an EQ since I started playing hard rock and metal back in '81,never needed anything else
