It looks like very quiet. Even at "high gain". Is that due to your set up or does the pedal very quiet ?

Yes.You can.
Does this act like an EQ also?
The pedal is a Tube Screamer with a Bass dial that adds a ton of bottom end - which is not demonstrated here, but elsewhere. Demo the Tone controls too, please.

Are you basing this comment on schematics or just your impressions? I have not looked at schematics to compare but in my experience with both pedals TS and the 2 Dfx Jan Ray's I own is that this is not simply a TS or clone. It's like saying everything tastes like chicken. Does it have some Tubescreamer DNA in there? Maybe.
I heard them compared; they sound the same. Not a clean boost, lots of personality. Great price. @@YellowBrickFloyd
Not...a TS. I have 2 of these Demon Fx Jan Ray with the internal trim pots set differently. 1 @ 8:30 stock and 1 @ 11:30. To me that's the usable range of that pot with my setup. Great before and after other drives but can get some hissing noise at higher gain settings...fine with noise gate. I am not paying 400.00 for a " real" Jan Ray" when it is a copy of Timmy if not mistaken.

I know this is a few months old, but anyone know if this (or DFX's KC Drive) has the internal 18v charge pump like the OG & most Jan Ray/Klon clones?

No para nada! De echo el DemonFx es una copia mucho más fiel al original a diferencia del Nux(que es bueno) pero suena diferente y tiene otro corte de frecuencias, lo mismo pasa con el UZI de Joyo, y el clon del Freeman DemonFx
